Abstract

This article aims to summarize the empirical evidence on the effects of mindful play interventions on self-regulation, executive function, social competence, and conflict resolution in children aged 4–6 years, and to assess their relevance to the development of Early Childhood Guidance and Counseling (BK PAUD) services. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, 36 articles from Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar were analyzed through thematic synthesis. The results showed that mindful play consistently improved emotion management skills, impulse control, cognitive flexibility, empathy, and conflict resolution strategies. Teacher and parent support play a significant role in strengthening the effectiveness of interventions. These findings provide a conceptual and empirical basis for developing Mindful Play Counseling as an evidence-based BK PAUD service model. Theoretical, practical, and policy implications are discussed to strengthen the implementation of mindful play in early childhood education. Keywords: conflict resolution, early childhood education, executive functions, mindful play, self-regulation

Abstract

Resilience is an essential capability that needs to be developed in students to cope with academic and social pressures. Prosocial behavior is considered a factor that can potentially enhance students’ resilience through positive interpersonal interactions. This study aimed to analyze the effect of prosocial behavior on students’ resilience within the context of the Pata Dela culture. A quantitative approach with a survey design was employed. The study involved 119 students, selected using purposive sampling. The sample was limited to students from the Pata Dela cultural background, so the findings may not be widely generalizable. The instruments used included the Prosocial Behavior Scale (Caprara et al., 2005) and the Resilience Scale (Connor & Davidson, 2003). Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicated that prosocial behavior had a positive and significant effect on student resilience (B = 0.856; t = 7.887; p < 0.001), with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.347. This suggests that prosocial behavior accounted for 34.7% of students’ resilience, while the remaining 65.3% was influenced by other factors beyond this study. The findings highlight that the values of the Pata Dela culture serve as a social context that strengthens the relationship between prosocial behavior and resilience. This study contributes to understanding how integrating local cultural contexts, such as Pata Dela, can inform the relationship between prosocial behavior and student resilience, a relationship that has been rarely explored. Keywords: prosocial behavior, resilience, students, pata dela culture

Abstract

Teacher well-being is a critical issue in contemporary education, particularly in resource-limited schools that demand high levels of emotional regulation. Although reflective practice and emotion regulation have been widely studied, research on Islamic values-based psycho-spiritual microinterventions remains limited, especially qualitative studies that explore teachers’ lived experiences within the context of inclusive education in Indonesia. This study aims to explore brief reflective practices based on the Asmaul Husna Ar-Ra’ūf, Ar-Raḥīm, and Al-Wadūd as psycho-spiritual micro-interventions to support teachers’ emotional regulation and well-being. Employing a reflective phenomenological approach, this study involved six teachers from a dhu’afa school in Bali. Data were collected through reflective journals and in-depth interviews and analyzed using reflective thematic analysis. The findings identified four main themes: calming, gentle emotional regulation; rahmah, the strengthening of pedagogical care; love, the revitalization of professional meaning; and emotional recovery through enhanced spiritual awareness. These findings highlight the study’s original contribution by addressing a gap in the literature on contextual, low-cost, and easily integrated Islamic values-based micro-interventions to support teacher well-being in resource-limited educational settings. Keywords: Asmaul Husna, emotion regulation, psycho-spirituality, reflective practice, teacher well-being
