Abstract

The management of National Parks which have special regulations means that village communities around the area have limitations in utilizing the potential of the forests around where they live, as a result, conflicts often occur between village communities and National Park managers. It is necessary to find a solution to utilize a more diverse range of forest products without having to violate the rules for managing national parks. One of the non-timber forest products that has quite high potential for improving the economic level of society is natural dyes that can be extracted from various kinds of resources in the forest. Bukit Baka Bukit Raya National Park has very abundant natural resources so efforts are needed to utilize these natural resources sustainably. For this reason, the PKM Forestry team, in collaboration with the TNBBBR management, carries out outreach on the potential of natural dyes as a use of natural products based on regional potential in improving the economy of the community of Belaban Ella Village, Belaban Resort, Bukit Baka Bukit Raya National Park. It is hoped that this outreach can increase the community's capacity to utilize forest products that are environmentally friendly and of course have high economic value. This outreach can change people's mindset to start exploiting the potential that exists in the forest in an environmentally sustainable way.

Abstract

A curriculum comprises objectives, materials, and content that are required to be studied in an academic institution in order to accomplish educational aims. As of now, the Merdeka Curriculum stands as the most recent educational framework with the potential to enhance the standard of instruction for children across the nation in Indonesia. However, optimal implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has not yet occurred, particularly in early childhood education. The objective of this community service endeavor is to furnish early childhood teachers in Gunungpring, Magelang, with Merdeka Curriculum Training and its Practical Implementation. This activity was implemented through observation, implementation which consisted of training and mentorship, and evaluation. There were around 20 teachers from 10 schools who participated in this activity. It was done in the village hall of Gunungpring. The result of this activity was that the teachers’ skills and knowledge were enhanced in the Merdeka Curriculum for early childhood education. They claimed that the training and mentoring was successfully done to help them in increasing their knowledge of how the Merdeka Curriculum should be implemented. In addition, the teacher successfully developed Merdeka Curriculum-based Teaching Modules as the utilization of the results. They could manage to create modules which still focused on children playing and learning based on Merdeka Curriculum. The next step is to work with the local Education Department to offer additional training, particularly focusing on early childhood level. Additionally, the team intends to offer training in multimodal literacy. In the future, teachers will have additional references to improve their learning preparation.

Abstract

Digital literacy is crucial for enhancing communication skills in the technology era. Through digital literacy, Pasionis "Gen Z" are encouraged to improve their communication abilities by becoming adept in digital media. However, based on the initial situation analysis conducted by the Community Service Team (2023), it shows that Pasionis "Gen Z" still lack awareness of the importance of digital literacy. The issues faced by Pasionis "Gen Z" include a lack of awareness about the importance of digital literacy, weak digital communication skills, minimal facilities supporting digital literacy programs, insufficient knowledge on how to enhance communication intelligence through digital media, and a lack of guidance in digital communication. Solutions to these problems involve conducting outreach and workshops to raise awareness about the importance of digital literacy, providing training on how to communicate through digital media, supplying facilities and infrastructure to support digital literacy programs, enhancing knowledge in developing communication intelligence through digital media, and offering guidance in digital communication training programs. The methods used include socialization, training, technology application, guidance, evaluation, and program sustainability. The community service activities were successfully and smoothly carried out, involving responsive Pasionis "Gen Z". The results of the digital literacy seminar demonstrate an improvement in understanding and skills among Pasionis "Gen Z" in becoming proficient in digital media communication.

Abstract

In practical field experiences with an independent curriculum framework, learning tools, become interactive learning media that help teachers practice when teaching and interacting with students. The problem that occurs is that student teachers do not yet properly understand the concept and implementation of the curriculum. The pre-test results show that students do not have sufficient understanding, as evidenced by the average score obtained of 60.9. The improvement solution offered is a workshop on the implementation and preparation of independent curriculum tools in schools. This activity was carried out for 6 days with 120 participants. The implementation method uses a participatory approach with pretest activity steps, material presentation and posttest. The results of this workshop activity show that the workshop activity has a positive impact on students. In terms of the ability to understand the curriculum they are learning and the components in the learning tools, this is proven by the post-test scores with an average score of 82.3, while in terms of the ability to develop learning tools in group work, students can develop teaching modules and Pancasila profile modules correctly. The positive impact of this workshop activity increases students' self-confidence in carrying out practical field experiences at school in educational units according to their phases and characteristics.

Abstract

Getting to know and developing oneself is a task in every stage of human life development. Knowing and developing oneself into a potential individual, various approaches and methods should be used to achieve the goals. LKMM is one of the many approaches and ways to help students recognize and develop their own self potential. What does the abbreviation LKMM stand for? The abbreviation LKMM stands for the following characteristics: L (Latihan) K (Keterampilan) M (Manajemen) M (Mahasiswa) which means Students Skill Management Training (SSMT). The aim of this journal article is to re-mix the theme of "self-recognition and development" which is conducted in LKMM activities based on theories of self-recognition and self-development. Two methods are used to summarize this review, namely a literature review as a theoretical framework and a personality type assessment for volunteer participants and a lecturing method in three days LKMM activities. The results of the assessment and its interpretation supported by a lot of theories are presented in this review. The main elements discussed in this article are the essence of self, knowing thyself, and one's own potential, self-development, and LKMM as a training program and the guidelines of its implementation. This activity was held in collaboration with the HMPS PGSD committee and the Counseling Service Center and Campus Ministry of the University of Flores. The target group is third semester PGSD students at Flores University. The element of novelty of this article is that within the scope of PGSD at the University of Flores, there has never been a psychological examination related to the types of personality traits that can be used as a reference for fostering self-recognition and development of students.
