Abstract

The kepuak bark clothing has been used by people in Kalimantan, especially the Dayak tribe. Kepuak bark clothing is one of the cultures of the community, including the people of Belaban Ella village. Kepuak bark clothing is only used on certain occasions because of its stiff and rough texture. The purpose of this service activity is to convey information regarding the benefits of whiting as a softening agent for kepuak bark in Belaban Ella Village, Menukung District, Melawi Regency. The service activity was attended by 31 participants. Monitoring and evaluation of activities in the form of questionnaires was carried out before and after the activity. The questionnaire results showed that the understanding community increased after deliver of the knowledge. The insight of community was enhanced by utilizing whiting to soften the kepuak bark for clothing. The use of kepuak can maintain community culture. Kepuak bark-whiting soaked has potential to be used as clothing that can be ysed daily because has softer texture, can improve the economy, and encourage the community to protect the forest by planting more kepuak trees.

Abstract

Project Based Learning (PjBL) model is a model launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The research that has been carried out has produced products in the form of 3 books entitled: Project Based Learning on thematic learning in elementary schools in grades IV, V and VI. For this reason, through this KKN-MBKM activity, a trial was carried out at the school where the KKN-MBKM was held. Students involved in teaching at school relate to the contents of textbooks and also other activities that support the converted courses. The results of these activities are in the form of activity implementation documents such as evaluation results data, student questionnaire results data, observation data and also photos and videos of the learning process. This data will later be processed independently into a research report. Conclusions from the implementation of KKN-MBKM in the Social Village, Paguyaman District, Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo Province, carried out 3 (three) main activities, namely: (1) Initial observations in the Social Village and at SDN 3 Paguyaman, SDN 4 Paguyaman and MI Fastabiqull Khairat Paguyaman; (2) Implementation of the core program in the form of project based learning in classes IV, V and IV at SDN 3 Paguyaman, SDN 4 Paguyaman and MI Fastabiqull Khairat Paguyaman; (3) Implementation of additional program activities in the form of: morning exercise together providing IT training to teachers at SDN 03 Paguyaman, gymnastics with village officials, mobile legend tournament activities, Free Fire Tournament, village Trofeo cup soccer, Prom Night activities, involvement in August 17 celebration, community service at the Social Village Office, community service at tourist attractions, attending the Fastabiqul Khairat ta'lim assembly, assisting with administrative activities at the Social Village Office; (4) The KKN-MBKM village development that has been carried out can increase the Main Performance Indicators  (MPI) of Gorontalo State University, namely in the form of MPI 2 (students learn outside of campus), MPI 5 (publication/application of lecturer research), and MPI 6 (department partnerships).

Abstract

Indonesia has 143 million hectares of tropical forest which grows 80% of the world's medicinal plants. It is estimated that 25 thousand to 30 thousand plants can be used as medicine. One of these plants is red gedi or Abelmoschus manihot. Apart from having a delicious taste, red gedi leaves also contain many polyphenols, flavonoids, tannins, vitamin A, iron, fiber, folic acid, petroleum, methanol, collagen, vitamin C and several other nutrients which can be useful as a medicine for dyslipedemia. This activity aims to educate the community in Sejahtera Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency about the use of red gedi as a medicine for dyslipidemia. This service uses lecture methods and distributing brochures. Presentation of the level of public understanding of the benefits of red gedi is 96%, public understanding of dyslipidemia is 95%, and people's skills in processing red gedi into food and drinks that are good for health are 100%.

Abstract

In higher education, where it is required to create superior human resources, digitalization is a challenge that must be overcome both administratively and in, terms of learning functions. The occurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic seems to encourage and force the implementation of digital education, one of the implementations of which is an online learning system. The online learning system should not be an obstacle that discourages the pursuit of knowledge. The academic community of Universitas Putra Indonesia (UNPI) Cianjur in collaboration with the Faculty of Psychology, Jayabaya University is trying to answer all the challenges above in the form of Community Service activities with the Short Class – Influencer Academy program. Through the Short Class – Influencer Academy program. This activity uses the Service-Learning or SL method, which is an activity that involves practical experience, academic learning, and community involvement. Activities will take place from 20 December 2022 to 20 January 2023. From the activities that have been carried out, it is concluded that this activity can not only be carried out for disaster survivors but can become an annual program to prepare advanced students to enter higher education.

Abstract

The dedication to this activity was prompted by the lack of awareness about the potential use of coconut shells as gas fuel, like LPG, in Tebing Gerinting Selatan Village, as well as in Ogan Ilir Villages in general. The main aim of this activity is to educate the community in Tebing Gerinting Selatan on the technology of converting coconut shells into gas fuel using gasification technology. The educational process includes presentations, demonstrations, and discussions. During the demonstration phase, participants were shown how to operate coconut shell gasification equipment to produce gas fuel. The results of this activity were very encouraging as many participants showed a keen interest in the process and equipment used during the discussion phase. Based on the success of this activity, it can be concluded that there is a high level of public interest in coconut shell gasification technology, and there is a strong desire to apply this equipment to the kerupuk kemplang grilling process in the village.

Abstract

Community service is one of the activities required for lecturers at Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis ASIA Malang every semester. This activity is carried out in groups to distribute knowledge to the community. This activity is in partnership with the Batu City MUI in creating a digital website for distribution of information to the wider community. Problems arise when a partner's website is hacked or damaged by a hacker. The service team wanted to teach how to recover or mitigate after damage, but the technical team could not provide information regarding the website and suggested creating a new website. In the initial stage, this service will create a new website. The method of this service approach is to carry out discussions in group discussion forums (FGD). The results of the discussion were realized in the form of a website for the Batu City MUI. Evaluations were carried out regarding design and functionality requirements. The partners are satisfied but it must be developed further. In ongoing collaboration this website will continue to be developed. After that, training in mitigating data when exposed to hackers will be carried out in the next service.

Abstract

Environmental conditions can influence the occurrence of environmental-based diseases. Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is an environmental-based disease that is still a problem in Indonesia. The aim: to increase knowledge about pulmonary TB and increase sanitation facilities to improve indoor air circulation. This community service was carried out by a team of lecturers and students from the Kupang Ministry of Health Health Polytechnic Sanity Study Program. The activity partners were students of SMPK Adisucipto Penfui Kupang. Activities began with situation analysis, activity planning, implementation of counseling, mentoring as well as monitoring and evaluating activities. Community service activities in the form of assistance to schools caring for pulmonary TB at SMPK Adisucipto Penfui. This activity consists of counseling about preventing pulmonary TB disease and providing facilities to improve air circulation in classrooms. The results of the evaluation of student knowledge using a questionnaire showed that there was an increase in student knowledge. Providing facilities in the form of fans increases the availability of facilities to improve room air circulation so that the room air is more comfortable and feels cooler. Counseling with lectures and giving leaflets increases knowledge about pulmonary TB. The increase in the number of sanitation facilities has increased indoor air circulation making it more comfortable. Follow-up: Continuous assistance with broader targets (UKS, teachers, parents).

Abstract

One of the concerns raised in the pastoral panorama during the Eighth Pastoral Assembly (Muspas) of the Archdiocese of Ende is the lack of interest among children and teenagers in activities related to the Holy Scriptures. This reality is also keenly felt in the pastoral work of the Quasi-Parish of St. Charles Borromeo in Orakeri. Generally, Catholic children and teenagers lack enthusiasm and quickly become bored with Sekami activities that are too monotonous and lacking in variety. Furthermore, the limited number of competent leaders at the parish level and the lack of knowledge about the Scriptures contribute to the decreasing interest and affection of children and teenagers towards the Holy Scriptures. This service activity is conducted for the target groups of Catholic children and teenagers in the Quasi-Parish of St. Charles Borromeo in Orakeri Ende. The main objective is to enrich knowledge about the Holy Scriptures, hone skills in relation to Scripture literacy, and enhance the love of children and teenagers for the Holy Scriptures. The method used in this activity is a qualitative method that involves participatory action research in the form of lectures and simple yet meaningful practices, involving many participants. Activities include: introducing the Holy Scriptures with the help of cheers, movements, songs, and animated videos; Scripture literacy through training in reading and speaking the Scriptures, composing scripts and dramatizing the Scriptures, as well as various competitions related to the Scriptures. This combination of methods is aimed at minimizing participant boredom while simultaneously encouraging the development of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects among the participants. Consequently, the results achieved are that Catholic children and teenagers have a deeper understanding of the Holy Scriptures, sharpen skills related to Scripture literacy, and grow in their love for the Holy Scriptures.

Abstract

Kampung KB Sekip Jaya is prepared as a pilot Kampung KB for stunting prevention. Through the Dapur Sehat Atasi Stunting (DASHAT) programme, Kampung KB Sekip Jaya was implementing a government programme in the form of 100 days to overcome stunting by providing additional nutritionally balanced food to children who are identified as stunted. Together with the Kampung KB Activity Groups (BKB, BKR, BKL and UPPKA), the P3A and P2KB Office of Deli Serdang Regency, the Sekip Village Government and other community groups, the DASHAT programme was implemented as an effort to prevent stunting and build quality families. In its implementation, the DASHAT programme in Kampung KB Sekip Jaya faces various problems, namely: 1) DASHAT management was still conventional so that the 100-day programme to overcome stunting was not supported by the DASHAT work programme, 2) Community empowerment has not been maximised, especially in involving nutritionists and culinary experts, 3) Community empowerment, especially the Activity Group Kampung KB, was not in accordance with its function so that the target of the DASHAT programme was still limited, 4) Human resources involved in the DASHAT programme have low knowledge and understanding of DASHAT management and stunting prevention. The solutions offered through this activity were: 1) training and practice of DASHAT management, 2) training and practice of food production made from local raw materials for each Activity Group Kampung KB as a superior product that sells well.  The method used was partner assistance through training and practice of DASHAT management, training and production practices so that partners have a productive business unit that can be used as a source of financing for the family and for the Kampung KB Sekip Jaya. The results of the activity show that the participants' insights have increased, especially in preparing food menus for 100 days to overcome stunting, the availability of work programs in DASHAT management, the practice of processed marine fish production and the superior product of Kampung KB Sekip Jaya in the form of fish biscuits as a product that will be produced by the UPPKA group as the spearhead of the productive economy in Kampyng KB Sekip Jaya.

Abstract

General elections (elections) have an important meaning in the implementation of democracy. Elections are a means of implementing people's sovereignty. Therefore, it is hoped that the election will be democratic and participated in by all members of the community who have met the requirements. One group of people who need serious attention is the group of first-time voters. Beginner voters as participants who have never participated in an election before are expected to participate in the 2024 election intelligently. This means that beginner voters are expected to understand election rules, get to know election participants, know about voting mechanisms, and matters related to hoaxes and money politics. Good understanding and adequate knowledge can make beginner voters to participate in elections well, avoid election violations, and can choose candidates based on good criteria. This situation and condition are also experienced by students at Wonda Restoration Vocational School. There are 82 Restoration Vocational School students in the category of beginner voters who need to broaden their horizons and knowledge about elections. Various election regulations and their changes need to be studied and explored through legal education activities. Through socialization about election law, it is hoped that students can become intelligent voters during the elections at 2024.
