Abstract

Career plays a crucial role in an individual’s life and should be developed from an early age. However, many Generation Alpha adolescents have not yet realized their career interests. This study aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of "Aku dan Kesadaran Karirku" e-book as a tool for increasing students’ career awareness. Development followed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The study involved 152 eighth-grade students from four MTs N in Sleman, Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques included career awareness scales and interview guidelines. Feasibility was measured on a Likert scale of 1-5 (4.8 = very feasible). Practicality assessments yielded scores of 4.45 (individual trial), 4.12 (small group), 4.19 (large group), and 4.43 (teachers), indicating high effectiveness. Wilcoxon test showed significant improvement (p < 0.05). The findings conclude that the developed e-book is feasible and effective for enhancing career awareness, serving as an innovative tool for school counselors. Abstract

This study explores the transformation of Sufistic da'wah and Islamic spiritual psychotherapy through the practice of online manaqib in the Qadiriyah Naqsyabandiyah (TQN) Tarekat community in Indonesia. This adaptation emerged in response to geographical and time constraints in traditional spiritual gatherings. Through semi-structured interviews, participatory observations, and digital documentation analysis, this study analyzes the spiritual and therapeutic impact of online manaqib. The results demonstrate that this practice upholds the core values of Sufi spirituality while expanding the reach of da'wah through digital platforms, such as Zoom. Virtual interaction between the murshid and the disciple fosters a meaningful spiritual connection, even in the absence of physical presence. Additionally, online manaqib serve as a therapeutic medium that promotes inner peace and spiritual resilience. This study presents an integrative model for technology-based spiritual guidance services, which is particularly relevant for urban communities in the digital and post-pandemic era. Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has altered children's social interactions, particularly in Indonesia, where early gadget use may limit direct peer contact and impede social-emotional development. Although positive peer relationships are essential for children's subjective well-being, studies examining the link between gadget addiction, peer interaction, and well-being in early childhood within a local cultural context are still scarce. This quantitative study surveyed 400 children aged 5–6 years in Java, Indonesia, using questionnaires on peer relationships, gadget addiction, and well-being. Multiple linear regression and path analysis revealed that peer interaction significantly influences subjective well-being (β = 0.362, p < 0.001), while gadget addiction was not directly significant (β = 0.013, p = 0.165). Gadget use, however, served as a mediating variable. These findings emphasize the importance of promoting strong peer interactions and managing screen exposure to support emotional and social development in early childhood. Keywords: peers; children, subjective well-being, gadget addiction

Abstract

Academic procrastination hurts students’ academic performance and emotional well-being. Addressing this issue is essential in higher education settings. This study examines the effectiveness of positive psychology-based counselling in reducing academic procrastination among guidance and counselling students. This study involved 16 students from Muhammadiyah University of Pringsewu, Indonesia, who used the Pure Procrastination Scale (PPS) to measure their levels of procrastination. A pretest-posttest control group design was applied. The experimental group received a positive psychology intervention consisting of 8 weekly sessions, while the control group participated in conventional group counselling. Data were analyzed using an independent t-test, which showed a significant difference between the two groups after the intervention (p = 0.001), with a strong effect size (Cohen’s d = 2.46). Furthermore, the intervention increased conscientiousness, self-restraint, and self-control, all of which are important for academic discipline. These results indicate that positive psychology-based counselling is effective in reducing academic procrastination and enhancing students' self-regulation skills. Keywords: academic procrastination, positive psychology-based counseling, conscientiousness, self-restraint, self-control

Abstract

Grit plays a pivotal role in supporting students’ academic success, especially when navigating challenges in higher education. This study examined the relationship of internal locus of control on grit with social support as a moderator among undergraduate students. Conducted among 423 undergraduate students from six universities in Malang City, East Java, the study utilized Cluster and Random Sampling techniques. Data were gathered using Indonesian-adapted scales: the Triarchic Model of Grit, Academic Locus of Control, and Multidimensional Perceived Social Support. Data analysis was performed using the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) method. The results showed that internal locus of control has a significant influence on students' grit, with social support serving as a moderating variable (F Change = 16.245, p = 0.01). This finding suggests that social support enhances the effect of internal locus of control on students' grit, referring to the assistance and encouragement individuals receive from their social networks. Keywords: grit, internal locus of control, social support, undergraduate students, moderation

Abstract

This study analyzes the intervention of the PKPA Foundation in the prevention of child violence in Bale Village, Donggala Regency, using a descriptive qualitative method by collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants involved include the Village Head, the Chairman of the Foundation, Foundation Staff, and the child's parents, who have an important role in the problem being investigated. The results of the study show that violence against children, whether physical, emotional, verbal, or neglect, has a significant impact on children's psychological development, such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD. This impact interferes with children's ability to manage emotions, form healthy interpersonal relationships, and increase the risk of social isolation. The PKPA Foundation implements prevention strategies that involve a community-based approach through education, community empowerment, and psychosocial support to victims. The Bale Village Government plays a role in strengthening local norms and building a community-based protection system. Based on these findings, it is suggested that further research measure the effectiveness of community-based approaches in preventing child violence in other areas with different social conditions. Researchers also need to explore the role and challenges of village governments in the implementation of child protection systems and analyze the long-term impact of violence on children, particularly in social and academic aspects after receiving interventions. Abstract

Group guidance services play a crucial role in developing students' potential, but their implementation often fails to conform to established standards. This study aims to evaluate the gap between the standards and actual practices of group guidance services in private junior high schools in Yogyakarta City. Using a mixed-methods approach with a discrepancy model, the study involved ten BK teachers who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through evaluation questionnaires and in-depth interviews, and then analyzed using descriptive statistics and content analysis. The results showed that most BK teachers did not regularly carry out services and that these services were not based on a systematic needs assessment. Key findings suggest that structural barriers such as administrative burdens and the absence of schedules remain key factors. Recommendations include the need for needs assessment training, innovative service strategies, and the regular inclusion of special hours for BK services in the school curriculum. Abstract

This research aims to develop a differentiated learning strategy that incorporates an inclusive approach in Islamic jurisprudence to enhance student learning outcomes at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Deli Serdang. This research employed the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) model, developed by Robert M. Branch. The research findings of this study demonstrate the effectiveness and practicality of implementing a differentiated learning strategy with an inclusive approach in Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh). Learning activity increased across trials, with a score of 2.67 in the first trial (practical with minor revisions) and rising to 3.67 in the second trial (very practical). Most notably, the strategy was found to be effective in enhancing student learning outcomes, as indicated by the results of a statistical paired t-test, where the calculated t-value (17.86) exceeded the critical t-value (2.045). Furthermore, the normalized gain (N-Gain) score reached 0.587, reflecting a moderate level of improvement. Keywords: learning strategy, differentiated learning, inclusive approach
