Abstract

People with disabilities often face significant challenges in accessing equal employment opportunities, with unemployment rates remaining relatively high. Interest-based career guidance is a potential strategy to address this issue, as this approach assumes an individual’s abilities, interests, and aspirations. This research uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to identify interest-based career guidance strategies that effectively improve the employability skills of people with disabilities and analyse the supporting and inhibiting factors in their implementation. The results show that interest-based, personalised approaches and multidisciplinary support can improve the employability skills and integration of people with disabilities into the world of work. Enabling factors such as social support, inclusive awareness, and multisector collaboration are crucial, while barriers such as stigma, lack of resources, and inadequate policies need to be addressed. This research provides practical recommendations for policymakers, educators, and practitioners to optimise interest-based career guidance programmes for people with disabilities. Abstract

Digital transformation has increased job demands, making employee well-being a key organizational concern. This is particularly relevant for companies in the dairy industry, such as CV. X. POS is considered a crucial factor influencing well-being, yet previous research shows mixed results. This study examines the relationship between POS and employee well-being at CV. X. Using a quantitative approach with saturated sampling, the study involved 121 employees. The instruments used were the Perceived Organizational Support Survey (16 items, α = 0.913) and the Employee Well-Being Scale (18 items, α = 0.905). Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation with SPSS 24. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between POS and employee well-being (r = 0.889; p < 0.05). These findings highlight the importance of organisational support policies in improving employee well-being and suggest practical interventions for HR management. Keywords: perceived organizational support, employee well-being, employee

Abstract

Self-criticism is the tendency to judge oneself harshly and negatively, and it commonly appears during adolescence, a key stage in identity development. High levels of self-criticism are linked to mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. This study explores how parenting styles influence self-criticism in adolescents. Two hundred sixty-one adolescents aged 15–18 were selected through simple random sampling, with a sample size of 78% female. The study used a parenting style scale (based on Baumrind’s model, adapted by Sianturi et al., 2023) and the Forms of Self-Criticism/Self-Reassuring Scale (FSCRS). Linear regression analysis showed that all four parenting styles, authoritative, authoritarian, permissive, and neglectful, significantly affected self-criticism (p < 0.001). Regression analyses showed authoritarian parenting had the most potent positive effect (β = 0.876, p < 0.001), while authoritative had an adverse impact (β = -0.427, p < 0.001). These findings highlight the importance of parenting in shaping adolescents’ self-evaluation. Future research should consider broader demographics and mediating factors like emotional regulation and social support. Keywords: parenting style, self-criticism, adolescents

Abstract

Understanding and accurately measuring cooperative and competitive behaviour is essential for effectively predicting and applying these traits across various fields. This study aimed to adapt the Cooperative and Competitive Personality Scale (CCPS) for use in Indonesia and evaluated its psychometric properties. The Indonesian CCPS was adapted through translation and back-translation, then tested on 720 participants alongside the Big Five Inventory-50, Prosocial Scale for Adults and Prosocial Tendencies Measure. The results showed α=0.934; ω=0.933 for the cooperative, and α=0.884; ω=0.831 for the competitive, and strong test-retest correlations (r=0.978 for cooperative, r=0.984 for competitive). The findings demonstrate that the Indonesian CCPS is a valid and reliable instrument with strong psychometric properties. The findings help researchers and practitioners identify cooperative and competitive behaviour across contexts. In addition, these findings support the use of CCPS to design interventions to enhance teamwork and healthy competition. Abstract

The decline in communication ethics and student behavior in the school environment often causes complaints from teachers. This study aims to analyze the effect of group guidance and counseling services with sociodrama techniques on the understanding of polite behavior of grade VII students at MTS Palu Barat. The method used is an experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design and a quantitative approach. The research sample consisted of 10 students who were selected purposively from a population of 62 students. The instrument used was a Likert scale to measure aspects of politeness in interacting with teachers, parents, older people, peers, friends of the opposite sex, and younger people. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with a significance result of 0.005 (<0.05), indicating that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. These findings suggest that group guidance services incorporating sociodrama techniques have a significant impact on enhancing students’ understanding of polite behavior. Additionally, sociodrama techniques can be effectively integrated into school counseling programs to promote students’ social and emotional development. Abstract

Students’ interpersonal communication skills play an essential role in the success of social interactions. This study aims to analyze the barriers to interpersonal communication in students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Palu, with a focus on students of the main subject. The method employed was a qualitative case study, involving one key informant and two supporting informants. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s models: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions drawn. The results showed that low interpersonal communication was influenced by a religion-based education system that implemented gender segregation and a lack of interaction between school residents. This condition hinders the process of getting to know each other between students. However, some students are still able to adjust personally and academically. The novelty of this research lies in the local context, namely the social dynamics in Islamic schools with gender separation, which provides a new understanding of the influence of culture and educational structure on students’ interpersonal communication. Abstract

This research explores the relationship between forgiveness and happiness in late adolescents from divorced families. With the increasing divorce rate in Indonesia, the psychological impact on children is a concern. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between forgiveness and happiness of late adolescents who have a divorced parent background. A quantitative correlational approach with measuring instruments used for forgiveness is the Transgression Interpersonal Motivation Inventory (TRIM-18) and happiness using the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (OHQ involving 200 late adolescents aged 18-22 years across Indonesia. Data was collected through an online questionnaire measuring the level of forgiveness and happiness. Results showed a significant positive correlation (r = 0.492, p < 0.01), indicating that higher levels of forgiveness were related to greater happiness. This highlights forgiveness as an important psychological mechanism that helps adolescents turn negative experiences into personal strengths, improving their emotional well-being. Abstract

Loneliness is a prevalent issue among urban populations, often leading to social withdrawal, or hikikomori, and leading to virtual friendships as alternative sources of connection. This study used a multiple-methods approach to explore the virtual friendship phenomenon in Indonesia, combining quantitative analysis of loneliness, hikikomori tendencies, and intentions to form virtual friendships, with qualitative insights into the characteristics of an ideal virtual friend. Data from 153 participants aged 25–35 showed significant correlations between all aspects of hikikomori (p<.001). A t-test revealed that individuals who had engaged in virtual friendships reported significantly higher loneliness (t = 9.2134, p < .001) measured using SELSA-S. Qualitative analysis showed that the most valued traits were being a good listener with unconditional acceptance. These findings highlight the need for public mental health initiatives, particularly in Indonesia, to address loneliness through digital and face-to-face interventions, in line with national efforts to strengthen community-based mental health support. Abstract

This research aims to describe art education in Islamic education at Raudhatul Athfal Ibunda and Bunayya in Medan City. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that vocal and music education is carried out thematically through Islamic songs that are rich in moral values. Raudhatul Athfal Ibunda adopts a systematic and structured approach, with thorough planning, parental involvement, and targeted evaluation. In contrast, Raudhatul Athfal Bunayya is more flexible and emphasizes a play-based learning approach in a joyful environment. The success of art education is not only measured by its musical aspects but also by changes in children’s attitudes that align with Islamic values. These findings contribute to the development of an Islamic values-based art education model in early childhood education. Keywords: art education, islamic education, raudhatul athfal
