Abstract

One of the most persistent challenges in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is the level of awareness and acceptance among parents of Typically Developing Children (TDC). Limited understanding of inclusive education often contributes to stigma, resistance, and reduced collaboration between schools and families. This study examined the effectiveness of psychoeducational posters and leaflets in improving TDC parents’ comprehension of inclusive education. Using a quasi-experimental pre–post design, fourteen TDC parents participated and completed the Inclusive Education Comprehension Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test due to the small sample size and non-parametric distribution. Results showed a statistically significant increase in parents’ understanding after receiving psychoeducation materials. Parents reported clearer knowledge about the purpose, benefits, and implementation of inclusive education, indicating that visually delivered, indirect psychoeducation remains effective even in the digital era. These findings suggest that poster- and leaflet-based psychoeducation can serve as a practical and scalable strategy for schools and educators to promote greater acceptance toward children with SEN. However, to achieve more sustainable, more profound behavioral change, future interventions should combine indirect media with direct psychoeducational activities, such as workshops or guided discussions, particularly for parents with limited reading motivation or literacy challenges. Abstract

At present, the mental toughness construct is attracting increasing attention as a measure of a person's resilience in facing pressure. One of the initiators of the mental toughness construct was Gucciardi and his team in 2015, who based it on existing mental toughness theories. This study was conducted to develop the mental toughness construct developed by Gucciardi and his team in the Indonesian context. This study was conducted using a quantitative method, with data collected via a questionnaire. A total of 114 people (87.7% women), with an average age of 22 years, who are currently studying at college, participated in this study. The collected data were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Based on the CFA analysis, CFI = 0.956 and RMSEA = 0.071, indicating a mental toughness construct with a total of 8 good- and fit items in Indonesian. In addition, all the construct items are reliable, as the Cronbach’s alpha is 0.786 (≥ 0.70). It can be concluded that the Indonesian adaptation of the one-factor MT-8 model is a psychometrically sound and suitable instrument for evaluating mental toughness. Abstract

Marital instability often leads to dissatisfaction and may result in divorce. In Indonesia, around 400,000 divorces occur annually, reflecting persistent marital dissatisfaction. This study aims to identify research gaps in the study of marital satisfaction within Indonesian psychology literature from 2019 to 2024. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the study conducted a systematic content analysis of 101 journal articles retrieved via Google Scholar using Publish or Perish 8. Results show a generally increasing trend in research despite a temporary decline in publication numbers. Most studies employed quantitative methods (76.53%), correlational designs (72.37%), and focused on variables such as religiosity (12.36%). The most frequently used instrument was the ENRICH Marital Satisfaction scale (32.61%), with correlation analysis as the dominant statistical method (31.07%). The results of this study highlight prevailing trends in existing research and identify several areas requiring further investigation to enhance understanding of marital satisfaction in Indonesia. Keywords: marital satisfaction, religiosity, ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Scale, research trends, Indonesia

Abstract

This study conducted a bibliometric analysis to map the global research landscape on cyberbullying in the context of guidance and counseling. A total of 195 scientific papers indexed by Scopus from 2015 to 2025 were analyzed quantitatively using RStudio (Bibliometrix) and VOSviewer. The analysis showed a significant increase in scientific productivity, with the United States, Spain, and Turkey as the main contributors. Most publications (78%) use quantitative methods and focus on adolescent populations (63%). The thematic evolution analysis revealed a shift in research focus from behavioral identification towards preventive interventions, detection systems, counseling, and the use of technology such as machine learning. The article by Radovic et al. (2016) received the highest number of citations (223). Developing thematic areas emphasize mental health, digital identity, and technology-based counseling strategies. The implications of this study highlight the urgency of developing adaptive, evidence-based digital counseling policies and integrating digital literacy into prevention programs. Keywords: cyberbullying, guidance and counseling, bibliometric analysis, research map, digital intervention

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the reasons, commitment and meaning of grandparenting in families caring for grandchildren with ASD aged 2-6 years. This study used a qualitative, phenomenological approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with seven primary caregivers of children with ASD. They were analysed using content analysis and therapeutic and occupational science frameworks to reveal patterns of caregiving, adaptation, and subjective meaning. This study resulted in three main themes being identified: 1) motivational reasons for becoming the primary caregiver, which included a sense of responsibility to the family and concern for the child’s safety and well-being; 2) the forms of caregiving work commitments undertaken by grandparents, including time management, adjustments to parenting strategies, and handling behaviours typical of ASD; and 3) the meaning of the emotional dimension of this role, which was characterised by long-term commitment, a sense of moral responsibility, and a deep bond of affection. Abstract

This study explores the complex emotional dynamics and grieving process experienced by a woman following an induced abortion, utilizing Kübler-Ross’s five-stage grief model (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance) as a theoretical framework. A qualitative narrative approach was employed, with data collected through an in-depth, semi-structured online interview with a 20-year-old participant who underwent an abortion at age 18. Non-participant observation of non-verbal cues supplemented the interview data. Thematic analysis was conducted to map the subject’s experiences onto the stages of grief. Findings confirm that the participant navigated all five stages of grief, though in a non-linear and highly individual sequence. The depression stage was notably prolonged, while the eventual movement toward acceptance was significantly facilitated by entering a new, supportive romantic relationship, which provided a crucial "safe space." The experience was compounded by feelings of isolation, stigmatization, and a lack of adequate social support from her partner at the time of the procedure. The study underscores that abortion, particularly under stressful conditions, constitutes a significant psychological loss that can trigger a profound grieving process. Recommendations include integrating psychosocial education into reproductive health programs and conducting further comparative research on the experiences following legal versus illegal procedures. Abstract

The high unemployment rate among vocational school graduates in Indonesia is partly due to their low confidence in making career-related decisions, as measured by Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy (CDMSE). This lack of confidence may hinder students’ work readiness, particularly as they prepare for industrial work practice. This study examined the effectiveness of Future Orientation training in improving CDMSE among vocational students. A quasi-experimental design with an untreated control group and pretest-posttest measures was used. The participants were 28 grade 11 students from a Vocational High School in Yogyakarta, selected through purposive sampling, all with low CDMSE scores. The training aimed to strengthen students’ motivational, affective, and cognitive capacities related to exploring career options, future planning, and goal setting. CDMSE was measured using a scale adapted from Betz and Luzzo, validated by Purnama and Ernawati, with acceptable fit indices (Chi-Square p > .05, RMSEA ≤ .08, CFI ≥ .95, SRMR ≤ 0.08). The Wilcoxon Rank Test showed a significant improvement in CDMSE after the training (p < .01), and the Mann-Whitney Test revealed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups (p < .01). These findings support the effectiveness of Future Orientation training in enhancing CDMSE. Similar programs could be integrated into vocational education to improve career readiness and reduce the risk of unemployment. Abstract

The exposure of pornography among adolescents is increasingly worrying because it has a negative impact on psychological, social, academic, and moral aspects. This study aims to test the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavior Modification (CBM)-based group counseling services using cognitive restructuring techniques in preventing exposure to pornography among students. The method used was a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects were 17 students from Senior High Schools in Sarolangun , selected via cluster random sampling: 9 in the experimental group and 8 in the control group. The research instrument contained 34 valid and reliable items that measured sound, reading, images, and actions. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and the Mann-Whitney U Test. The results showed that the experimental group experienced a significant decrease in pornography exposure scores from high to low, with an N-Gain of 34.8. In contrast, the control group only had an N-Gain of 15.5. The Mann-Whitney U test resulted in p = 0.048 (< 0.05). These findings confirm that CBM is effective as a preventive strategy and can be implemented by guidance and counseling teachers to help students deal with the challenges of pornography exposure. Keywords: group counseling, cognitive behavior modification, cognitive restructuring, pornography exposure

Abstract

The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in online learning has reshaped education, with AI-driven feedback as a key innovation. This paper systematically reviews its role in enhancing student motivation through the lens of Self-Determination Theory (SDT). Using a PRISMA-based Systematic Literature Review (SLR), 20 journal articles were selected from Scopus and Web of Science. VOSviewer supported bibliometric and thematic analyses, mapping keyword co-occurrence and research trends. Results show that AI-driven feedback enhances competence through timely, specific guidance; promotes autonomy through adaptive personalization; and fosters relatedness through interactive features and gamification. Challenges include affective satisfaction, ethical concerns, data privacy, and balancing teacher technology roles. AI-driven feedback can enhance intrinsic motivation in online learning when integrated with sound pedagogy and teacher support. Future research should explore long-term impacts and refine strategies for human AI balance. Keywords: AI-driven feedback, adaptive learning, student motivation, online learning

Abstract

This study fills a research gap by extending previous studies on driver distraction and risky driving behavior beyond specific contexts or distraction types. This meta-analysis assesses the strength of the relationship, heterogeneity, publication bias, and moderators. The literature was searched through PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Elsevier (2015-2025). Of 128 articles, 10 cross-country studies with samples of 165-21,000 respondents passed PRISMA selection. Random-effects analysis with Fisher’s z transformation showed a heterogeneity (I² = 99.63%; Q = 2394.305; p < .001). Publication bias tests (Fail-safe N = 12,234; Egger p = 0.861; Begg p = 0.381; trim-and-fill = 0) showed no bias, and the association between variables remained consistent. Visual, manual, and cognitive distractions increase risky driving behavior. Findings support educational policies, stricter regulations, and distraction-mitigation technologies, and offer novelty in synthesizing the latest cross-national evidence. Keywords: drive distraction, risky driving behavior, meta-analysis, traffic safety, driver attention
