Abstract

This study aims to develop an educational medium in the form of a digital pocketbook for tourism introduction for youth in Sejaro Sakti Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, which is assessed from the aspects of validity and practicality. The type of research is development using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), but only covers four stages up to implementation. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and interviews. The development results show material expert validation of 100% (very valid), media expert 75% (valid), and language expert 92% (very valid). One-to-one trials reached 90% (very practical), while small group trials reached 98% (very practical). Thus, the product is categorized as valid and very practical for use by youth in Sejaro Sakti Village as an educational medium for introducing Teluk Seruo Lake tourism.

Abstract

The use of concrete media in science education is one of the efforts to help students understand concepts through direct experience. The use of concrete media in learning has been carried out optimally and has played a role in increasing students' interest in learning, as seen from the increased attention, involvement, and interest of students during the learning process. This study aims to: 1) describe the process of using concrete media in science learning; and 2) analyze the impact of using concrete media on increasing the interest of fifth-grade students at Jarakan Public Elementary School in learning. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation of teachers and fifth-grade students at Jarakan State Elementary School. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that: 1) the use of concrete media was carried out in a planned manner and was adapted to the learning material. Concrete media helped students understand concepts more clearly through direct observation. Teachers also adjusted their strategies to overcome the limitations of media and learning time; and 2) the use of concrete media had a positive impact on students' interest in learning, as shown by increased attention, activity, and interest among students in participating in learning. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) model in improving the learning outcomes of elementary school students. The research method employed is Library Research, gathering data from various scientific journals related to the research theme. The findings indicate that the IBL model is effective in enhancing elementary students' learning outcomes by fostering critical, analytical, and logical thinking skills. Furthermore, the IBL model increases student motivation and participation in the learning process. This study suggests that the IBL model be utilized as an effective alternative learning approach to improve student achievement. Additionally, this research aims to describe the effectiveness of inquiry learning strategies in enhancing the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The research method used is a literature study, involving the collection, review, and analysis of relevant scientific journals. Inquiry learning strategies emphasize the process of searching, investigating, and discovering answers through critical and analytical thinking activities. Based on the analysis of several studies, the inquiry strategy is proven to enhance students' critical thinking skills through stages such as formulating problems, conducting experiments, analyzing data, and drawing conclusions. Inquiry-based learning encourages students to think creatively and actively, providing them with meaningful learning experiences. Consequently, the implementation of inquiry learning strategies is effective in improving both the critical thinking skills and the learning outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in improving the quality of human resources; therefore, teachers are required to manage the learning process effectively and creatively. One effort that can be carried out is through the use of instructional media in classroom activities. The appropriate use of instructional media can help teachers deliver learning materials more clearly and improve students’ interest and understanding. However, in practice, the use of instructional media in schools still faces several challenges, particularly related to limited facilities, teachers’ competencies, and supporting infrastructure. This study aims to analyze the implementation of instructional media use, the obstacles faced by teachers, and the potential for developing instructional media at MI Tahfidz Darul Mubin Prabumulih. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by source and method triangulation. The results show that the use of instructional media at MI Tahfidz Darul Mubin Prabumulih has been implemented in the learning process but has not been carried out optimally. This is due to limited learning facilities and infrastructure, limited teacher competence in utilizing technology-based media, and limited time and budget of the madrasah. Nevertheless, there are potentials that can be developed, such as teachers’ creativity in utilizing simple learning media, teachers’ ability in planning learning activities, and support from the madrasah in improving the quality of learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a STEM-based “Petualang Membaca” learning media for beginning reading materials for first-grade students at SDN Oebobo 2 Kupang City. The study was motivated by the low reading ability of students, which is indicated by difficulties in recognizing letters, forming syllables, and the low interest in reading due to the use of conventional learning media. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects involved 25 first-grade students. Data collection instruments included pretest and posttest to measure improvements in beginning reading skills, validation questionnaires for material, media, and language experts, and practicality questionnaires for teachers and students. Data analysis techniques included validation, practicality, and effectiveness analysis. The effectiveness of the media was analyzed using the Paired Sample t-Test and normalized gain (N-Gain) test. The results showed that the STEM-based “Petualang Membaca” media obtained very good validation results with scores of 84% from material experts, 91% from language experts, and 94% from media experts. The media was also considered very practical based on positive responses from teachers (89%) and students (90%). In addition, students’ learning outcomes increased, with the average pretest score of 67.2 rising to 87.6 in the posttest. The Paired Sample t-Test showed a significant difference (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05), while the N-Gain test indicated that 68% of students experienced moderate improvement and 32% experienced high improvement. Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of the Qur’an memorization (tahfidz) program as a means of fostering students’ religious character and increasing their love for the Qur’an from an early age. SDT Al-Muhibbiin Betung Banyuasin is one of the elementary schools that implements the Qur’an memorization program as a flagship program in learning activities. However, several obstacles are still found in its implementation, such as decreasing student motivation in memorizing, difficulties in memorizing certain verses, and limited variations in learning methods. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the implementation of the Qur’an memorization program at SDT Al-Muhibbiin Betung Banyuasin, including its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, tahfidz teachers, and students participating in the tahfidz program. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of the tahfidz program at SDT Al-Muhibbiin Betung has several strengths, including competent tahfidz teachers, clear memorization targets at each grade level, and support from the school. However, there are also obstacles such as unstable student motivation, limited learning time, and the influence of external factors. Nevertheless, the tahfidz program still has opportunities to be further developed through improved learning strategies, strengthened program management, and support from all parties in the school.

Abstract

Effective learning requires teachers’ ability to manage the learning process in a planned and systematic manner so that students can actively participate in the learning process. This study aims to describe classroom teachers’ strategies in managing learning to improve the activeness of fourth-grade students at SDN 158 Palembang and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research was conducted at SDN 158 Palembang with the subjects consisting of fourth-grade teachers and students. Informants were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation using observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation sheets as research instruments. Data validity was tested using source triangulation and method triangulation, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that classroom teachers’ strategies in managing learning to improve students’ activeness were carried out through interconnected stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. In practice, teachers applied an inquiry-based learning strategy that actively involved students through observing, asking questions, participating in discussions, working in groups, and utilizing learning media. Supporting factors included teacher readiness, the use of varied learning media, discussion and group activities, and school support. In contrast, inhibiting factors included differences in students’ learning abilities, varying levels of self-confidence, and limited learning time.

Abstract

Tarjuman al-Mustafid by Abdurauf as-Singkili is widely regarded as an early landmark of Malay Qur’anic exegesis, mediating classical Arabic tafsir heritage for Muslim readers in the Malay Indonesian world. Yet its “distinctiveness” is often stated in broad terms without clear textual indicators. Objective: this study aims to identify and explain the distinctive features of Tarjuman al-Mustafid in language, method, exegetical orientation, and its strategy of transmitting earlier authorities. Method a qualitative library based study employing content analysis on selected textual units (renderings of meaning, brief clarifications, legal hints, and moral ethical emphases), complemented by a historical intellectual reading of the Aceh Malay context. Results the tafsir shows a communicative Malay religious register, a preference for concise exposition that foregrounds the verse’s overall sense, selective notes oriented to piety and practice, and a compact adaptation of widely used classical tafsir sources without extended technical debate. Conclusion: Tarjuman al-Mustafid is distinctive for its pedagogical bridging function, helping to institutionalize a Malay tafsir tradition and shaping later developments of Nusantara exegesis.

Abstract

This research focuses on crew skills in the use of fire extinguishers to improve safety at KMP Salvino, the purpose of this study is to analyze crew skills in the use of fire extinguishers, identify influencing factors, and make the necessary efforts to improve the ability and preparedness of the crew. This research is also useful for evaluating ship safety training and improving crew capabilities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with informants selected through purposive sampling, namely Mualim III, Sailor I, and Sailor II. Data was obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation using interview sheet and observation sheet instruments. Data analysis is carried out through the process of data reduction, fishbone diagrams, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that crew skills in the use of fire extinguishers are in the category of being quite good, but still need to be improved through more structured training, equitable practice, and strengthening understanding of fire types.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of institutional ownership, debt to equity ratio, total asset growth, and return on asset on firm value proxied by Tobin's Q in property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2022-2024. The research method used is a quantitative method with secondary data from companies' annual financial reports. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS version 27 program. The results show that partially, Good Corporate Governance proxied by institutional ownership has a negative and insignificant effect on firm value. Funding decisions proxied by debt to equityratio have a positive and significant effect on firm value. Investment decisions proxied by total asset growth have a negative and insignificant effect on firm value, and profitability proxied by return on asset has a negative and insignificant effect on firm value. Simultaneously, Good Corporate Governance, funding decisions, investment decisions, and profitability have a significant effect on firm value measured by Tobin's Q.
