Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance the capacity of school staff in managing academic and financial data through the use of a School Management Information System (SIMS). The training included pre-test and post-test assessments to evaluate participants' understanding, participant satisfaction surveys, and practical exercises to apply the system. Results indicated a 35% improvement in participants’ knowledge, as reflected in the post-test scores. The satisfaction survey showed that 85% of participants were satisfied with the training material and delivery, though some participants still required additional support in using more advanced features of the system. The training also helped improve the efficiency and transparency of school data management, particularly in academic and financial reporting. By incorporating digital solutions into school management, the training contributed to the overall improvement of educational services. This initiative serves as an example for other schools to implement technology-driven solutions to improve administrative processes.

Abstract

This activity aims to build core competencies to address juvenile delinquency in schools through a strategic management approach. The method used was a material presentation combined with interactive discussions involving the village head, religious leaders, community elders, housewives, and youth figures. Internal school environment analysis was conducted to identify tangible assets, intangible assets, and organizational capabilities supporting delinquency prevention. Demographic data revealed that the 10–24 age group holds the highest potential for juvenile delinquency in Kassiloe Village. Addressing this issue requires synergy between family, community, and school environments. Schools must develop core competencies by enhancing infrastructure, building a good reputation, and strengthening management capabilities. The program was held on November 6, 2024, with active participation and discussions. The parent-student-teacher interaction model was also emphasized to strengthen collaboration in fostering youth character development.

Abstract

The objective of the Community Service Program is to implement one of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi). Additionally, it is expected that through this community service, the presence of higher education institutions can make a significant contribution to the development and application of knowledge in society. Therefore, this community service activity aims to provide socialization regarding human resource (HR) planning strategies to enhance students' creativity and foster an entrepreneurial mindset from an early age. The methods used in this activity include interactive socialization, group discussions, and hands-on practice through a project-based learning approach. The socialization sessions consist of presentations on the importance of creativity in business, HR management strategies in entrepreneurship, and techniques for developing simple business ideas. Group discussions are conducted to encourage students to explore their creative ideas, while hands-on practice sessions aim to train them in entrepreneurial skills through business simulations. The results of the activity indicate a significant improvement in students' understanding of entrepreneurial concepts. Students became more motivated to explore their own business ideas and understand the importance of creativity in building a sustainable business. The positive impact of this program is reflected in the increased interest of students in entrepreneurship and their readiness to innovate in creating business opportunities. Furthermore, it is expected that schools will develop more entrepreneurship-based programs to shape a generation that is more creative and independent. Thus, this community service program is expected to serve as a model that can be implemented in other schools to build more effective HR planning strategies in supporting students' creativity and entrepreneurial mindset.

Abstract

Sekolah Minggu Buddha (SMB) plays a vital role in imparting Buddhist values to children and youth, yet traditional lecture-based methods often fail to engage students effectively. This community service project aimed to enhance learning at SMB Vimala Sari, Semarang, Indonesia, by developing an interactive Pop-Up Book titled "Exploring Dharmayatra Sites with Moka and Mona." The project was implemented in four sequential phases: (1) preparation and needs assessment, involving focus group discussions with teachers and a literature review on Buddhist pilgrimage sites such as Candi Borobudur and Candi Mendut; (2) training and mentoring, where teachers learned to create Pop-Up Books through workshops focusing on technical skills and age-appropriate content design; (3) evaluation and refinement, using surveys and interviews with teachers to assess the book’s impact; and (4) follow-up and sustainability, including train-the-trainer programs, exploration of digital formats, plans for mass production, and dissemination to other communities. The Pop-Up Book significantly improved student engagement and comprehension, enabling teachers to adopt more creative teaching strategies. The project successfully built internal capacity and provided a replicable model for educational innovation in religious settings. Recommendations for future development include regular content updates, enhancing teachers’ digital literacy, fostering inter-institutional collaborations, replicating the model in other SMBs, and conducting long-term impact evaluations

Abstract

Perdana Village, Sukaresmi District, has the potential of natural resources that are still not maximized, especially in the processing of local agricultural and soybean products. This program aims to optimize the potential of the village through increasing the productivity of emping chips (chips from melinjo fruit) and banana jam, which are local superior products. The methods used include production technical training approaches, strengthening the capacity of micro businesses, and marketing assistance, both offline and digital. The process began with an initial survey to identify the constraints and needs of producers, followed by training on making quality banana chips and jam, improving packaging quality, and digital marketing strategies—referring to similar best practices from similar service journals. The results showed: Productivity increased significantly, with a 30–50% increase in daily output compared to before the intervention. The quality of packaging and branding are stronger so that it attracts the attention of local and digital markets. Sales are increasing, both via direct sales (stalls & village markets) and online/local platforms. Business actors gain new skills in production management and marketing, supporting the sustainability of micro businesses in villages. In conclusion, the optimization of the natural resources of Perdana Village through increasing the productivity of emping chips and banana jam is able to improve the welfare of the village community by strengthening the added value of local products so that the local products have a high selling value and are able to increase the welfare of the community, especially in Pandeglang Regency.
