Abstract

Food security is a crucial pillar in maintaining national stability, as the supply of certain commodities often depends on the dynamics of international relations. Through economic diplomacy, Indonesia has established strategic cooperation with Palestine, manifested through special trade policies regarding dates. This study aims to analyse the influence of import volume, international prices, and bilateral relations policies on the supply of dates in Indonesia during the observation period of 2013–2024. The methods used in this study include quantitative analysis employing the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach and a structural break test to detect fundamental changes in the data. The results indicate that, simultaneously, import volume, international prices, and bilateral relations have a significant impact on the supply of dates in Indonesia. Partially, the international price variable has a positive and significant effect on supply in the short term, while bilateral relations policies through import duty exemptions have a positive but statistically insignificant effect on long-term supply stability. These findings indicate that although diplomatic policies are capable of opening market access, domestic supply stability remains highly vulnerable to global price fluctuations. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize trade policy instruments and strengthen more comprehensive bilateral cooperation to ensure the sustainability of the national food supply.

Abstract

This article discusses statistical and econometric analysis in economic research through a literature review on the selection of regression methods, tests of classical assumptions, and the application of panel data in development and labour market studies. This review demonstrates that the choice of regression method must be tailored to the characteristics of the data and the research objectives in order to ensure that the results of the analysis are more accurate and reliable. Classical assumption tests play a vital role in ensuring that regression models meet statistical requirements, thereby ensuring that the resulting estimates are valid and efficient. Furthermore, panel data is considered highly relevant in development and labour market research as it is capable of capturing dynamics across regions and over time simultaneously. Based on a review of the existing literature, panel data has been shown to offer greater flexibility in analysing complex and heterogeneous economic phenomena. Consequently, an understanding of regression methods, classical assumption testing, and the use of panel data forms a vital foundation for producing high-quality economic research that is useful for policy formulation.

Abstract

The digital banking revolution has brought about fundamental changes in the way people access financial services, including amongst university students, a demographic group with a high rate of technology adoption. This study aims to analyse the impact of using the Livin’ by Mandiri app on the perceived ease of access to financial services among students on the Management Programme at the State University of Medan, intake year 2025. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey design, involving 120 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The independent variables in this study included ease of use of the interface, system reliability, completeness of service features, and transaction security, whilst the dependent variable was the ease of financial services, measured based on user perceptions. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS version 26 software. The results indicate that, taken together, all independent variables have a significant effect on the ease of financial services (F = 47.83; p < 0.01). When analysed individually, ease of use of the interface makes the largest contribution (β = 0.421; p < 0.01), followed by service feature completeness (β = 0.318; p < 0.01), transaction security (β = 0.276; p < 0.05), and system reliability (β = 0.201; p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.743 indicates that 74.3% of the variation in the ease of financial services can be explained by these four variables. The findings of this study have important implications for the development of digital banking services tailored to the needs of the student segment.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the influence of content marketing, influencer marketing and online customer reviews on purchasing decisions for Whitelab skincare products in Batam, both individually and collectively. This study employed a quantitative method using multiple linear regression analysis. The sample consisted of 100 respondents, determined using Lemeshow’s formula, through purposive sampling and non-probability sampling methods. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires and subsequently analysed using SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that, when analysed partially, Content Marketing has a positive and significant effect on the Purchase Decision with a calculated t-value of 2.478 and a significance level of 0.015; Influencer Marketing has a positive and significant effect on the Purchase Decision with a calculated t-value of 5.890 and a significance level of <0.001; whilst Online Customer Reviews do not have a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decisions, with a t-value of 30.079 and a significance level of <0.001. The R-squared value of 0.485 indicates that these three variables collectively explain 48.5% of the variation in Purchase Decisions, whilst the adjusted R-squared value of 0.468 indicates that the remaining 53.2% is explained by other factors outside the scope of this research model.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a significant role in supporting economic growth, particularly in the rapidly growing culinary sector. One MSME with strong development potential is Nimels Kitchen, a food and beverage business located in Surabaya that specializes in brownies, cakes, and cookies. Despite offering high-quality products and holding halal certification, Nimels Kitchen still faces several challenges, particularly in digital marketing. The business has not fully optimized social media as a promotional platform, its brand awareness remains relatively low, and its ordering system still relies on a pre-order model. This community assistance program aimed to strengthen Nimels Kitchen’s digital marketing strategy through a participatory approach involving field observations, semi-structured interviews, SWOT analysis, and the implementation of solutions tailored to the partner’s needs. The program included the development of a Linktree integrated with WhatsApp Business, the creation of a digital product catalog, product photography training, and recommendations for Instagram Reels and TikTok content strategies. The results indicate that Nimels Kitchen’s digital promotional media became more organized, product information became easier for customers to access, and the business owner gained a better understanding of the importance of digital marketing in business development. Although the impact on sales growth could not yet be measured due to the relatively short implementation period, the program successfully established a stronger digital marketing foundation that is expected to expand market reach, enhance brand awareness, and support the long-term sustainability of the business.

Abstract

Data diperoleh dari UN Comtrade, World Bank, Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Trade Organization (WTO), dan Bank Indonesia.

Abstract

This article discusses digital marketing strategies based on artificial intelligence (AI) and content personalisation to enhance customer engagement in the Gen Z era. This study is motivated by changes in the behaviour of young consumers, who are becoming increasingly selective, critical and responsive to digital content that is relevant, authentic and interactive. This research employs a literature review method, examining various academic sources relating to AI in digital marketing, content personalisation, and the behavioural characteristics of Gen Z. The findings indicate that AI plays a crucial role in consumer data analysis, marketing automation, content recommendations, and real-time interactions, whilst content personalisation strengthens the emotional connection between brands and their audience. The combination of these two approaches has proven capable of enhancing customer engagement through content that is more relevant, targeted and tailored to the preferences of the younger generation. However, the implementation of this strategy still requires attention to ethical considerations, data privacy and transparency regarding the use of technology. Consequently, AI-based digital marketing and content personalisation represent a strategic approach to building stronger and more sustainable customer engagement in the Gen Z era.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia has undergone significant curricular transformations over the past two decades, ranging from the 2004 Competency-Based Curriculum (KBK), the 2006 School-Based Curriculum (KTSP), the 2013 Curriculum, to the 2022 Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to analyse the evolution of the education curriculum in Indonesia and its impact on the quality of learning from 2004 to 2024 using a literature review method with a descriptive qualitative approach. The research findings indicate that each curriculum change has introduced a new paradigm: shifting from teacher-centred to student-centred learning, from a focus on subject mastery to the development of competencies, and from national standardisation to flexibility and differentiation in learning. The positive impact of these changes is evident in the increased emphasis on critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration, and character development through the Pancasila Student Profile. However, implementation faces significant challenges, including uneven teacher readiness, disparities in facilities between regions, an increased administrative burden on teachers, and instability in the education system due to overly frequent changes. Consequently, curriculum changes alone are insufficient to significantly improve the quality of education, as factors such as teacher quality and regional disparities have a greater influence on learning outcomes. This study concludes that the successful implementation of the curriculum requires holistic systemic improvements, including the continuous enhancement of teacher competencies, the equitable distribution of educational infrastructure and resources, and the support of a strong educational ecosystem.

Abstract

The changing dynamics of work in the digital era have blurred the boundaries between working time and personal time, particularly in the banking industry, which is characterized by high job demands and working hours that frequently exceed formal regulations. This study aims to explore the perceptions and experiences of Generation Z and Millennials regarding their professional and personal well-being within the context of intensive and often demanding work environments. Using a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with young employees from several banking institutions, this study identified various factors influencing their well-being, including workload, organizational culture, organizational support, and expectations for flexibility and meaningful work. The findings indicate that the majority of respondents experience difficulties in maintaining work-life balance due to excessive workloads and the absence of clear boundaries between working and personal time. Although most respondents appreciate the career stability and financial benefits offered by the banking industry, they also emphasize the importance of mental health, adequate rest, and recognition of personal needs as integral components of overall well-being. Therefore, this study recommends that banking institutions develop more adaptive human resource management strategies that align with the values and needs of younger generations, including flexible work arrangements, mental health support, and a more humane organizational culture. This study is expected to contribute to a better understanding of the well-being landscape of younger generations in the financial sector while serving as a reference for formulating policies that promote workforce sustainability.
