Journal of Industrial Engineering & Management Research (JIEMAR)
The aim of JIEMAR ( Journal of Industrial Engineering & Management Research is to publish theoretical and empirical articles that are aimed to contrast and extend existing theories, and build new theories that contribute to advance our understanding of phenomena related with industrial engineering and industrial management in organizations, from the perspectives of Production Planning/Scheduling/Inventory, Logistics/Supply Chain, Quality Management, Operations Management and Operational Research. The contributions can adopt confirmatory (quantitative) or explanatory (mainly qualitative) methodological approaches. Theoretical essays that enhance the building or extension of theoretical approaches are also welcome. JIEMAR selects the articles to be published with a double bind, peer review system, following the practices of good scholarly journals. JIEMAR is published monthly (on-line versions), following an open access policy. On-line publication allows to reduce publishing costs, and to make more agile the process of reviewing and edition. JIEMAR defends that open access publishing fosters the advance of scientific knowledge, making it available to everyone. This research is due to concerns about the morals of students who graduate from Madrasah Aliyah who are in Persatuan Islam Boarding School environment which are still very vulnerable to being affected by environmental conditions that are not in accordance with the values upheld in the pesantren. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the Management of Noble Morals Education in Madrasah Aliyah Students at Persatuan Islam Boarding School. This research was conducted with a multi-case study approach at MA PPI 67 Benda Tasikmalaya, MA PPI 84 Ciganitri Bandung and MA PPI 99 Ran Brancho Garut with a qualitative method that management of noble character education in improving the quality of graduates of Madrasah Aliyah Islamic Boarding School students. The results of this study reveal that: (1) Noble character education management policies are based on harmonization of conventional Islamic boarding school values; (2) The noble character education program is based on the values of modern scientific development; (3) The implementation of noble character education, through activities that have been determined and serve as guidelines for the implementation of Islamic boarding school learning, as well as continuous monitoring or evaluation, both internally and externally in order to improve the quality of graduates; (4) The method used in the education of noble character that is applied by pesantren is precisely through example, conditioning (boarding school), direction (advice/nurturing), habituation (training and assignment), active participation (involvement of roles in activities) and learning with rewards. and punishments; (5) The form of noble character that is formed in noble character education, through cadres with precise character, scientific insight, competitiveness, tafaqquh fiddin and moral character; (6) The problems faced in noble character education related to combining the official curriculum and typical Islamic boarding schools must work together optimally; (7) The solution given in noble character education is the problem of time division between pesantren activities and learning in madrasas and boarding schools. The conclusion of this study is that the management of noble character education for MA PPI students is able to reduce the emotional turmoil of adolescent students and can become graduates with noble character, although it has not reached the expected degree.

The dissertation with the title "Management of Infrastructure in Improving the Quality of Vocational High School Graduates" focuses on case studies conducted by Vocational School in an effort to improve the quality of Vocational High School graduates. So far the management of facilities and learning infrastructure that standardized Laboratory of Honda motorcycle business techniques with disadvantages is less running to the maximum that causes the absorption of graduates to the Dudi still low. While the demands of real needs are increasing competitiveness through the quality of graduates who are ready to work, where the output and outcome graduates are priority. The general purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the Management of Facilities and Infrastructure in Improving the Quality of Vocational High School Graduates. The specific objectives to be achieved at the end of this research are: (1). Knowing and explaining the facilities and infrastructure management program in improving the quality of Vocational High School graduates; (2). Implementation of facilities and infrastructure management in improving the quality of Vocational High School graduates; (3). Problems faced in implementing the management of facilities and infrastructure in improving the quality of Vocational High School graduates; (4). Future demands related to the management of facilities and infrastructure in improving the quality of Vocational High School graduates; (5). Future improvement steps in the management of facilities and infrastructure in improving the quality of Vocational High School graduates. In order to get a comprehensive picture of this, research was conducted with a case study approach at Vocational High School Lentera Bangsa 1 Karawang, Vocational High School Lentera Bangsa 2 Karawang and Vocational High School Rismatek Karawang with qualitative methods. Based on the interpretation and analysis of the research results, the general conclusion is that the facilities and infrastructure management program has improved the quality of graduates which has an impact on the quality of graduates who are absorbed in the world of work, including: (1). Facilities and infrastructure management program in improving the quality of Vocational High School graduates who have the knowledge, skills and work ethic in accordance with the demands of the job market; (2). Implementation of management of facilities and infrastructure together carry out learning and assessment together in educating, training and providing qualified and work-ready workforce; (3). Problems encountered related to disproportionate number of industries and lack of practical equipment; (4). Future demands related to collective agreements in producing vocational graduates who are ready to work and competitive according to the demands of DUDI; (5). The next improvement step is to open foreign investment as a step to increase DUDI and complete school facilities and infrastructure.

So far the implementation of Tri Dharma Human Resources Management of Universities, a lecturer carries three main tasks, namely: (1) education and teaching; (2) Research; and (3) devotion to the community. The general objective of this study, namely to find out and analyze the influence of the Human Resource Management of Tri Dharma Higher Education on improving the quality of PTS lecturers in the high school cluster in the DKI Jakarta and West Java areas. Interpretation and analysis of the results of the study, obtained general conclusions as follows: (1). The findings of the study, namely from the three Tri Dharma components of college, research and publications including difficulties carried out by lecturers, while there are demands to publish the results of their research on reputable international journals that have a significant effect on improving the quality of lecturers.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membandingkan hasil analsis data penelitian kuantitatif bidang marketing menggunakan software SPSS, SmartPLS, WarpPLS dan Amos untuk jumlah sampel besar, pada penelitian ini jumlah sampel 500 responden. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dan analisis data penelitian menggunakan keempat jenis software tersebut untuk didapatkan perbandingan hasil analisis. Analisis dalam penelitian ini fokus pada analisis uji hipotesis dan analisis regresi. Data hasil penelitian ini menggunakan data kuantitatif yang berasal dari data kuesioner yang berjumlah 500 responden dengan tiga variabel penelitian, yaitu variabel independent digital marketing , customer satisfaction, dan variabel dependen customer loyalty. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menggunakan software Amos, SPSS, SmartPLS dan WarpPLS untuk jumlah sampel responden besar yaitu 500 responden diperoleh hasil bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada nilai signifikansi p-value dan t-value. Nilai determinasi yang dihasilkan juga tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan, serta nilai korelasi pada persamaan struktural yang dihasilkan juga tidak ada perbedaan hasil yang signifikan.

Teachers’ commitment towards organization is important to be improved. Strengthening teamworks, good situational leadership by the principal and strong self-efficacy can be used as an effort to improve teachers’ commitment towards their organization. This study is aimed to determine the commitment of private Senior High School teachers in Sukabumi towards their organization through the study of relationship strength between research variable, teamworks, Principal’s situational leadership and self-efficacy. The research used correlational analysis and quantitative method while data collection techniques are collected through questionnaires. The population used in this research are 240 private permanent school teachers in Sukabumi. The sample of the research are 150 teachers calculated by Taro Yamane formula with a significance level of 0,05.Based on the results analysis, there is positive and significant relationship between Teamworks and Teachers’ commitment towards organization with the correlational coefficient ry.1 = 0,0346. There is positive and significant relationship between Principal’s situational leadership and teacher’s commitment towards organization with correlational coefficient ry.2 = 0,465 and there is positive and significant self-efficacy and teachers’ commitment towards organization with correlational coefficient ry.3 = 0,319. The conclusion based on STOREM analysis shows that all teamworks indicators influence teachers’ commitment towards their organization. It means, the stronger the teamworks, the higher commitment teachers have to their organization. All indicators of Principal’s situational leadership influence teachers’ commitment towards their organizations. It means, the stronger Principal’s situational leadership, the higher commitment teachers have to the organization. All indicators of self-efficacy influence teacher’s commitment towards organizations. It means, the stronger self-efficacy; the higher commitment teachers have to the organization.

-This study aims to determine the effect of productivity level and attendance to salary. The object of research is the contract labor (TKK) employees at the Bekasi City Education Office. The quantitative research used questionnaire that distributed to contract labor employees at the Bekasi City Education Agency. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis techniques.The results of the study indicate that the variable Productivity Level has a negative effect on Salary. Furthermore, the Absence Variable has a positive effect on Salary. The results of multiple regression analysis with the function Y = ¬ 10,087 - 0.052x1 + 0.434x2 + e. and, R Square results of 5.9%, which means 94.1% is the contribution of the variables not examined in this study.

Usually there is no attention with regards to student's or parent’s satisfaction especially for public schools. The aim of this study is to examine how parents' satisfaction levels are influenced by their expectations and perception values, so that it can improve the quality of education through improving students or parent’s satisfaction. Research was conducted in Depok Baru 2 Public Elementary School, Depok City, Indonesia. The method of analysis uses Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). 60 data out of 72 was collected from 6th grade parents. Finding of this study showed, path coefficient of customer expectations to customer perceived value was 0.626; meanwhile path coefficient of customer expectations to customer satisfaction was -0.066; and the path coefficient of customer perceived value to customer satisfaction was 0.877. Finally, the path coefficient of customer expectation to customer satisfaction through customer value was 0.549. This proves that the existence of variable mediation of customer perceived value successfully mediated customer expectations toward customer satisfaction.

Transformational leadership has been widely implemented. Transformational leadership can be used to achieve organizational commitments. The purpose of this article is to review the correlation between transformational leadership and organizational commitment, as well as the impact of other variables that strengthen the correlation. This article analyses the research related to the correlation between transformational leadership and organizational commitment, as well as the mediators and moderators that strengthen this correlation. The method consists of systematically reviewing transformational leadership and organizational engagement through journal reviews. This systematic review shows that transformational leadership significantly predicts organizational participation. Transformational leadership influences organizational commitment through intermediary variables, that is, job characteristics and job autonomy. Other results indicate that emotional intelligence is a moderating variable that can strengthen the correlation between transformational leadership and organizational commitment.

Abstract — This study aims to analyze the influence of personality, work motivation, and compensation on turnover intention. The population in this study were 297 employees of PT. MPI. The sample used is 75 employees, calculated based on the Slovin formula. Sampling method using Stratified Random Sampling. Methods of data collection using survey methods, with the research instrument is a questionnaire. Data analysis method using Partial Least Square 3.0 application. This study proves that personality has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. Work motivation has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. Pelaksanaan Proyek Pembangunan Bendungan Bendo Lanjutan Kab Ponorogo Jawa Timur direncanakan selesai dalam 750 hari kalender, namun pelaksanaan proyek tersebut mengalami keterlambatan, yang dapat berdampak besar terhadap waktu dan biaya pada proyek tersebut. Karena itu diperlukan analisis metode percepatan dengan pengurangan durasi proyek agar dapat mengejar prestasi yang tertinggal. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis waktu dan biaya proyek jika dilakukan percepatan (crashing) dengan penambahan jam kerja lembur, menganalisis waktu dan biaya proyek jika dilakukan metode tumpang tindih (overlapping), menganalisis waktu dan biaya proyek jika dilakukan metode gabungan antara percepatan (crashing) dan tumpang tindih (overlapping), yang terakhir bertujuan untuk mengkaji waktu dan biaya yang paling optimal dengan menggunakan alternatif crashing, overlapping dan gabungan antara crashing overlapping. Data yang dibutuhkan yaitu data sekunder berupa data time schedule dan laporan mingguan proyek, rencana anggaran biaya proyek, jumlah tenaga kerja setiap item pekerjaan. Analisis dilakukan untuk mengetahui waktu dan biaya akibat percepatan dengan penambahan jam kerja (crashing), overlapping dan gabungan crashing overlapping, selanjutnya dicari perbandingan waktu dan biaya yang optimum dari tiga alternative tersebut. Dari hasil tiga perhitungan dapat disimpulkan bahwa waktu dan biaya akibat percepatan yang optimum adalah metode gabungan crashing dan overlapping dengan penambahan jam kerja (lembur) selama 3 jam serta mengubah relationship dan lag didapat pengurangan biaya sebesar Rp 5.854.374.553 dari total biaya pekerjaan normal yang jumlahnya sebesar Rp 287.227.881.577 menjadi Rp 281.373.507.024 atau turun 2,038 % dari total biaya pekerjaan normal dengan pengurangan durasi pekerjaan waktu selama 271 hari dari waktu normal 750 hari menjadi 479 hari.
