DE_JOURNAL (Dharmas Education Journal) merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Dharmas Indonesia, dan sebagai sarana publikasi hasil penelitian serta berbagi perkembangan ilmu tentang pendidikan. Jurnal ini memuat artikel yang belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya yang berupa artikel hasil penelitian ataupun penelitian terapan, artikel telaah yang berkaitan dengan perkembangan ilmu pendidikan. DE_JOURNAL merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang berisi tentang hasil penelitian, kajian mendalam, gagasan atau inovasi pada bidang ilmu pendidikan. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see the effectiveness of learning theory courses through the application of Team Based Learning. This departs from the tendency of students to choose practical courses over theoretical courses, resulting in a lack of theoretical knowledge. There needs to be a strategy to make theoretical courses more interesting for students. So the Team Based Learning learning model is applied to increase learning effectiveness in theoretical courses. Learning effectiveness is a quality standard of education as measured by the achievement of learning objectives. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method with a class action approach through the application of the Team Based Learning model. In this learning model, students work on projects with documentary film results. This research focuses on observations of two groups in the socio-anthropology of art course class of the Jambi University Sendratasik Study Program. In this Team Based Learning model, the lecture is divided into four stages. Namely the theoretical introduction, field work, making scripts, and the editing process. This study found that the application of the Team Based Learning model was able to increase student effectiveness in the socio-anthropology of art theory course.

Abstract

Existing research is part of a structural form of speech that will be adapted to communication aimed directly at events. Dieksi is a phenomenal part of linguistics with the aim of providing expressions of meaning in the context. The aim of the research is to describe the types of dieksis from the data by means of descriptions found in the Simalem Deman folklore. The focus of this research is to identify variations in existence so that the amount of data that is dominant in literary works is known. Furthermore, the method used is descriptive qualitative with reading and note-taking techniques. Based on research on various types of diexis, personal deixis was found with a total of 599 data, place deixis with a total of 43 data, time deixis with a total of 25 data found, discourse diexis found with a total of 146, and then social deixis with a total of 432 data.

Abstract

One of the big mistakes in the character formation process is assuming that character formation must be taught in formal educational institutions. As a result, people outside formal educational institutions tend not to care or do not want to support the formation of this character. There are many events that shouldn't happen at school, starting from making fun of friends, clapping, calling friends by their parents' names, not being chosen when forming groups, not being invited to play or go to the canteen together, isolating, inciting, intimidation, oppression, no one is even willing to sit at the same table with the victim. The likelihood of bullying actually occurring depends on many factors including the psychological state of the bully, possible support or cooperation from other group members, and the victim's reaction. As technology develops, comics are starting to innovate, from initially being in physical book form to digital form. Using digital comics as a learning medium is one learning innovation that can be implemented. Digital comics can be a combination of text, images and learning videos that provide audio and visual simulations that increase students' enthusiasm for learning. The use of this learning media can change the learning process in the classroom. Development of Comic-Based Learning Media to Increase Awareness of the Impact of Bullying on Self Esteem using research and development methods. Research and development is a research method used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products. In this research, the product that will be produced is a digital comic entitled "bullying doesn't make you cool" to increase awareness of the impact of bullying on elementary school students' self-esteem. The digital comic-based learning media that was developed was implemented with 64 class IV students. The initial field trial, the subjects numbering 25 students from Kanisius Wonogiri Elementary School, showed a feasibility percentage result for digital comic-based learning media of 91.2%, including the very feasible category and an effectiveness result of 0.78, including the high category. A large-scale field test with 39 students from the Unggulan Nawa Kartika Islamic Elementary School showed that the results of the feasibility percentage for digital comic-based learning media were 93%, and the effectiveness results were 0.953 indicating the high category. This research concludes that the development of digital comic-based learning media is an effective approach to increasing awareness of the impact of bullying on elementary school students' self-esteem. Through the use of digital comics, students can more easily understand complex concepts regarding bullying and its impact on self-esteem. This is reflected in students' positive responses to the use of this media in learning. The research results also show that the use of digital comics can increase students' information retention. Through the visual and narrative experiences presented in comics, students tend to remember the information provided more easily. This can help them to better understand and internalize concepts related to bullying and self-esteem.

Abstract

Ditengah problematika yang dirasakan oleh satuan pendidikan, pada tahun 2020 dunia dihadapkan dengan tantangan baru yakni industri 4.0 atau era baru industri yang biasa disebut dengan data technology. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian yang mengembangkan suatu modul digital interaktif melalui metode knowshare dengan harapan mampu mendorong keterampilan numerasi mahasiswa sehingga mampu mendukung program merdeka belajar. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tahapan proses pengembangan media modul digital interaktif melalui metode knowshare. Penelitian ini menghasilkan produk modul digital interaktif melalui metode knowshare yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran oleh mahasiswa. Penelitian pengembangan ini berdasarkan dari cara pengembangan Borg and Gall, dan hanya dilakukan sampai lima tahap, yakni: 1) Research and information collecting (mencari dan mengumpulkan data); 2) Planning (perencanaan); 3) Develop preliminary form of product (mengembangkan bentuk produk awal); 4) Preliminary field testing (uji coba lapangan awal); dan 5) Main product revision (revisi hasil uji coba lapangan awal). Metode pengumpulan data berupa skala likert digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Validasi media dilakukan oleh ahli metode knowshare dan satu ahli media pembelajaran. Luaran wajib ditargetkan adalah Jurnal Nasional Terakreditasi Peringkat 1-6. Kualitas produk meliputi aspek (1) kevalidan, yakni sebesar 83, 30% yakni kategori sangat valid untuk materi dan 94,44% yakni kategori sangat valid untuk media; (2) kepraktisan, yakni sebesar 84,23% yang berarti sangat praktis; dan (3) keefektifan, yakni 80% yang berarti efektif. Hasilnya adalah modul pembelajaran digital interaktif ini dilayak dimanfaatkan dalam perkuliahan matakuliah struktur aljabar dan matematika diskrit.

Abstract

This study is based on the low numeracy levels of elementary school students observed and interviewed during the implementation of the sixth cohort of the Teaching Campus program. This situation is suspected to be due to suboptimal numeracy activities and the need for more utilization of authentic learning resources. The study aims to improve numeracy using clock media for elementary school students. This research employs a qualitative method, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of implementing clock media show that 89% of students have understood the concept of time, while 11% still need to. The increase before and after the implementation of clock media is 66%. This significant improvement emphasizes the importance of using visual and interactive media to enhance the numeracy of elementary school students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning and Project Based Learning models in terms of critical thinking skills in grade 4 elementary school science subjects. This research was carried out in the 4th grade at Gugus Gajah Mada Elementary School. The subjects in this research were SDN Dukuh 03 with 26 students, SDN Dukuh 05 with 20 students, and SDN Kecandran 01 with 28 students. The type of research design is a quasi-experimental Nonequivalent Control Group design. The data collection instrument uses a critical thinking skills rubric. Hypothesis testing is carried out using the t-test. Based on the results of data analysis, there are significant differences between experimental group 1 which applies the PBL model and experimental group 2 which applies the PjBl model. The prerequisite test results show that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous. The difference in the average value of critical thinking skills in the Problem Based Learning model is 74 and the Project Based Learning model is 79.92. So it can be interpreted that the Project Based Learning model is more effective than the Problem Based Learning model in terms of critical thinking abilities. The final results of calculations using the t test obtained a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.002 < 0.05, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, so there is a difference between the use of Problem Based Learning and Project Based Learning models in terms of critical thinking skills in science subjects. 4th grade elementary school.

Abstract

This research aims to understand how teachers implement classroom management principles in the teaching and learning process at SMKN 10 Bungo and why teachers implement these principles in their students' teaching and learning processes. practice. This type of research is qualitative research, where the data source is the result of classroom observations and interviews. The subjects of this research were three English teachers in grades ten, eleven and twelve. Collected data are grouped according to the research objective, then described and analyzed to get actual data. Research results show that not all English teachers at SMKN 10 Bungo fully apply the principles of classroom management in the teaching and learning process at 3 stages before the activity, during the activity and after the activity. Almost all classroom management principles are implemented during operation. Before and after the activity, teachers only followed three principles of classroom management: enthusiasm, enthusiasm, emphasizing positive things and promoting self-discipline. Research results also find out the reasons why teachers apply classroom management principles, specifically to increase student motivation and improve learning outcomes. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that classroom management principles have not been fully implemented by English teachers at SMKN 10 Bungo. Therefore, English teachers need to improve their knowledge of classroom management principles in teaching English. In the hope, this research can make a useful contribution to English teachers in education.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of the Reading Corner program as part of the School Literacy Movement to improve students' reading abilities. Reading literacy activity index data on a national scale, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province occupies 31st position out of 34 provinces in Indonesia. These results are answered by the phenomenon in the field, there are still elementary school students who are not yet fluent in reading. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of reading corners to improve elementary school students' reading literacy. Qualitative research uses observation, interviews, documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively. The research results show that the Reading Corner plays a positive role in increasing students' access to reading materials and creating an environment that supports literacy culture. However, several obstacles were also found, such as limited book collections and a lack of active participation from all school members. This research provides recommendations for developing a more effective Reading Corner program in supporting the improvement of students' reading abilities. The results of the study on the implementation of the reading corner showed that 73% of students read fluently, 27% had difficulty. The implementation of the reading corner is successful but needs optimization.

Abstract

This research aims to see the effect The Pictorial Riddles Method on student writing ability to write descriptive paragraphs in the first semester students at HKBP Nommensen University of Pematangsiantar. In each course: Paragraph Writing, many students can not start writing descriptive sentences where most do not know how to start them due to lack of vocabulary and difficulty in organizing ideas into effective paragraph structures. Therefore, this experimental research was conducted to determine the effect of The Pictorial Riddles Method on students' writing abilities. This study uses a quasi-experimental method using pre-test and post-test in the experimental and control groups, with a quantitative research design. The research sample taken was 2 classes consisting of 60 students, where PI. A2 consist of 30 students as an experimental class, and PI. A1 consist of 30 students as a control class. The results of this study found that the mean post-test of the experimental group was 78.2 and the mean of the control class was 61.3. This study also found that the t-test result was higher than the t-table, which was 3.2>1.67 at df: 60 and the significance level was 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (ha) was accepted. So it can be concluded that the Pictorial Riddle Method has an effect on the ability to write descriptive texts for students in the first semester at  HKBP Nommnsensen University of Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini, yakni 1) menjelaskan wujud kesantunan imperatif bahasa Wakatobi dialek Kaledupa; 2) menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesantunan imperatif bahasa Wakatobi dialek Kaledupa. Jenis penelitian ini , yakni deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pragmatik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi dan teknik pengumpulan datanya, yakni teknik partisipatif moderat, rekam, dan catat.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) wujud kesantunan imperatif BWDK, antara lain (a) panjang pendek tuturan yang meliputi tuturan dengan kuantitas konstituen katanya panjang dan konstituen katanya pendek; (b) urutan tutur, di mana tingkat/kadar kesantunan imperatif BWDK yang paling tinggi, jika tuturan nonimperatif mendahului tuturan imperatifnya; (c) intonasi tuturan dan isyarat kinesik. Kadar kesantunan imperatif BWDK dalam aspek intonasi dominan tergolong bernada tinggi (bersuara keras), untuk itu perlu diperhatikan dengan kinesik yang menyertai tuturan si penutur; (d) penggunaan ungkapan penanda kesantunan imperatif BWDK, yaitu dalam wujud imperatif perintah, permintaaan, permohonan, suruhan, ajakan, persilaan, desakan, imbauan, larangan, izin, ajakan, mengizinkan, harapan, dan anjuran. 2) faktor yang mempengaruhi kesantunan imperatif bahasa Wakatobi dialek Kaledupa, yakni kekuasaan (power), status sosial, hubungan kekerabatan, hubungan sosial, keanggotaan dalam grup, gender, situasi tutur, pranata adat, budaya, ketidaktegasan.
