Abstract

Follow-up of learning assessment results is an action that needs to be taken in education units, including higher education. Follow-up will correct any weaknesses and learning deficiencies. This study aims to determine the implementation of the outcome based education (OBE) curriculum in higher education and the follow-up of learning assessment results in higher education. This research is a qualitative research type of literature study. So that it will review some literature derived from journal articles, books, and various regulations in connection with the focus of research, then analyzed with content analysis techniques. The results of the study show that the implementation of the OBE curriculum in higher education leads to graduate learning outcomes, carried out through the OBC stage or curriculum development by CPL, OBLT or learning implementation according to CPL, as well as OBAE or learning evaluation and assessment for CPL. Follow-up of learning assessment results is carried out based on the type of assessment. If formative assessment or assessment at the beginning and during the learning process or before the end of the semester, then the follow-up provided is problem-based learning by identifying and solving problems, complete learning by carrying out unit learning, and enrichment programs by providing further material reading. As for summative assessment or assessment at the end of the semester, the follow-up provided is a remedial program with reteaching, as well as an alternative program, namely an accelerated program with semester jumps and an independent campus by participating in internships, teaching campuses, and student exchanges.

Abstract

Indonesia has an unemployment rate above the world average in the last five years (2017-2021). In Southeast Asia, Indonesia has the second highest unemployment rate after Brunei Darussalam. This needs to be given attention according to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) point 1 "No Poverty" and point 8 "Decent Work and Economic Growth". The Ministry of Education and Research and Technology as an Indonesian state institution engaged in education inaugurated an internship program at Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) as a solution for connecting students with industry. The study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the MBKM Internship throughout Indonesia, especially batches 1 and 2 and to analyze the differences in the effectiveness of the two batches. The method used is quantitative by analyzing the effectiveness with the context-input-process-product (CIPP) model and analyzing the differences with the Mann-Whitney different test and interpreting the results with the descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the implementation of the program was considered effective in terms of participants' perceptions. Improvements are needed in increasing the leadership agenda, increasing debriefing from field supervisors regarding future reflection, socializing and conveying good ideas, strengthening intrinsic motivation, ensuring ease of communication between stakeholders and participants, ensuring evaluation by mentors, facilitating weight equalization study and improve timeliness in disbursing pocket money. The effectiveness of batch 1 and batch 2 is not much different.

Abstract

This study argues that during the Covid-19 pandemic, educational institutions began using online learning communication strategies by utilizing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) media. This communication strategy is used so that educational institutions can continue to provide learning rights to students while at the same time keeping students safe from the risk of being exposed to the Covid-19 pandemic. The formulation of the problem related to the research being conducted is how to use learning communication strategies by utilizing ICT media during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as using the most media in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to find out how the learning communication strategy is by utilizing ICT media during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as knowing the majority of ICT media used. The research uses qualitative methods with a library approach that focuses on the concepts of communication strategy, learning communication, and ICT. This study found the results that: Every educational institution has implemented an online learning communication strategy by utilizing ICT media. The most frequently used ICT media are google meet, zoom, WhatsApp Group, google drive, line, and PowerPoint. Where these media are used in teaching and learning activities, attendance, and group discussions, up to the assignment, the frequency of using ICT media is carried out every day during teaching and learning activities. However, in implementing online learning communication strategies, there are still some obstacles experienced by severe students, such as networks, devices, and student control. However, on the other hand, it is able to facilitate students to receive good learning during the pandemic.

Abstract

Learning requires supporting materials in the form of reliable teaching materials, one of which can be a learning module. Therefore, it is necessary to add project-based learning modules in diesel motor courses to develop existing modules. This study aimed to measure the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of developing project-based diesel motor course learning modules. This research is included in the type of research and development (R&D). The model used in this study uses the ADDIE principle, data collection methods through questionnaires and learning outcomes tests, data analysis is processed using a quantitative approach from the application of the module and described through a qualitative approach to conclude the results of the study, the research subject consists of lecturers and students majoring in automotive engineering. The results of the research on the development of PjBl-based modules meet the feasibility of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. In its implementation, the results of the analysis of the validity aspect of the module development from the validator are 88.07% with very valid criteria, and the practicality aspect of the module development scores 86.92% with very practical criteria. The effectiveness aspect of module development is seen from the knowledge and project tests. The results of the knowledge test on 30 students and get a good average score value, amounting to 85.66%, and the field of skills or projects of 85.66%, thus achieving very high criteria.

Abstract

The challenges of the 21st century and the start of the 4.0 era change the face of education to be more competitive, demanding educators to be more innovative and creative in designing learning. In facing these conditions, it is necessary to equip students with critical thinking skills emphasizing the use of technology in learning. The purpose of this research is to develop learning media for moral akidah based on Google Sites in fostering critical thinking skills of seventh-grade MTs students on the material of riya’ and nifaq. This type of research is the Research and Development model Borg and Gall with data collection techniques of interviews, observations, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis technique for qualitative data is the Milles and Huberman model, while the independent samples t-test and N-Gain calculation are used on quantitative data. The development results are very good and representative of fostering students’ critical thinking skills. This is evidenced by the assessment of material experts with a percentage of 91.2%, the assessment of media experts shows a percentage of 98.4%, and the assessment of moral creed subject teachers with a percentage of 100%. The effectiveness of google sites learning media can be observed from the results of the independent samples t-test test with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 with a comparison of the t_hit value of 4.869> 1.671 t_tab which means H_0 is rejected, and H_1 is accepted. The increase in students’ critical thinking skills can be seen in the calculation of N-Gain = 0.4178 with a “moderate” improvement category.

Abstract

Rapid development in the 21st century affects various fields of human life and has positive and negative impacts. One of the negative impacts is the problem of children's character. Research on character education in the 21st century through PAI learning is very important to overcome this problem. Previous studies have discussed character building through PAI in the 21st century, but this study focuses more on the discussion of the details of the PAI learning process that takes place. This research uses a qualitative research method with a text study research type whose data collection is by collecting various texts of information from articles, proceedings, and other relevant literature. This study aims to describe the efforts to implement character education in PAI learning with various skills discussed by the 21st century and the results of the analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The results of this study are: 1) Character education efforts through PAI learning apply 21st-century skills in the form of literacy and problem-based learning. 2) The strength is PAI as a subject with the main mission of shaping the character of students; the weakness is that PAI is a subject that is often considered a formal subject only, the opportunity is PAI as a compulsory subject at every level of education, and the threat is the ease of information in the 21st century making the presence of radicalism. Character education efforts through PAI learning with literacy and problem-based learning in the 21st century can be a reference for educators and researchers, but in its implementation, there are strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Abstract

Early childhood outdoor play environments should be designed as creatively as possible to be accessible to all children with diverse individual characteristics. Many models of children’s outdoor play environments designed in schools do not seem to fully consider the diverse characteristics of children, including special needs, cultural diversity, and differences in children’s physical and cognitive abilities, so children cannot make the most of the play environment. This research aims to reveal the creative design of outdoor play environments that early childhood can access and utilize. The author uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature study research type. Documentation was conducted to collect data by collecting records from books or articles that correlate with the research topic. The data analysis process is carried out by taking several stages, namely, (1) describing the characteristics of early childhood, (2) describing the nature of the outdoor play environment, (3) analyzing the relevance of the nature of the outdoor play environment to the characteristics of early childhood, and (4) synthesizing the criteria for the creative design of early childhood outdoor play environments. The results revealed that the creative design of early childhood outdoor play environments has several criteria, namely (1) focusing on meeting children’s needs, (2) flexibility of play equipment, (3) paying attention to children’s safety, and (4) providing a feeling of pleasure for children. Every school should own these four criteria to encourage collaboration, creativity, and cognitive stimulation of children in the utilization of the play environment.

Abstract

Education for learners with special needs, especially autism, is necessary for the survival of society. Therefore, this research has several objectives, among others, to find out: 1) Learning planning for students with autism; 2) Implementation of learning for students with autism; 3) Evaluation of learning for students with autism; 4) Obstacles and solutions for learning students with autism at MI “Muhammadiyah Special Program Kartasura” towards improving their ability to interact socially. The type of descriptive qualitative research applied in this study. Data collection techniques were obtained from direct observation, interviews with informants to provide details about the object under study, and documentation. Data validity used is triangulation, extended observation, and peer checking. The results of this study prove: 1) Learning planning is structured in the Individual Learning Planning (I.L.C.) sheet. 2) The implementation of learning by teachers includes learning approaches, learning strategies, learning methods, various learning media, and cooperation with the teachers concerned in implementing learning. 3) Learning evaluation for autistic students is divided into learning outcomes and developmental assessments. 4) Obstacles during the learning process are controlling emotions, focusing on autistic students, and sensory integration problems of autistic students. Solutions solved by teachers from the obstacles listed are controlling the emotions of autistic students, restoring the focus of autistic students, and improving the sensory integration barriers of autistic students with therapy.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low work readiness achieved by students who graduated from SMK. The purpose of this study was to determine the work readiness of students of SMKN 1 Batipuh Tanah Datar Regency in terms of the role of guidance in providing career guidance at school. This type of research with a descriptive correlational approach aims to describe and interpret data about the influence of the role of guidance teachers on students' work readiness in the career guidance process at SMKN 1 Batipuh. The research subjects were class XI students of all fields of expertise registered in semester 1 of the 2022/2023 school year at SMKN 1 Batipuh, totalling 52 students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics with percentage calculations and simple regression. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive influence between the role of career guidance teachers on the work readiness of students of SMKN 1 Batipuh. The results shown by the value of rxy = 0.568 compared to the interpretation table r, the level of relationship is moderate. Significance obtained titung = 4.816. The test criteria used are tcount> ttable then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted based on the t-distribution table for degrees of freedom (dk = n-2) 33, obtained ttable = (α = 0.05) = 1.697. Thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so the hypothesis states "There is a positive influence between the role of career guidance and counselling on the work readiness of Class XI students of all study programs at SMKN 1 Batipuh in the 2022/2023 academic year". The role of career guidance and counselling has an influence of 32.26% on the work readiness of students of SMKN 1 Batipuh and 67.74% of students' work readiness is influenced by other factors such as motivation, skills and others that exist in the student's social life environment.

Abstract

Education is an important aspect of human existence as it promotes human enhancement in the emotive, cognitive, and psychomotor domains. The implementation of an educational wisdom model can be in the form of ideas, outlines, diagrams, or numerical states that are used to clarify, clarify, and present parts of a real instructional problem. Therefore, this study aims to conduct a mini-research to share suggestions about educational wisdom. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The research location was in all primary schools in Buleleng Regency. The object of the research was primary schools in Buleleng district. The research subjects were students and teachers in Buleleng district. The results of the study showed a low student-teacher ratio, namely Banjar sub-district 16.59, Buleleng sub-district 17.71, and Busungbiu sub-district 14.74 with this low ratio interpreted as the three sub-districts having an excess of primary school teachers. Ideas for intelligence that can be provided include the ideal ratio of students to teachers must be met, as well as school facilities, complete and appropriate learning facilities, teacher availability and competence, principal availability and competence, service personnel availability and competence, labour availability and competence, librarian availability and competence, and the ideal ratio of students to teachers. It is recommended to education policy managers to match the actual needs in primary schools that refer to the 8 education standards.
