DE_JOURNAL (Dharmas Education Journal) merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Dharmas Indonesia, dan sebagai sarana publikasi hasil penelitian serta berbagi perkembangan ilmu tentang pendidikan. Jurnal ini memuat artikel yang belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya yang berupa artikel hasil penelitian ataupun penelitian terapan, artikel telaah yang berkaitan dengan perkembangan ilmu pendidikan. Jurnal ini terbit 2 kali dalam setahun yaitu bulan Juni dan Desember. DE_JOURNAL merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang berisi tentang hasil penelitian, kajian mendalam, gagasan atau inovasi pada bidang ilmu pendidikan. Gagasan yang berasal dari para peneliti yang berada pada sektor pendidikan diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif pada dunia pendidikan. Abstract

This research examines the implementation of the Reading Corner program as part of the School Literacy Movement to improve students' reading abilities. Reading literacy activity index data on a national scale, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province occupies 31st position out of 34 provinces in Indonesia. These results are answered by the phenomenon in the field, there are still elementary school students who are not yet fluent in reading. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of reading corners to improve elementary school students' reading literacy. Qualitative research uses observation, interviews, documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively. The research results show that the Reading Corner plays a positive role in increasing students' access to reading materials and creating an environment that supports literacy culture. However, several obstacles were also found, such as limited book collections and a lack of active participation from all school members. This research provides recommendations for developing a more effective Reading Corner program in supporting the improvement of students' reading abilities. The results of the study on the implementation of the reading corner showed that 73% of students read fluently, 27% had difficulty. The implementation of the reading corner is successful but needs optimization.

Abstract

This research aims to see the effect The Pictorial Riddles Method on student writing ability to write descriptive paragraphs in the first semester students at HKBP Nommensen University of Pematangsiantar. In each course: Paragraph Writing, many students can not start writing descriptive sentences where most do not know how to start them due to lack of vocabulary and difficulty in organizing ideas into effective paragraph structures. Therefore, this experimental research was conducted to determine the effect of The Pictorial Riddles Method on students' writing abilities. This study uses a quasi-experimental method using pre-test and post-test in the experimental and control groups, with a quantitative research design. The research sample taken was 2 classes consisting of 60 students, where PI. A2 consist of 30 students as an experimental class, and PI. A1 consist of 30 students as a control class. The results of this study found that the mean post-test of the experimental group was 78.2 and the mean of the control class was 61.3. This study also found that the t-test result was higher than the t-table, which was 3.2>1.67 at df: 60 and the significance level was 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (ha) was accepted. So it can be concluded that the Pictorial Riddle Method has an effect on the ability to write descriptive texts for students in the first semester at  HKBP Nommnsensen University of Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini, yakni 1) menjelaskan wujud kesantunan imperatif bahasa Wakatobi dialek Kaledupa; 2) menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesantunan imperatif bahasa Wakatobi dialek Kaledupa. Jenis penelitian ini , yakni deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pragmatik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi dan teknik pengumpulan datanya, yakni teknik partisipatif moderat, rekam, dan catat.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) wujud kesantunan imperatif BWDK, antara lain (a) panjang pendek tuturan yang meliputi tuturan dengan kuantitas konstituen katanya panjang dan konstituen katanya pendek; (b) urutan tutur, di mana tingkat/kadar kesantunan imperatif BWDK yang paling tinggi, jika tuturan nonimperatif mendahului tuturan imperatifnya; (c) intonasi tuturan dan isyarat kinesik. Kadar kesantunan imperatif BWDK dalam aspek intonasi dominan tergolong bernada tinggi (bersuara keras), untuk itu perlu diperhatikan dengan kinesik yang menyertai tuturan si penutur; (d) penggunaan ungkapan penanda kesantunan imperatif BWDK, yaitu dalam wujud imperatif perintah, permintaaan, permohonan, suruhan, ajakan, persilaan, desakan, imbauan, larangan, izin, ajakan, mengizinkan, harapan, dan anjuran. 2) faktor yang mempengaruhi kesantunan imperatif bahasa Wakatobi dialek Kaledupa, yakni kekuasaan (power), status sosial, hubungan kekerabatan, hubungan sosial, keanggotaan dalam grup, gender, situasi tutur, pranata adat, budaya, ketidaktegasan.

Abstract

This study aims to improve oral communication skills using the jigsaw type cooperative learning model. Indicators of oral communication skills include being able to listen, convey messages clearly and the interlocutor can understand the message conveyed with a measuring tool in the form of observation. The steps of implementing jigsaw include providing an explanation of the scope of the material content, dividing students into several small groups called the original group, then asking students to gather into several new groups called expert groups to explore certain material content, then returning to the initial group to share information obtained in the expert group. The research subjects totaled 96 people with the material content provided was related to the theory of Multiple Intelligences. The research method used Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a cyclical process of planning, action, observation, and reflection with a total of 2 cycles. The results found were an increase in the number of good categories in all indicators and a drastic decrease in the category of less in the three indicators. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model can improve oral communication skills.

Abstract

Globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi menuntut peningkatan kualitas pendidikan, khususnya dalam penguasaan bahasa asing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara (Sprechen) level A1 pada mahasiswa semester I program studi Bahasa Jerman di FKIP Universitas HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus deskriptif, dengan partisipan sebanyak 30 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi selama satu semester dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL secara signifikan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri, keterampilan kolaboratif, kreativitas, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam berbicara bahasa Jerman. Mahasiswa menunjukkan respon positif terhadap metode PBL, merasa lebih terlibat dan termotivasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa PBL adalah metode yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Jerman level A1 dan merekomendasikan penerapannya secara lebih luas dalam kurikulum bahasa asing

Abstract

Pembelajaran kolaboratif GEINRE (Group Investigation Revisi) menawarkan suatu persaingan yang manusiawi dan menghargai adanya keberagaman. Karakter atau perilaku harus dimulai dari dini dimulai dan dideteksi yakni pembelajaran yang bersifat kolaboratif dan mengakui keberadaan yang saling terhubung dari satu pribadi ke pribadi yang lain yang menekankan aspek kerjasama serta memiliki karakter dalam kehidupan sehari-harinya. Urgensi penelitian didasari dari adanya Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar yang menekan pada pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik yakni pada kebutuhan dan minat peserta didik dengan memperhatikan konten, proses, produk, pendidik (guru atau dosen), dapat menyesuaikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan penilaian proses pembelajaran agar kesemua tahapan proses dapat memenuhi kebutuhan belajar peserta didik dan membantu kesuksesan pembelajaran mereka. Artinya, Ketika pembelajaran berpusat kepada peserta didik dibutuhkan sebuah kolaboratif sehingga peserta didik aktif dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian untuk menghasilkan sebuah perangkat pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dosen dalam pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development R&D). Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diadaptasi dari model pengembangan 4-D (four D Model). Hasil Tanggapan Responden Terhadap Kelayakan Isi/Materi diperoleh 78%, Tanggapan Responden Terhadap Komponen Kebahasaan sebesar 73%, Tanggapan Responden Terhadap Penyajian Materi 77%, Tanggapan Responden Terhadap Komponen Grafika 71% menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Konsep Dasar Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia dapat meningkatkan pemahaman materi, mengembangkan keterampilan sosial, meningkatkan motivasi belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis, meningkatkan kreativitas, inovasi dan keterampilan manajemen waktu.

Abstract

Student management is an effort made to organize and condition various things related to student activities. This research aims to examine student management at Buwun 1 State Elementary School (SDN). Sekotong District, West Lombok. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation studies. Meanwhile, technical data analysis uses data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. Research respondents include school principals, teachers, students and other relevant stakeholders. The research results show that student management at SDN 1 Buwun Sekotong District already has an adequate basic structure, but still requires improvement in various aspects, including planning, admissions, orientation, organizing learning activities, attendance, discipline, grouping, coaching, evaluation, curriculum implementation, participation and student graduation rates.

Abstract

Tingkat ketepatan waktu kelulusan mahasiswa merupakan tolak ukur yang memberikan gambaran sejauh mana mahasiswa berhasil menyelesaikan studi yang diambilnya di suatu perguruan tinggi. Hanya 3,68% mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika angkatan 2017 yang menyelesaikan studi tepat waktu dan hanya 2,08% mahasiswa angkatan 2019 yang menyelesaikan studi tepat waktu. Rendahnya tingkat ketepatan waktu kelulusan akibatnya dapat mempengaruhi kualitas mahasiswa, derajat kelulusan mahasiswa itu sendiri dan juga akreditasi jurusan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode klasifikasi algoritma Naïve Bayes untuk mengklasifikasikan waktu kelulusan siswa. Metode penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan pedoman prosedur penambangan data CRISP-DM (Cross Industry Standard Process Model for Data Mining). Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik pengolahan data yang digunakan untuk mengklasifikasikan waktu kelulusan mahasiswa adalah dengan menggunakan metode klasifikasi data mining yaitu algoritma Naïve Bayes yang dibantu oleh RapidMiner Studio Versi 10.1. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh tingkat akurasi sebesar 75% sehingga data mining dengan model klasifikasi menggunakan algoritma Naïve Bayes efektif digunakan untuk mengklasifikasikan ketepatan waktu kelulusan siswa.

Abstract

The research aims to conduct a SWOT analysis of the Al-Hamidy Kebon Talo Islamic Boarding School after the Islamic Boarding School Law in West Lombok. SWOT analysis was carried out to analyze the opportunities and threats faced by the Al Hamidy Islamic boarding school after the implementation of the Islamic Boarding School Law. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation studies. Meanwhile, technical data analysis uses data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. Research respondents included Islamic boarding school leaders, teachers, students and other relevant stakeholders. The research results show that ( 1) Al-Hamidy Islamic Boarding School has several opportunities, including the implementation of the Islamic Boarding School Law opens up new opportunities for Islamic boarding schools to obtain assistance and support from the government as well as increasing accreditation and official recognition of Islamic boarding schools . (2) Al-Hamidy Islamic Boarding School has several threats, such as competition with other educational institutions, changes in regulations, and the potential influence of extremist understandings of Islam

Abstract

By using the results from the ELSA Speak application, the pronunciation skills of second-year English majors at Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan were examined. The ELSA Speak Application was utilized to determine the kinds of pronunciation faults made by second-year students at the English Department of FKIP Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan. This study used a descriptive qualitative research design. The ELSA Speak Application and documentation were used to collect data from students' pronunciation diagnoses. Twenty students were selected as the sample, with the population of the study consisting of the students in the English Department at FKIP Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan. The following are the conclusions: The majority of the sample found that they would "try again" and "almost correct”. Most of the ‘try again’ categories occurred when students pronounced words in which the sounds were not familiar in the student’s native language which is Bahasa Indonesia, such as /tʃ/. The other words with the ‘try again’ category are found when students pronounce words with subtle sounds and are called because the sound produced is close to a predictable sound so it can be concluded that every word can be understood such as /ŋ/, /v/. The other category of ‘almost correct’ is found in the lateral consonant /l/ and consonant cluster /ft/.
