Abstract

In the era of globalization, businesses and organizations are facing increasingly intense competition, requiring them to possess superior capabilities to survive and thrive. One of the key strategies for enhancing competitiveness is the development of skilled and qualified human resources. This study investigates the effects of the work environment and Islamic work ethics on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among employees. The research focuses on 61 employees, with a saturated sampling technique, and employs a combination of observation, documentation, and questionnaires for data collection. To analyze the data, multiple regression analysis was used. The findings indicate that both the work environment and Islamic work ethics significantly influence the OCB of employees. The study highlights the importance of creating a supportive work environment and integrating ethical values to foster positive organizational behavior and improve overall performance. These results contribute in proving that work environment and Islamic work are critical for organizations aiming to increase their competitiveness and employee engagement in a rapidly changing business environment.

Abstract

The use of digital wallets has become increasingly prevalent in various parts of the world, including Indonesia. People’s decisions to adopt digital wallet technology are influenced by several factors. This research aims to investigate the impact of performance expectations, effort expectations, and social influence on the behavioral intention to use digital wallets in Depok City. The method used is a descriptive associative method with a quantitative approach was employed in this study, and purposive sampling was used to select 120 respondents. The results of the study reveal that effort expectation and social influence have a significant positive effect on the behavioral intention to use digital wallets. Effort expectation refers to how easy and user-friendly the technology is perceived to be, while social influence pertains to the degree to which people are influenced by their social circles to adopt the technology. However, the study found that performance expectation, which relates to the perceived usefulness and advantages of digital wallets, did not have a significant impact on behavioral intention. This research contributes to the existing literature on technology adoption by highlighting the importance of user experience factors, such as effort expectation and social influence, in shaping consumers' behavioral intentions to use digital wallets. For practitioners, the findings suggest that efforts to increase the adoption of digital wallets should focus not only on enhancing the perceived usefulness of the technology but also on improving ease of use and leveraging social influence.

Abstract

Government bureaucracy often faces criticism from the public, particularly regarding inefficiency and low work discipline among employees. A frequent complaint is the unproductive use of time, which is often attributed to weak leadership and the failure to enforce applicable regulations. Many believe that the lack of firm decision-making from leaders contributes to poor discipline within government offices. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the reward and punishment system on improving employee work discipline. The method employed was a quantitative method with causal approach. Data was collected through a census, including responses from 34 staff members at the Cakranegara and Sandubaya District Offices. The findings indicate that the reward system had a significant positive impact on employee work discipline. In contrast, the punishment system did not show a significant effect on improving discipline. These results suggest that government offices could enhance employee performance and discipline by focusing more on a well-structured reward system. The study highlights the importance of recognition and incentives as a driving force for motivating employees, while punitive measures might not have the desired outcome in fostering better discipline. It is hoped that the study's findings will contribute in encouraging leaders in government institutions to implement more effective reward and punishment systems to improve overall work discipline and organizational efficiency.

Abstract

Banking is a business entity that collects funds from the public in the form of deposits and distributes them to the public in the form of loans and other services to improve the lives of many people. This study aims to analyze the influence of various factors such as capital adequacy, credit risk and bank size on the net interest margin of conventional banks in Indonesia. The method used in this study was associative quantitative, and secondary data in this study was obtained from the annual financial statements of several conventional banks in Indonesia during the period 2018-2022. Data analysis was conducted using panel data regression analysis to test the effect between independent variables consisting of capital adequacy ratio (CAR), non-performing loans (NPL), and bank size (Size) on net interest margin (NIM). The data was processed using E-Views 12. The results of this study indicate that only capital adequacy has a positive and insignificant effect on NIM, while NPL and bank size have a negative and significant effect on NIM. The findings of this study imply that in order to enhance NIM, companies can optimize CAR, thereby attaining optimal profits and minimizing investment risk. The results of this study also contribute as a reference and an overview of the factors that influence NIM in conventional commercial banks before investing.

Abstract

The development of technology, particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), has had aprofound impact on various aspects of organizational management, including Human Resource Manage- ment (HRM). This study aims to examine the application of Artificial Intelligence in HR that is oriented towards environmentally friendly principles. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data collection techniques are carried out through in-depth interviews with all parties directly involved in human resource management at Company X, namely one company owner and 13 employees. The study’s results indicate that Company X has effectively implemented AI technology in its human resource management. The application of this technology is not intended to replace the role of humans in HR, but to support and improve work efficiency. The AI software used enables companies to monitor employee activities and productivity more efficiently and in greater detail. The entire pro- cess in human resource management, from recruitment to employee management, is still carried out by involving humans. The use of this technology has also been shown to minimize human error and lighten the conventional workload of the HRD department, making work more time-saving and efficient. The theoretical implications of this study’s findings suggest that integrating AI in HR can strengthen modern management theory, which emphasizes the importance of efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability in organizational management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of technological innovation and work environment on employee performance at Tugu Perfect Farmers Group (KTGA), Division 1 PNDA Djuanda Sawit Lestari, with work discipline as an intervening variable. Technological innovation is expected to enhance efficiency and productivity, while a conducive work environment fosters employee motivation and job satisfaction. This research employs a quantitative approach, utilizing path analysis with SmartPLS 3, to examine the relationships between variables based on data collected from 63 employees through a structured questionnaire. The results indicate that technological innovation has a significant and positive impact on employee performance, both directly and indirectly through improved work discipline. Similarly, the work environment has a positive impact on performance, with work discipline serving as a significant mediator. The novelty of this study lies in its integrated examination of work discipline as a mediating variable in the agricultural and plantation sector. This area has remained underexplored in previous research. The findings underscore the importance of integrating technological advancements with a sup- portive work environment and strong work discipline to enhance performance outcomes. Practically, this study provides actionable insights for human resource management, particularly for plantation-based companies, to develop strategic interventions that focus on employee adaptability, discipline, and moti- vation. It contributes to the literature by emphasizing the role of organizational culture and behavioral factors in enhancing employee performance through digital transformation and workplace improvement.

Abstract

The growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has driven changes in consumer behavior regarding online shopping. Lazada, as one of the main platforms, faces challenges in increasing user intention to adopt its services. This study aims to analyze the influence of four main constructs in the Unified Theory of Ac- ceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT): performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions, on behavioral intention in using Lazada services. The research method uses a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 130 Lazada users in South Tangerang. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SmartPLS. The results show that all UTAUT constructs significantly affect behavioral intention, with performance expectancy and facilitating conditions as the most dominant factors. Effort expectancy has an effect on new users, while social influence is stronger in young age groups who are active on social media. This study provides practical implications for e-commerce platform developers, especially Lazada, to improve performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions to encourage user behavioral intention in adopting services, especially in the South Tangerang area. This finding also extends the literature on UTAUT-based digital technology adoption in the local Indonesian context.

Abstract

Auditors working in Public Accounting Firms (KAP) face the problem of decreasing affective commitment to the organization. Increasing work stress, a high workload, and unresolved work conflicts trigger this decrease. This study aims to analyze the effects of workload and work conflict on work stress and affective commitment, and to investigate the impact of work stress on affective commitment. Addi- tionally, this study examines the role of work stress as a mediating variable in the relationship between workload and work conflict, influencing affective commitment. The type of research used is quantitative research; the population in this study consisted of auditors working in KAP in the Semarang area, to- taling 150 individuals. The sample collection method employed was purposive sampling, where sample selection was based on specific criteria determined by the researcher, resulting in 134 respondents. Data analysis techniques use Path Analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis. The results of the study indicate that work conflict has a positive and significant effect on work stress. Simultaneously, workload and work conflict also have a positive and significant effect on increasing work stress. Work stress has a negative and significant effect on auditors’ affective commitment. Work conflict has also been shown to have a negative and significant effect on affective commitment. Practical implications for the man- agement of Public Accounting Firms, particularly in efforts to maintain and improve auditors’ affective commitment through workload management, constructive conflict resolution, and work stress control in the work environment.

Abstract

Financial management behavior can be implemented to attain a satisfactory standard of living. A person's perspective on saving is influenced by their financial attitude and parental income. Financial knowledge has the potential to influence the relationship between parental income and financial attitude toward financial management behavior. This study aims to examine the influence of parental income and financial attitude on financial management behavior moderated by financial knowledge. The study concentrated on 250 respondents from Generation Z in Mataram City, who were selected through purposive sampling techniques with a data collection method using a questionnaire. The data analysis is conducted using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The findings indicated that parental income and financial attitude had a positive and significant effect on financial management behavior. However, financial knowledge has failed to mitigate the relationship between parental income and financial management behavior. Financial knowledge was unable to moderate the relationship between financial attitude and financial management behavior. Thus, the findings highlighted the significance of parental income and financial attitude in influencing financial management behavior in Generation Z. Therefore, the findings enhance the comprehension that parental income and financial attitude significantly influence an individual's future financial status.
