Abstract

Pancasila is a way of life of the Indonesian people. During its development, the New Order government made Pancasila the only principle. This government policy gave rise to protests by the community, especially Islamic mass organizations. As a result of the reaction of Islamic community organizations (ormas), the government considered that these movements rejected the Pancasila ideology and were dangerous for the unity of the country. One form of reaction to this government policy was the explosion of the 1984 Priok Incident. This incident occurred on September 12 1984. The method used is descriptive analytical historical research which consists of several stages, namely topic selection, source collection (heuristics), source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The sources used are oral sources and written sources. The 1984 Priok incident cannot be separated from what is stated in the Collective Action Theory, namely a social movement based on certain interests and to achieve its goals, mobilization efforts or activities are carried out, while the nature of the action is reactive. In their efforts to prevent past humanitarian violations from being revealed, those responsible for security (security forces) in the period after the Priok incident tried to approach the victims, tried to cooperate and tried to get guarantees so that the 1984 Priok case would not be brought to court. This guarantee is applied in the form of peace called Ishlah.

Abstract

Banyaknya kasus kekerasan masih menjadi ironi dalam dunia pendidikan di Indonesia. Lembaga pendidikan yang seharusnya menjadi tempat pembentukan karakter peserta didik, nyatanya masih dipenuhi oleh berbagai tindak kekerasan yang jauh dari semangat kebangsaan. Pembelajaran sejarah lokal sebagai salah satu mata pelajaran yang memiliki muatan nilai untuk membentuk karakter peserta didik, memiliki peluang besar untuk merestorasi situasi tersebut. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan peace education, pembelajaran sejarah lokal dapat mengembangkan karakter peserta didik yang memungkinkan mereka untuk melakukan antisipasi dan mencegah terjadinya konflik yang dimulai dari lingkungan terdekat dengan menginternalisasikan nilai–nilai yang terkandung di dalamnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pembelajaran sejarah lokal Sumatera Selatan dengan menggunakan pendekatan peace education. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan menelaah berbagai sumber pendukung penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran sejarah lokal Sumatera Selatan berbasis peace education dapat menjadi alternatif bagi pendidik sejarah dengan menyasar pada dimensi nilai-nilai untuk membentuk karakter peserta didik yang cinta damai.

Abstract

This paper explores the role and political activities of kiai and pesantren in Berbek (present-day Nganjuk) during the late 19th and early 20th centuries in the context of resistance to Dutch colonialism. Through a social and political history approach, this study explores how kiai and pesantren became the centre of the anti-colonial movement, spread ideas of freedom, and shaped nationalist identity in Berbek society. The results provide deep insights into how the anti-colonial movement developed and forged a strong network in an effort to achieve national independence.

Abstract

This article focuses on studying Islamic education in Indonesia in the study of historical science which includes development, influence, and existence on the lives of Indonesian people. The background of Islamic education in Indonesia is influenced by the spread of Islam. Islamic education teaches about knowledge and behavior that is in accordance with the teachings and values of the Islamic religion. The teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith are the main teachings of Islamic education methods. Therefore, this article aims to examine the history of Islamic education in Indonesia. The method used in compiling this article is the historical method. This method is carried out in four stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. From this research it can be seen that Islamic education in Indonesia is colored with a touch of culture, customs and habits of the people of each region. Islamic education in Indonesia is developed through Islamic boarding schools, madrasas, and langgar. Islamic education does not only study religious knowledge, but also other fields of knowledge that are directed according to Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Jaran Kepang Turonggo Budoyo is one of the Jaran Kepang performing arts which was founded by the people of Sapikerep Village, Sukapura District, Probolinggo Regency as an effort to preserve the culture of the Tengger Tribe community. As the Tengger Tribe people who live in the Probolinggo Regency area, the geographical and socio-cultural conditions also influence the cultural color of the Tengger Tribe people who live in the area and produce various cultural hybridities, including in the field of culture. This research aims to determine the hybridity of the Jaran Kepang Turonggo Budoyo culture as a cultural preservation of the Tengger Tribe community. This research method uses field methods, namely case studies. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation and literature study. The analytical method used in this research is an interpretive qualitative method which is using a cultural studies analysis model. The results of this research are that the cultural hybridity that occurs in the Tengger Tribe community who live in Sapikerep Village, Sukapura District, Probolinggo Regency has influenced all aspects of the community's life. One of them is the cultural aspect in the field of performing arts, namely Jaran Kepang Turonggo Budoyo. The cultural hybridity that occurs in Jaran Kepang Turonggo Budoyo is a form of cultural preservation in the field of performing arts as an effort to maintain the preservation and resilience of the Tengger Tribe's culture.

Abstract

This paper describes Mahbub Djunaidi, a social activist, journalist and writer who often protested against government policies from 1970 to 1990. During this period, Indonesian Muslims lived in a different social and political atmosphere than before. Previously, Muslims in Indonesia were relatively free to express their thoughts and political activities, but during this 20-year period, the situation became more restrictive. President Soeharto's government allegedly carried out a series of restrictive actions to inhibit political freedom and intellectual development for some Muslims, especially those belonging to Nahdhlatul Ulama, the largest Islamic mass organisation in Indonesia at that time. This paper will use an intellectual history approach by putting forward a number of Mahbub's writings relating to his criticism of the Soeharto government. Mahbub's writing style is known for combining humour and satire, making him one of the most prominent columnists in Indonesia at the time.

Abstract

The project program to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students is a form of character education contained in the Merdeka Curriculum. In contrast to character education in the 2013 Curriculum, the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students is that character education is presented in a more systematic and measurable manner. One of the characters that can be developed through this program is the character of nationalism, as a mandate of national education goals. Apart from that, the project program to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students must be carried out periodically by schools as formal educational institutions. This research uses a qualitative research methodology, where the research locations are several vocational high schools in Jakarta, with respondents from school stakeholders, such as deputy principals for curriculum, teachers involved in the program and program object students. The results of this research show that all schools that are research locations can implement project programs to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students. There are various obstacles and obstacles faced by schools in its implementation. This research aims to see how the project program to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students is implemented in several vocational high schools. Are there any obstacles in its implementation.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the richness of Islamic cultural heritage in the magnificent Land of Jambi. Through exploration of the history, heritage, values, and influence of Islam in Jambi, readers are invited to explore the rich and deep cultural footprint. From the history of the entry of Islam, the beauty of Islamic architecture and art, to the values upheld in local society, this article reveals the diversity and splendor of Islam in the area. The method used in this study is a historical method consisting of 4 parts, namely Heuristics, Source Criticism, Interpretation, and Historiography. The type of source used in this study is collecting secondary sources, which are obtained through the process of document study which in this case can be in the form of data archives that discuss the richness of Islamic cultural heritage in the magnificent Land of Jambi, as well as scientific journals that discuss Islamic cultural heritage in Jambi Land. The result of this research is that Islam entering Jambi has a very much influence on the lives of Jambi people. This can be seen from the many changes in the order of social life, Islamic cultural relics, and even traditions that were present after Islam entered Jambi.

Abstract

Era teknologi informasi yang semakin maju, pendekatan tradisional dalam menyampaikan cerita-cerita sejarah telah bergeser menuju penggunaan platform pembelajaran daring yang memanfaatkan berbagai media digital. Tujuan dari penulisan oleh peneliti adalah menganalisis metode tutur sejarah dalam pembelajaran digital untuk memperkuat nasionalisme bangsa di abad 21. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualititatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka. Hasil penulisan menghasilkan berdasarkan dengan analisis konseptual dan contoh implementasi praktis, artikel ini menjelaskan pembelajaran digital dapat memperluas jangkauan dan mendalamkan pemahaman siswa tentang sejarah nasional mereka. Salah satunya adalah dengan metode tutur sejarah secara digital ini tidak hanya memungkinkan akses yang lebih luas terhadap cerita-cerita sejarah, tetapi juga memungkinkan pengalaman pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan inklusif.

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan tentang perkembangan pesantren (atau dayah) di Aceh Tengah pada periode 1960-2000. Melalui pesantren atau dayah, studi Islam dikembangkan hingga menjadi modal penting bagi masyarakat Aceh Tengah. Namun, tidak mudah dalam mengembangkan wacana ini, mengingat kondisi politik yang tidak menentukan. Keberadaan pemberontakan DI/TII dan Gerakan Aceh Merdeka (GAM) sempat membuat kehidupan belajar dan mengajar terganggu. Studi ini menggunakan riset kepustakaan untuk mengumpulkan sejumlah informasi kronologis tentang perkembangan pesantren di wilayah ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya transformasi pendidikan Islam, dari yang sebelumnya bernuansa tradisional, yakni dengan merujuk kitab Islam klasik, mengalami perubahan dengan ikut mengadopsi kurikulum yang ditetap pemerintah Indonesia.
