Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and to determine the improvement of reading interest among fourth-grade students at MIS Muhammadiyah Cece. The study was motivated by the students' low reading interest, marked by weak reading habits, low reading motivation, and limited involvement in reading activities during Indonesian language lessons. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 17 fourth-grade students, consisting of 10 female and 7 male students. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively and quantitatively by calculating the percentages of learning implementation, student activity, and reading interest in every cycle. The results showed that the implementation of PBL improved students' reading interest. In Cycle I, only 30% of students reached the mastery criterion, with student activity at 74% (active category) and learning implementation at 83% (very good category). In Cycle II, reading interest increased to 82%, exceeding the success indicator of at least 75% of students scoring ≥80, while student activity and learning implementation both reached 96% (very active and very good). It is concluded that the PBL model is effective in improving fourth-grade students' reading interest at MIS Muhammadiyah Cece.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of vocational competence and field work practice on the work readiness of grade XII students in the Light Vehicle Engineering Expertise Concentration at SMKN 2 Pandeglang. This research used a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto method. The population consisted of 43 students, all of whom were selected as the sample using saturated sampling. Vocational competence data were obtained from the Vocational Competency Test scores, while field work practice and work readiness data were collected using questionnaires. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, prerequisite tests, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The results showed that: (1) vocational competence did not have a significant effect on students' work readiness, with t = -0.600 and Sig. = 0.552, with a contribution of 0.8%; (2) field work practice had a positive and significant effect on work readiness, with t = 4.878 and Sig. = 0.000, and R² = 0.362 or 36.2%; and (3) vocational competence and field work practice simultaneously had a significant effect on work readiness, with F = 11.999 and Sig. = 0.000. The coefficient of determination of 0.369 indicates that both variables jointly contributed 36.9% to students' work readiness, while the remaining 63.1% was influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study examines the strategies implemented by the Marriage Advisory, Development, and Preservation Agency (BP4) of Tamansari District to preserve marriages and prevent divorce through preventive and curative programs. The study is motivated by the gap between BP4's intended role in strengthening family resilience and the practical challenges it faces in delivering its services, particularly due to limited institutional resources. The research aims to analyze the implementation of BP4 programs, evaluate their effectiveness in supporting marital stability, and identify the operational challenges encountered in service delivery. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and a review of relevant literature. Data credibility was ensured through source triangulation. The findings show that BP4 has implemented marriage guidance (Bimbingan Perkawinan/Bimwin), counseling, and mediation programs in collaboration with the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA). These programs have contributed to improving legal awareness, communication skills, and conflict management among prospective and married couples. However, their effectiveness has mainly been evaluated based on qualitative findings rather than quantitative evidence. The study also identifies several challenges, including the lack of an independent budget, a limited number of certified facilitators, and low public awareness of the importance of premarital guidance. Therefore, strengthening cross-sector collaboration, improving facilitator capacity through continuous training, and expanding the use of digital-based educational approaches are recommended to enhance BP4's role in preserving marriages and reducing divorce rates.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how digital gaming trends affect the social and emotional development of elementary school students. The method used in this study is a desk research approach with a literature review approach from national and international journals published between 2021 and 2026. The findings of the study indicate that digital gaming can have both positive and negative impacts on children's social and emotional development. Positive impacts can be seen in increased communication skills, cooperation, and self-confidence, while negative impacts can be seen in decreased social interaction, emotional control, and the emergence of imitative behavior due to excessive use. Therefore, it is important for parents and teachers to monitor the use of digital games to ensure that it supports children's development in an optimal way.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of internalizing the values of sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah through the Marriage Guidance (Bimwin) program at the Religious Affairs Office (KUA) and its impact on the spiritual readiness of couples post-guidance. Using a mixed-method approach with a dominant qualitative descriptive design, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, field observation, questionnaires (), and documentation with Bimwin facilitators and alumni couples. The results show that internalizing Samawa values is carried out through core materials, case simulations, and interactive discussions. The impact on spiritual readiness is manifested in three main dimensions: increased joint worship practices, improved Islamic-based conflict resolution, and strengthened attitudes of mutual forgiveness (tawakal/ridha). The study recommends differentiating guidance methods based on participants' educational backgrounds and strengthening time management.
