Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed language learning, including Arabic translation studies at the university level. This research aims to investigate the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing translation learning methods among seventh-semester students who actively utilize AI-based applications such as Google Translate, ChatGPT, Cici AI, Claude AI, and DeepSeek AI. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, involving three purposively selected informants. The findings reveal that AI assists students in understanding sentence structures, analyzing contextual meanings, and verifying translation results across multiple platforms. AI also improves learning efficiency and supports independent learning by providing alternative lexical choices and detailed explanations. However, limitations such as semantic bias, inaccuracies in idiomatic texts, and risks of overreliance on technology remain challenges. This study concludes that AI plays a strategic role in translation learning and is highly relevant for developing more interactive, analytical, and autonomous learning models. The implications highlight the need for guided pedagogical integration, further comparative research across AI platforms, and institutional support in digital literacy strengthening.

Abstract

Pembentukan karakter merupakan mandat penting dalam pendidikan Indonesia, namun kemerosotan karakter religius dan moral masih menjadi masalah serius pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis implementasi pembiasaan religius dalam pembentukan karakter siswa di SD An-Nur Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap kondensasi, penyajian, dan verifikasi secara interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembiasaan religius diterapkan secara konsisten dan terstruktur melalui kegiatan rutin harian, mingguan, dan program khusus, termasuk tadarus pagi, salat Dhuha dan Dzuhur berjamaah, literasi Islami, salam–senyum–sapa, dan doa bersama. Kegiatan tersebut berdampak signifikan terhadap pengembangan religiusitas, kedisiplinan, sopan santun, dan perilaku sosial siswa. Keberhasilan pembiasaan religius dipengaruhi oleh keteladanan guru, budaya sekolah yang kondusif, dukungan fasilitas, serta peran aktif kepala sekolah. Meskipun efektif, beberapa tantangan muncul, seperti perbedaan latar belakang keluarga, praktik ibadah yang cenderung mekanis, dan keterbatasan keterlibatan orang tua. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pembiasaan religius merupakan strategi efektif dalam pembentukan karakter siswa dan memberikan kontribusi teoritis serta praktis bagi penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis religiusitas di sekolah dasar. Rekomendasi meliputi penguatan kegiatan reflektif, peningkatan keteladanan guru, keterlibatan orang tua, dan evaluasi program secara berkala untuk memastikan internalisasi nilai karakter yang lebih holistik dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Science and Social Studies (IPAS) among fifth-grade students at MI Mis At Taufiq Singaraja in the 2024/2025 academic year through the implementation of the Think Pair Share cooperative learning model. The background of the study stems from the low student learning outcomes, particularly in the topic of the human digestive organs. Based on the results of a daily test, only 52.17% of students achieved the learning mastery criteria, with an average score of 64.52, which is below the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKTP) set by the school. This issue is attributed to the lack of variety in teaching methods, low student motivation and participation, and minimal collaboration during learning, causing students to be passive and struggle to understand the material. This research is a classroom action study conducted in two cycles, following the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection methods included tests, observation, and document analysis. The data were analyzed descriptively to identify improvements in student learning outcomes. The results showed a significant improvement in student achievement. In the pre-cycle stage, the average student score was 64.52 with an absorption rate of 64.52% and a classical completeness percentage of 52.17%. After applying the Think Pair Share model in Cycle I, the average score increased to 71.30, with a 71.30% absorption rate and a classical completeness of 78.26%. In Cycle II, the average score reached 79.35, with an absorption rate of 79.35% and a classical completeness of 100%. In conclusion, the application of the Think Pair Share cooperative learning model can improve the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at MI Mis At Taufiq Singaraja.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis integrasi penting antara Revolusi Mental, Intelektualisme, dan Spiritualisme dalam sistem pendidikan nasional Indonesia untuk membentuk individu yang utuh. Pergeseran ini diperlukan akibat perubahan global dan krisis karakter bangsa, menuntut pendidikan untuk melampaui transfer pengetahuan semata menjadi pembangunan karakter komprehensif. Permasalahan penelitian berfokus pada implementasi konsep Revolusi Mental dalam pendidikan, peran guru dalam melahirkan "Generasi Emas," dan pencapaian keseimbangan antara Intelektualisme dan Spiritualisme. Intelektualisme didefinisikan sebagai pengembangan nalar kritis, kreativitas, dan literasi digital untuk memecahkan masalah kompleks. Sebaliknya, Spiritualisme menekankan pada pengembangan kecerdasan spiritual (SQ), nilai moral yang kokoh, dan karakter yang selaras dengan ajaran agama, guna mencegah penyalahgunaan kecerdasan intelektual. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis filosofis dan konseptual terhadap ketiga elemen ini. Temuan utama adalah bahwa konvergensi ketiga aspek ini merupakan kunci untuk menghasilkan generasi yang berdaya saing global namun tetap berakar pada nilai-nilai luhur (Insan Kamil). Transformasi ini membutuhkan guru sebagai ujung tombak pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter melalui keteladanan dan pembiasaan.

Abstract

Reading ability is a crucial aspect of language proficiency. This is because reading ability can influence learning outcomes and processes. Based on observations conducted in class 1 of SDN 195 Isola, it was found that students had below-average learning outcomes. The cause was identified as the students' insufficient reading ability, which affected their learning outcomes. Therefore, the researcher developed an instructional media using the scramble method to enhance early reading skills. The research employed a classroom action research design to examine the impact of using the scramble media on improving the early reading ability and learning outcomes of grade 1 students at SDN 195 Isola. The research subjects consisted of 26 students. The study followed several procedures, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The success indicator of this research was the improvement in students' learning outcomes based on their reading ability. The research instruments used were observation sheets and learning outcome tests. The results of the study indicated that the scramble media could enhance early reading ability and improve students' learning outcomes. The improvement in learning outcomes was measured based on the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II results. The test results showed a 22% increase in learning outcomes between the pre-cycle test and the evaluation in cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the scramble media can enhance the early reading ability of grade 1 students in elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of learning motivation and students’ learning readiness on the learning outcomes of the Entrepreneurship subject by incorporating case-method–based learning as an intervening variable among tenth-grade students at SMKS Syekh Muhammad Ja’far. The phenomenon observed in the school shows variations in students’ learning outcomes, which are presumed to be influenced by low learning motivation and insufficient learning readiness in facing the learning process. The case method approach is expected to enhance students’ understanding through the analysis of real-life cases, collaborative discussions, and the development of critical thinking skills in solving problems. This research employs a quantitative method with an ex post facto design and a causal associative approach. The instrument used was a Likert-scale questionnaire administered to tenth-grade students, and the data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, classical assumption tests, and path analysis. The results indicate that both learning motivation and learning readiness have a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes. In addition, these variables also significantly influence case-method–based learning, which in turn positively impacts learning outcomes. Path analysis shows that the case method serves as an effective mediator in strengthening the relationship between learning motivation and learning readiness with students’ learning outcomes. Overall, case-method–based learning plays a crucial role in optimizing learning activities and improving the quality of student learning outcomes in the Entrepreneurship subject. These findings provide practical implications for teachers in designing more innovative and student-centered learning strategies. Abstract

ABSTRACT Learning of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in elementary schools plays a crucial role in shaping students’ character and spirituality. However, the implementation of PAI learning still faces various challenges, such as the low effectiveness of learning processes, limited teacher competence, and the suboptimal application of quality assurance systems at the elementary school level. This article aims to analyze strategies for improving the quality of PAI learning through a continuous quality assurance approach. This study employs a literature review method by examining various scholarly sources, including books, journals, and educational policies related to improving the quality of religious learning. The findings indicate that the quality of PAI learning can be enhanced through the application of a continuous quality assurance cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act). The main strategies include contextual lesson planning, innovative implementation based on Islamic values, continuous evaluation, and follow-up actions to strengthen teacher professionalism. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the success of improving PAI learning quality depends on the synergy between managerial, pedagogical, and spiritual aspects in the implementation of a sustainable quality assurance system. The implications highlight the need to strengthen the roles of teachers and educational institutions in consistently applying a culture of quality so that PAI in elementary schools can produce a generation that is virtuous, faithful, and adaptive to contemporary developments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika peserta didik melalui integrasi konten budaya lokal dan pemanfaatan teknologi di SDN 008 Samarinda Kota. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi budaya lokal Kalimantan Timur, seperti motif batik Dayak dan konteks kehidupan masyarakat setempat, dapat memberikan kedekatan emosional siswa terhadap materi matematika. Selain itu, pemanfaatan media digital seperti video pembelajaran, aplikasi interaktif, dan presentasi visual menjadikan proses pembelajaran lebih menarik dan menyenangkan. Pendekatan ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan antusiasme, partisipasi aktif, serta pemahaman konsep matematika secara lebih mendalam. Motivasi belajar siswa meningkat karena materi terasa lebih relevan dan mudah diakses. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan strategi pembelajaran berbasis budaya dan teknologi secara berkelanjutan, sebagai upaya inovatif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan matematika di sekolah dasar dan membentuk karakter siswa yang kritis, inovatif, kreatif, serta bangga terhadap budaya lokal.

Abstract

Islamic education plays a crucial role in shaping the character and morality of adolescents in this challenging era of globalization. The rapid advancement of technology and information has greatly influenced the lifestyle, behavior, and value system of the younger generation. The phenomenon of moral degradation and the declining interest in religious activities have become major concerns for Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. This study aims to describe the efforts made by schools to instill Islamic values among adolescents at SMP Negeri 25 Surabaya through activities such as Qur’anic reading and writing (BTQ), congregational Dhuha prayer, and Friday prayer at school. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that these three activities serve as effective media for instilling Islamic values, shaping religious character, and increasing students’ spiritual awareness. The BTQ activity fosters Qur’anic literacy and discipline; the congregational Dhuha prayer promotes togetherness, sincerity, and responsibility; while the Friday prayer at school instills social responsibility, brotherhood, and leadership values among students. Supporting factors include the commitment of Islamic Education teachers, principal support, and student enthusiasm, while inhibiting factors stem from social media influence, limited time, and lack of parental supervision at home. The conclusion of this research is that instilling Islamic values through worship habituation in public schools can be an effective strategy to build the religious character of adolescents when implemented consistently and continuously with supportive environmental conditions.

Abstract

The problems in this research are (1) how is the validity of the PBL learning tools developed to improve critical thinking of addition and subtraction of integers for students of class VI at SDN Kambangan 01? how practical is the PBL learning tool developed to improve critical thinking of addition and subtraction of integers for class VI students at SDN Kambangan 01? how effective is the PBL learning tool to improve critical thinking of addition and subtraction of integers for class VI students at SDN Kambangan 01?. The aims of this study were (1) to develop and produce valid PBL learning tools to improve critical thinking in addition and subtraction of integers for sixth grade students at SDN Kambangan 01, (2) to develop and produce practical PBL learning tools to improve addition and critical thinking reduction of integers for class VI students at SDN Kambangan 01, (3) Develop and produce effective PBL learning tools to improve critical thinking by adding and subtracting integers for class VI students at SDN Kambangan 01. The subjects in this study were 34 students in class VI at SDN Kambangan 01 and SDN Kambangan 02. Data collection methods used are questionnaires, documentation and tests to students at the beginning and end of learning. Data analysis used was descriptive analysis, pre-requisite test, and hypothesis testing. From the results of the study it can be seen that PBL-based Mathematics learning tools in the form of lesson plans, textbooks, worksheets, learning media, and learning outcomes assessment instruments on aspects of learning objectives achieve very high criteria. valid, aspects of learning materials achieve very valid criteria, aspects of learning strategies are said to be valid, aspects of selecting learning media achieve valid criteria, selection of materials and learning resources achieve very valid criteria, and learning evaluation achieves very valid criteria. PBL-based Mathematics learning tools were declared practical because two indicators were achieved, namely the teacher's response was in the positive category with an achievement of 82.5% and student responses were in a very positive category with an achievement of 86.61%. The PBL-based mathematics learning tool was declared effective because three indicators were achieved, namely student learning outcomes achieving 90% completeness in the very good category with an average student score of 84.24 in the good category, students' critical thinking skills in the pre-test of 79.97% in the good category and at the post test it increased to 86.125% in the very good category, and the teacher's ability to manage learning in the very good category, namely 88.75%.
