Abstract

Most science teachers, especially in private junior high schools in Tulungagung, have not implemented AKM-based assessments due to their limitations on the concept of AKM, resulting in difficulties in preparing AKM-based science questions. This community service activity is a real response to these needs with the aim that teachers can understand the concept of AKM and design questions that are by competency standards, especially in science learning. The stages of this Community Service Programme (PkM) include preparation, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. Preparation was carried out with an initial survey to identify the problems and needs of partners, the formation of the PkM team, and coordination between the PkM team and partners for programme planning. Implementation involved 11 junior high school science teachers from 8 private schools in Tulungagung, with activities consisting of explanation of concepts and practice of making questions. Evaluation was carried out by comparing the condition of partners before and after the activity, followed by an accountability report and scientific publication. Although the mentoring activities in the preparation of AKM questions have not achieved 100% success, some results can be noted. As many as 45% of participants were able to develop literacy-based junior high school science AKM questions. However, 55% of other participants still experienced difficulties in preparing AKM questions, both literacy and numeracy, due to the limited time for mentoring. In terms of enthusiasm, the mentoring activities can be said to be successful because 100% of the participants showed high enthusiasm and actively participated in the activities. They also actively sent their work results in the form of the preparation of AKM-based junior high school science questions, showing their readiness to apply these concepts in classroom learning.

Abstract

This activity is a community service activity with the theme of strengthening literacy and numeracy learning. Literacy and numeracy are important skills that must be mastered to improve competitiveness and human resources (HR). Literacy and numeracy learning aims to make students familiar with literacy and numeracy. Literacy and numeracy skills include several concepts and strategies such as problem solving processes, examining information shown in making a decision, conveying ideas innovatively and creatively, as well as giving reasons, analyzing, solving, and formulating a problem. Literacy and numeracy are general and basic competencies, both of which are chosen because of the basic abilities or competencies needed by students, in this case strengthening literacy and numeracy-based learning is a competency that must be developed effectively. The method of implementing this community service is delivered through a webinar which is conducted online using the zoom meeting platform. In the webinar, the speakers explained about the definition, objectives, strategies, criteria and levels of competence in strengthening literacy and numeracy learning. More than 200 participants attended the webinar. As a follow-up to the webinar for teachers, students, and the general public to understand more about the material presented, and it is necessary to conduct offline workshops so that participants can find out more details and clarity about literacy and numeracy both at school and in the environment as well as examples and their direct application assisted by resource persons or a team of experts.

Abstract

MSMEs play an important role in creating jobs and contributing to the economy. Small and medium enterprises are used as a valuable opportunity to make money more profitably. Bolu is a very popular food in Indonesia. Steamed sponge cake has different variations, such as coconut milk, sugar, pandan leaves, and bananas. "Raja Bolu" is one of the MSMEs that needs to be optimized to be more advanced. By using a naturalistic method approach through a series of interviews, the information collected then leads to the development of conclusions and recommendations for utilizing digital marketing in revenue growth. Raja Bolu sales need to be optimized because they only use a banner. Raja Bolu has a distinctive taste but the food life is relatively short, no more than two nights because it does not use preservatives.

Abstract

The Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM) Batch 4 requires students to participate in community social contribution activities with their lecturers. The author took the theme of this activity to be related to learning media in schools. One activity that can be carried out is supporting teaching activities in the Social Science Subject, namely introducing the islands of the archipelago. Indonesia is an archipelagic country with various islands and strategic areas. Indonesia's geographic location is in southeast Asia, bordering Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, the Philippines and the South China Sea. Because of this geographical position and location, Indonesia is a huge country experiencing the expansion of provinces. As per its development, Indonesia has 38 provinces spread from Sabang to Merauke. This social contribution activity aims to introduce and disseminate educational and interesting learning media to students about the Province and the beautiful islands in Indonesia. This service method uses teaching materials in the form of interactive Pop-up Books. The learning media presented also includes media with 3-dimensional visualisation so that students can increase their motivation to learn related subjects. This activity was conducted for elementary school teacher participants and 4th-grade students. At the end of the activity, it is hoped that participants will always be aware of developments in Indonesian geographical map material with interesting learning.

Abstract

Natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis can cause death, damage, and property loss for humans. However, this event does not have a bad impact if a building is designed to be earthquake-resistant according to the SNI 1726:2019 standard. SMAN 1 Nangapanda is a school located in the Ende district, this location is close to the coast which has the potential to pose a tsunami hazard; PkM aims to provide education to the school community regarding earthquake disaster mitigation so that disaster victims can be minimised. Implementing this PkM uses methods including material presentations, discussions, and quizzes; and installing evacuation routes at earthquake gathering points in the school environment. The team provided material with a duration of 15 minutes, then gave a quiz and ended with installing an earthquake evacuation route. The results of the PkM running smoothly, and satisfactorily, by the objectives, can be seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in analyzing the animated images in the pamphlets distributed, answering the quiz questions given, activeness in asking and arguing regarding natural disaster mitigation, as well as participation in the activity of installing evacuation route poles gathering point located in the school area. As a follow-up to community service, it is necessary to add simulation activities during the earthquake and tsunami, so that the entire school community can practice these situations.
