Abstract

Medical disputes often arise from disagreements in healthcare services involving medical personnel, such as doctors and nurses, which may lead to patient injuries or death. Article 87 of Law No. 30 of 2014 provides a legal basis for courts to annul administrative decisions that are legally flawed or involve abuse of authority, thereby protecting medical personnel from unfair sanctions. This study employs a normative method with a statutory approach and finds that: 1) Article 87 offers significant legal protection for medical personnel; 2) This article promotes transparency and accountability in administrative decisions within the healthcare sector; 3) The implementation of Article 87 also safeguards patients' rights by ensuring decisions are examined fairly and transparently; 4) The application of Article 87 principles contributes to improving the quality of healthcare services by encouraging objective and professional administrative decisions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini secara khusus menelaah pengaruh gaya bahasa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru di SMA Negeri 1 Maluku Tengah. Menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah mengadopsi tiga pola komunikasi utama—fleksibel-kontekstual, tegas-konstruktif, dan motivasional—yang berkontribusi langsung terhadap kinerja guru. Gaya komunikasi yang adaptif memudahkan penyampaian pesan sesuai situasi, sementara kritik yang disampaikan secara konstruktif mampu memotivasi guru untuk memperbaiki kinerja tanpa menimbulkan tekanan psikologis. Pemberian pujian, apresiasi verbal, dan arahan yang jelas terbukti meningkatkan semangat kerja, kedisiplinan, serta partisipasi aktif guru dalam tugas profesional. Validasi melalui triangulasi data memperkuat korelasi positif antara gaya bahasa kepala sekolah dan peningkatan kinerja guru, baik dalam aspek teknis mengajar maupun hubungan interpersonal di sekolah. Meskipun terdapat tantangan dalam keterbukaan komunikasi strategis, hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan pola komunikasi partisipatif dan empatik sebagai strategi utama dalam membangun budaya kolaboratif dan mendukung peningkatan kinerja guru secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the impact of organizational culture and competence, as measured by work discipline, on employee performance. The population of this study comprised all ASN employees of the PPPA-PPKB Service of Jembrana Regency. The respondents were determined using probability sampling methods, with a total of 43 respondents included in the study. The research analysis technique employed was a research hypothesis test using path analysis. The findings of the analysis indicated that organizational culture and competence exerted a positive and significant influence on employee work discipline at the PPPA-PPKB Service in Jembrana Regency. Furthermore, organizational culture, competence, and work discipline demonstrated a positive and significant impact on employee performance at the PPPA-PPKB Service in Jembrana Regency. Employee work discipline functioned as a mediating variable in the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance at the PPPA-PPKB Service of Jembrana Regency. Similarly, employee performance functioned as a mediating variable in the relationship between organizational culture and employee work discipline at the PPPA-PPKB Service of Jembrana Regency. The hypothesis of this research is that the head of the PPPA-PPKB Service of Jembrana Regency is expected to prioritize organizational culture, enhance employee competence through seminars or training, and improve employee work discipline to achieve optimal performance targets. This, in turn, will enable the realization of the vision and mission that have been set.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of workload and competence on employee performance, using satisfaction as an intervening variable. The population was 186 nurses and midwives working in the inpatient installation room of RSU Negara. A sample of 65 was taken using proportional random sampling. Data analysis techniques included validity test analysis, reliability, classical assumptions, and path analysis. The results showed that workload had a negative and significant effect on employee job satisfaction and performance; competence had a significant positive effect on employee job satisfaction and performance; job satisfaction had a significant positive effect on employee performance; workload had a negative effect on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable at RSU Negara. These results showed that job satisfaction could not be an intervening variable on the effect of workload on employee performance at RSU Negara. Competence had a positive effect on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable at RSU Negara. These results showed that job satisfaction could be an intervening variable on the effect of competence on employee performance at RSU Negara. The research suggests that management at RSU Negara can reduce workload, improve competence, and increase employee job satisfaction to improve employee performance.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of storytelling training in enhancing the speaking skills of first-year students in the English Education Program at Universitas Negeri Makassar. The research was motivated by a survey of senior students, which revealed that 15.8% were still at the A1 level and 35.3% at the A2 level of the CEFR, indicating persistent challenges in speaking confidence and performance, particularly in formal academic contexts. The study involved 14 participants selected randomly to represent each first-year class. Data were collected through a post-training perception survey using closed-ended questionnaires covering aspects of fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, comprehension, clarity, and speaking confidence. The results showed that all participants perceived improvements in their speaking abilities, with the highest agreement (100%) observed in vocabulary, comprehension, and confidence, followed by pronunciation (92.9%), clarity (92.9%), and fluency (85.7%). These findings suggest that storytelling can serve as an effective strategy for improving both the linguistic and affective aspects of speaking in EFL contexts. The study concludes that storytelling is a valuable pedagogical tool that should be integrated into the early stages of English language teacher education.

Abstract

The study investigates the factors influencing consumer decisions and the impact of digital marketing on Instagram for Cafe Pyur For You's marketing strategy. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with observation and interviews, the study finds that Instagram plays a significant role in attracting initial interest from visitors to Café Pyur for You. Many customers discover the café through content on the Explore feature, which drives visits due to curiosity, peer influence, and the desire to relax. Interaction with the content occurs fairly frequently, though it is still dominated by liking and sharing activities, particularly for promotional event content. Several factors influencing consumer decisions include promotions, testimonials, product quality, popularity, and price. Among all these factors, promotions and popularity have the strongest influence. A combination of creative content, active promotions, and authentic experiences is key to attracting interest and building customer loyalty.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the influence of Knowledge Sharing, Work Motivation, Work Environment, and Job Satisfaction upon Employee Performance at the Public Works, Water Resources, and Spatial Planning Agency of Central Java Province. The research sample consisted of 108 staff members, who were chosen utilizing a purposive sampling technique. Information collected via questionnaires underwent analysis through the application of a multiple linear regression model. Results from the analysis reveal that, individually, Knowledge Sharing, Work Environment, and Job Satisfaction have a positive and significant influence on Employee Performance, whereas Work Motivation did not demonstrate a significant impact. When assessed together, the four variables show a significant effect on Employee Performance, yielding a coefficient of determination valued at 48.8%, which illustrates the extent to which these independent variables can account for variations in performance. This study recommends that the Agency maintain a conducive work environment and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and job satisfaction to elevate employee performance. Although not statistically significant, sustaining work motivation is still deemed crucial for preserving morale in routine task execution.

Abstract

This study aims to portray the readiness of junior high school teachers in Makassar City to implement deep learning within the Merdeka Curriculum and to identify the strongest and weakest dimensions of their readiness. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, involving approximately 70 teachers from three representative schools selected through proportional random sampling. The instrument used was a five-point Likert questionnaire covering five dimensions of readiness: conceptual understanding, lesson planning, classroom implementation, attitude and motivation, and environmental support. The findings revealed an overall mean readiness score of 3.62, which falls into the “ready” category, with 12% of teachers categorized as very ready, 58% ready, 26% moderately ready, and 4% less ready. The strongest dimension was attitude and motivation (mean 4.02), while the weakest dimensions were environmental support (3.35) and classroom implementation (3.41). These results highlight the need for stronger institutional support, adequate facilities, and practical mentoring to ensure that deep learning can be effectively and sustainably implemented in schools.

Abstract

Female inmates often face intense emotional stress due to guilt, shame, and social stigma for the actions they have committed. Continuous emotional stress will affect the psychological well-being of inmates. If inmates have poor psychological well-being, it will affect their productivity. Psychological well-being in inmates can be improved by applying the concept of self-forgiveness. This study aimed to determine the relationship between self-forgiveness and psychological well-being in female inmates. This study is a quantitative correlative study with a cross-sectional approach. The sample used was 45 female inmates selected using the total sampling method. The independent variable in this study is self-forgiveness, and the dependent variable is psychological well-being. The instruments used were the Heartland Forgiveness Scale (HFS) and Psychological Well-Being Scale (PWBS) questionnaires. The collected data were then analyzed using Spearman Rank in IBM SPSS Statistics v.26. The respondents' levels of self-forgiveness and psychological well-being and 27 (60.0%) respondents of the Spearman Rank analysis showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.045 (<0.05), meaning there is a significant relationship between self-forgiveness and psychological well-being in female inmates in Banyuwangi Prison. The results of this study have important implications for prisoner rehabilitation programs. Interventions focusing on increasing self-forgiveness, such as gratitude or empathy-based counseling and therapy, can help inmates achieve better psychological well-being.

Abstract

This study examined the mechanism for post conflict peacebuilding of the amnesty programme in the Niger Delta, with emphasis on the challenges faced in attaining sustainable peace and development in Ondo state of the region. Both primary and secondary means of data collection were adopted for the study. The primary source included the use of key informant interview while the secondary data included published text books, journals and online materials. Atlas Ti was used to analyze data collected for more qualitative insight into the findings. Findings revealed that the approach is not effective, because militants were disarmed without proper mobilization and empowerment process. Other challenges faced by the amnesty programme which are so fundamental to post conflict peacebuilding ranged from inability of the government to properly mobilized and empowered ex-combatants after acquiring the basic education or skills, corruption, political influence to lack of proper monitoring. More so, the program did not include all those involved in the Niger Delta struggle and it was perceived by residents of the region as having some political undertone. In sum, the program is yet to achieve post conflict peace building in Ondo state of the region as expected.
