Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of innovation in the selection of learning models in science subjects, which are still dominated by lecture methods, resulting in low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 02 Lembah Melintang, Pasaman Barat. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) assisted by Wordwall media on science learning outcomes in the human respiratory system topic. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The population consisted of all fifth-grade students, with class VA as the control group using conventional learning and class VB as the experimental group using the TGT model assisted by Wordwall. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test consisting of 20 items, while data were analyzed using an Independent Sample t-Test with SPSS 27. The results indicated that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The t-test analysis obtained a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), which means that there was a significant difference between the science learning outcomes of the experimental and control groups. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the TGT model assisted by Wordwall has a positive effect on improving the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of experiment-based science learning in fostering scientific attitudes—accuracy, honesty, and discipline—among elementary school students. The problem addressed is the limited implementation of experimental learning in primary schools, where science instruction tends to be teacher-centered and focused mainly on concepts. The purpose of this research is to investigate how students’ scientific attitudes develop through direct participation in experimental activities. A descriptive qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted with thirty-two fifth-grade students across two learning cycles that included planning, conducting, observing, analyzing, and reflecting on simple science experiments. Data were collected through observations, attitude rating scales, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using an interactive qualitative analysis model. The findings reveal notable improvements in all indicators of scientific attitude, with N-Gain scores of 0.35 for accuracy, 0.34 for honesty, and 0.34 for discipline, all categorized as moderate effectiveness. Students showed increased precision in data recording, greater honesty in reporting results, and enhanced discipline in following scientific procedures. The study concludes that experiment-based science learning is effective in strengthening both scientific understanding and scientific character, making it highly relevant for primary science education.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Junior High Schools (SMP) plays a crucial role in shaping students' faith, morals, and character. However, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) presents various challenges regarding teachers, students, government support, time allocation, and facilities, necessitating teachers to be creative and adapt teaching methods to student characteristics. This study aims to examine the relevance of Tyler's curriculum model in PAI learning within the context of the Independent Curriculum. This research utilizes a qualitative approach through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The findings indicate that Tyler's four component objectives, learning experiences, organization, and evaluation remain highly relevant as a rational framework for designing contextual and meaningful PAI learning. Furthermore, identified solutions to the challenges include creative strategies, project-based learning, collaboration with parents, technology utilization, and religious activities. Consequently, by employing this approach, PAI can effectively shape students who are intelligent, religious, and possess noble character.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is a crucial instructional method for meeting the diverse characteristics of every student. This study aims to examine the opportunities and constraints in implementing differentiated instruction for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Sesetan. Participants included the fifth-grade homeroom teacher, Mrs. Yansi Rahayuni Listiari, S.Si., S.Pd., and 28 fifth-grade students. The research utilized a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques consisting of in-depth interviews, classroom observation of the learning process, and analysis of supporting documents. The data analysis process involved the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the educator continuously implements differentiation in terms of media and teaching methods through the use of videos, visual illustrations, concrete manipulatives, group discussions, peer tutoring, and individual assistance. The practice of content, process, and product differentiation was evident in certain subjects but was not yet fully implemented in the observed Mathematics instruction. Challenges faced by the teacher included time constraints, the demand for creativity, and the lack of an adaptive assessment rubric. This research confirms that the implementation of differentiated learning at SD Negeri 2 Sesetan has positive potential but requires strengthening in the aspects of planning, assessment, and professional support to become more optimal and sustainable.

Abstract

Administrasi pendidikan yang efektif merupakan pilar utama dalam membangun mutu pembelajaran yang berkelanjutan di sekolah. Namun, penerapannya sering kali belum terintegrasi secara optimal dengan dasar perencanaan yang sistematis, sehingga kualitas proses belajar mengajar belum mencapai hasil yang diharapkan. Di banyak satuan pendidikan, masih terdapat kesenjangan dalam pemahaman mengenai bagaimana fungsi administrasi dan perencanaan dapat berkontribusi langsung terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi empat fungsi administrasi—perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi—dengan prinsip perencanaan strategis mampu memberikan arah yang lebih terstruktur dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa penerapan administrasi berbasis perencanaan yang matang berdampak pada peningkatan efektivitas proses pembelajaran, optimalisasi kinerja pendidik, serta penguatan budaya evaluasi di sekolah. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan kapasitas administrasi pendidikan melalui inovasi teknologi, pelatihan sumber daya manusia, dan kolaborasi seluruh warga sekolah sebagai upaya memperkuat mutu pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This research is based on the lack of student self-efficacy in mathematics lessons. Students find mathematics learning difficult so they lack confidence in solving mathematical problems. One solution to this problem is the implementation of the Project Based Learning model. This learning model helps students develop thinking skills, collaborate, and practice to solve problems that will ultimately improve student self-efficacy. This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model on student self-efficacy in mathematics lessons in grade IV of SD Inpres Pabangiang. This research is an experimental study with a pre-experimental one group design. The sample in this study was 24 students. Data collection techniques used the results of distributing questionnaires, observation sheets, and test sheets. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential analysis techniques. The results in this study indicate a significant effect on the application of the Project Based Learning model on student self-efficacy. This can be seen from the average results of the initial and final self-efficacy questionnaires. The average initial self-efficacy score for students was 77, which is considered low, and the average final self-efficacy score for students was 91, which is considered very high. Furthermore, the normality test results showed that all data were normally distributed, with all significance values ​​> 0.05, and the t-test results also showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it was concluded that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, indicating a significant effect of the implementation of the Project-Based Learning model on students' self-efficacy in mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation and analyze the effectiveness of Discovery Learning integrated with Shared Reading in improving early reading skills of first-grade students at SDN 02 Nongkosawit Semarang. A mixed-method approach with an explanatory sequential design was used involving 20 students. Data were collected through observations, reading tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The findings reveal improved reading performance, with the average score increasing from 62 to 82 and 90% of students achieving mastery (≥70). Students also showed higher participation, confidence, and better understanding of simple texts. Therefore, the Discovery Learning-based Shared Reading model is proven effective for strengthening early literacy in lower-grade elementary students.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to improve the science learning outcomes of third-grade students through the implementation of the 7E Learning Cycle model. The study was conducted at SDN Cipete Selatan 03 with a total of 31 third-grade students in the 2025/2026 academic year as research subjects. The classroom action research model employed in this study refers to the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral design. The results showed that students’ science learning outcomes in Cycle I reached 65%, and increased in Cycle II to 87%, thereby meeting the predetermined success criteria. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the application of the 7E Learning Cycle model effectively improves the science learning outcomes of third-grade students. Therefore, the 7E Learning Cycle model is recommended as an alternative instructional approach that teachers can use to enhance students’ learning outcomes in science.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of leadership in educational administration structures by emphasizing three main aspects: management functions, institutional coordination, and strategic decision-making. This study offers a contextual and empirical analysis of how school or educational institution leaders carry out their goals in directing, synergizing, and determining operational policies that impact each institution. This study presents an in-depth analysis through a qualitative descriptive approach in educational units, focusing on the interaction between leaders and work units in carrying out administrative tasks. The research findings indicate that leadership plays a strategic role in program planning, facilitating interdisciplinary coordination, and providing data- and regulatory-based decision-making. Effective leadership practices have been shown to improve work synchronization, policy accountability, operational efficiency, and a collaborative culture within educational organizations. These findings imply the need to strengthen managerial leadership capacity and develop participatory governance models within educational institutions to support sustainable quality improvement.

Abstract

Language is the result of complex cognitive processes processed by the brain, particularly in the left hemisphere through Broca's and Wernicke's areas, and other supporting areas. Coordination between brain regions determines language ability, while neurological disorders demonstrate the close relationship between language and brain function. This study employed a literature review method, reviewing various reliable scientific sources related to psycholinguistics and the relationship between language and brain function. Data were collected, critically analyzed, and systematically compiled to formulate concepts and theories that support the research focus. Language is a human cognitive ability that is highly dependent on brain function, particularly the cerebral cortex and the left hemisphere. Language processing involves Broca's and Wernicke's areas and the coordination of various brain regions. Language reflects thought, enabling communication, learning, and identity formation, with differences in brain function influencing variations in language ability. Language is a complex communication system regulated by the brain, particularly the left hemisphere's cerebral cortex through Broca's and Wernicke's areas, and the motor area. Although dominant in the left hemisphere, language processing requires cooperation between both hemispheres. Differences and disorders in brain development affect language ability and social cognition.
