Abstract

The partners in this program include the Head of Bantarsari Village and his staff, representatives of associations, and Bantarsari Small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The partners face several issues: the absence of producer organizations, underutilization of information technology, unregistered product trademarks, limited online marketing reach, and low marketing management competence. The program aims to provide education and training on trademark legality and to assist and facilitate the creation and registration of trademarks. Activities are conducted using persuasive and participatory methods through lectures, discussions, training, mentoring, and trademark registration facilitation. Based on data analysis before and after the program implementation, it was concluded that the mentoring and facilitation of trademark registration for Bantarsari SMEs were effectively addressed through continuous outreach and mentoring. The average increase in the effectiveness of mentoring and facilitation activities for Bantarsari SMEs trademark registration based on the collaboration between the village government and the campus reached 31.4%.

Abstract

Waste is a significant issue in society, both in Indonesia and globally. The primary challenges are the availability of landfills and the awareness of residents. Jongkong Pasar Village in Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan Province, faces similar issues. Consequently, a Zero Waste-themed community service program was implemented to enhance residents' awareness in managing household waste, particularly plastic. This activity took place in January 2024 utilizing the counseling method. As a result, residents' understanding of waste management improved through the implementation of zero waste practices. This fosters great hope that those who were not present will emulate the actions of the participants. Consequently, the waste problem in Jongkong Pasar Village can be addressed promptly.

Abstract

This initiative aims to address the challenges in teaching Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) at Muhammadiyah schools in Sorong, where teachers lack an understanding of Muhammadiyah ideology and cadre patterns, as well as the ability to create engaging learning media. The initiative was conducted in collaboration with the DIKDASMEN and PNF Assemblies of Muhammadiyah Sorong, focusing on revitalizing AIK teachers through learning media based on design thinking and Macromedia Flash. The activities included workshops using andragogical methods and the establishment of AIK teacher communities to address implementation issues post-activity. The results demonstrated improved management of educational human resources, enhanced understanding of Muhammadiyah ideology and cadre patterns among AIK teachers, and improved skills in creating engaging and modern learning media.

Abstract

Generation Z is a development milestone in determining the next leader. This community service aims to support the existence of young people who can use social media as a place to improve political literacy. This activity is carried out to provide knowledge transfer and is expected to be able to encourage students as novice voters to actively participate in the 2024 general election so that it can be held with integrity and quality. MAN 1 Bojonegoro is the target of this socialisation because class XII students as novice voters still lack political literacy. This is when students have the provision to make choices that are not easily consumed by political issues and harmful disinformation. The social media smart movement is a place to increase the role of participating in political literacy as citizens who uphold democracy.

Abstract

Ketimpangan pendidikan di Indonesia salah satunya disebabkan oleh keterbatasan sumber daya guru, terutama dalam memanfaatkan media pembelajaran interaktif. Guru di daerah terpencil cenderung kurang memanfaatkan media inovatif dibandingkan guru di kota besar. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memperkuat kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan Gimkit sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif di kelas, khususnya untuk mata pelajaran matematika. Pelatihan diberikan kepada guru SMP di Kecamatan Moa, Kabupaten Maluku Barat Daya, melalui tiga tahapan: (1) sosialisasi program, (2) pelatihan penggunaan Gimkit secara offline di Aula PSDKU Unpatti, dan (3) evaluasi melalui kuesioner dan wawancara. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan antusiasme guru untuk menerapkan Gimkit di kelas, yang dinilai dapat meningkatkan minat belajar dan mempermudah siswa memahami matematika. Program ini diharapkan menjadi wadah pengembangan kompetensi guru matematika di Kecamatan Moa dan memberi dampak positif bagi proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The establishment of cooperatives is inseparable from the role of the Cooperative Deed Drafting Notary (NPAK), an authorized official responsible for drafting cooperative establishment deeds. Through legal recognition as a legal entity, NPAK provides specialized services in drafting cooperative deeds, which cannot be performed by general notaries. Cooperatives play a strategic role in empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to improve members' welfare and strengthen management and accounting practices to ensure business operations align with their objectives. This activity involved guidance by NPAK in collaboration with Dekopinda Surabaya City on the importance of establishing cooperatives for MSMEs. The stages included comprehensive assistance in the application, drafting, and signing of cooperative establishment deeds and the subsequent approval process. The results indicated that the cooperative establishment process for MSME members in Surabaya City was successfully implemented, providing significant benefits in enhancing members' welfare

Abstract

Financial literacy is essential, particularly for housewives who manage household finances. A lack of understanding in this area can hinder wise financial decision-making. This study aims to enhance the financial literacy of housewives in Dusun Karanjang, Desa Wayame, Kota Ambon. The program employed a community education approach, including financial planning training, financial health assessments, and interactive discussions. The results indicated improvements in participants' abilities to manage budgets, save, and assess financial health, positively impacting family welfare. Challenges such as limited resources and time were addressed through recommendations for continuous mentoring and financial simulations. This program is expected to enhance financial literacy, promote economic stability within families, and contribute to overall community well-being.

Abstract

Improving teachers' competence in designing learning is essential for the quality of education. Many teachers struggle to develop effective lesson plans. This program aims to enhance the competence of science teachers in junior high schools in East Java through a hybrid workshop (offline and online) using the Understanding by Design (UbD) approach. The target participants were members of the Science Teachers' Association (MGMP). The program's effectiveness was assessed using a one group pre-posttest design, analyzed with raincloud plots, and the shift in pretest-posttest scores was evaluated using histograms and contingency tables. The results showed that the majority of participants experienced improvement, with 80% shifting to higher performance categories. The workshop successfully assisted teachers in developing lesson plans that align with student characteristics and curriculum goals. The long-term impact of the program is the enhancement of science teachers' pedagogical and pedagogical content knowledge.

Abstract

The community service program introducing accounting information systems and social media marketing at the high school level aims to enhance students' digital literacy in accounting and marketing. This initiative equips students with practical skills to manage financial information and ethically utilize social media for marketing activities. The program includes simulations of accounting applications, product marketing practices, and emphasizes digital ethics, such as safeguarding data security and complying with legal norms. The results demonstrate an increase in students' understanding of basic accounting information systems, digital marketing strategies, and the importance of digital ethics. This program is expected to provide students with relevant competencies to independently manage financial reports and address the challenges of the digital era.

Abstract

This community service activity was motivated by the challenges faced by partner educators, including limited skills in using science teaching kits (KIT IPA) and difficulties in finding alternative simple teaching tools. These issues hinder innovation in science education at the MTs level. The objectives of this program were: 1) to provide information on the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum (IKM) and project-based learning, 2) to develop teaching modules and student worksheets (LKPD) based on wetland environment projects, and 3) to demonstrate project-based learning methods. The methods employed included socialization, training, mentoring, evaluation, and sustainability planning. The results showed that teachers gained an understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation, were able to develop project-based teaching modules and LKPD and received practical examples of project-based learning. This program supports MTs science teacher working groups (MGMP) in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, utilizing KIT IPA, and employing simple tools for project-based environmental learning.
