Abstract

Peace education is vital for fostering harmony and sustainable development, particularly in post-conflict areas like Aceh, Indonesia. This study explores the synergy between government policies and educational practices in implementing peace values at MAN 1 Pidie. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Informants included school staff, teachers, and government officials. Data were analyzed using Miles and Hubermans interactive model, focusing on the translation of government policies into school practices. Six core peace values”cooperation, tolerance, mutual respect, teamwork, leadership, and recognition of rights”are integrated into MAN 1 Pidie's curriculum, extracurricular activities, and school culture. Government support through policy frameworks, teacher training, and resource provision is instrumental in sustaining these efforts. While the program has successfully fostered inclusivity and reconciliation, challenges such as resource disparities and limited teacher capacity remain. Collaborative efforts between stakeholders are essential for improving sustainability and relevance. This study highlights the importance of government-education collaboration in embedding peace values.

Abstract

This research explores the interpretations of LGBTQ+ students regarding Boys love content, a genre featuring romantic relationships between male characters. Despite attracting fans from diverse backgrounds, the genre's interpretations often stem from the perspective of heterosexual women, creating a paradox in LGBTQ+ representation. The research results unveil a diverse and intricate understanding of LGBTQ+ characters, relationships, and symbols in Boys love.Furthermore, this research elucidates the crucial role played by symbols such as clothing, hairstyles, and accessories in shaping perceptions and identities within the LGBTQ+ community. These findings offer valuable insights into the impact of media representations on understandings of same-sex identities and relationships in societies still contending with traditional norms. The study also acknowledges generational differences in the interpretation of Boys love and how this content influences emotions, identity, and relationships within the LGBTQ+ community in Padang City. This research contributes to the comprehension of the Boys love phenomenon and its influence on LGBTQ+ individuals in Padang City, providing a foundation for understanding the complexity of LGBTQ+ representation in popular culture.

Abstract

This research presents a bibliometric analysis of the development and collaboration in public service innovation research from 2014 to 2023. Data were obtained from the Scopus database using the keyword "Public Services Innovation." The results indicate a significant increase in the number of articles discussing public service innovation each year, with articles being the dominant document type. The study also identifies leading authors in the field, with Gallouj and Djellal leading in both the number of studies and citations received. Co-authorship network analysis reveals two clusters of authors showing close collaboration in public service innovation research. Furthermore, visualization of inter-country networks highlights patterns of cross-border collaboration, with some countries tending to collaborate more closely in this research. Keyword clustering provides insights into themes and trends in research, focusing on information technology, innovation management, service design, and public sector collaboration. Overlay and density visualization analyses deepen the understanding of the relationships between themes and the evolution of research over time. Recommendations include promoting cross-border collaboration, focusing on innovation management and leadership, and researching technology to enhance public services. Further research is expected to identify current research trends and areas for expansion.

Abstract

This article examines students' readiness to face the world of work. As stated by the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Anwar Makarim, B.A., M.B.A., that 80% of Indonesian students do not work according to their major. This statement suggests that the diploma obtained is not in accordance with the demands of the world of work. So the problem is how the government will try to resolve the gap between graduates and employment opportunities. And how prepared students are to face the world of work after graduating.  The article is based on the results of random online open interviews with students at several universities in Surabaya. The results of the interviews show that students generally want to be able to work according to the disciplines they obtained at college or the diploma they obtained. And students hope that there will be efforts from the government to create jobs that suit their majors or changes to the curriculum that lead to a connection between education and work life.

Abstract

So far, the community of Sumber Makmur, Tenggulun District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, has depended on oil palm as their primary source of income. This condition impacts land clearing activities to expand planting areas, some of which are included in the leuser ecosystem area. Of course, this is a threat to ecological sustainability. Therefore, the HAkA Foundation took the initiative to educate the community through empowerment programmes so that the intervention could change the community's perspective on ecology positively. This study discusses the transformation process carried out by the HAkA Foundation and the socio-cultural implications that occurred in the Sumber Makmur community after the entry of the NGO. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques of observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies. The results showed that the existence and interventions carried out by the HAkA Foundation in Sumber Makmur Village were able to create positive changes and change the perspective of the surrounding community in protecting the leuser ecosystem area. The ecological citizenship programme impacts environmental awareness, so the community maintains, protects, and preserves the Leuser Ecosystem Area. The skills training programme on utilising palm oil waste opens up opportunities for economic improvement for the community, including by producing palm oil stick plates. In addition, skills training also leads to traditional food processing that can be marketed to increase income for the community.
