Abstract

Globalization has influenced citizens' mindset, behavior, and attitudes, shifting traditional national values such as mutual cooperation, care, fairness, and mutual respect toward more individualistic and egocentric orientations. These changes pose a serious challenge to shaping national character, particularly among university students. This study aims to develop a Global Civics Learning Model Based on National Projects to strengthen students' character in embracing diversity. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4-D model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Data were analyzed using the Independent Sample T-Test to assess the model's effectiveness. The results indicate that the model has a very high level of validity, with content validation scoring an average of 94.72% and construct validation at 94.20%. Effectiveness testing revealed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups (sig. < 0.001), demonstrating the model’s effectiveness in enhancing students’ character related to global diversity. It is recommended that the model be applied more widely in civic education courses to cultivate national identity while promoting global citizenship values among students.

Abstract

This study investigates how an Islamic-based international school in Indonesia, Global Islamic School (GIS) Yogyakarta, forms globally minded young citizens through curricular and non-curricular initiatives. Amid the growing importance of global citizenship education (GCE) in the 21st century, the study explores how GIS integrates core global citizenship competencies into its educational vision, pedagogical design, and student development programs. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and classroom observations. Findings indicate that GIS utilizes a four-pillar model within the national curriculum plus framework to cultivate a generation of globally engaged Muslim youth. Additionally, extracurricular programs such as bilingual learning days, international competitions, and educational trips abroad provide meaningful spaces for students to develop global competencies in authentic contexts. This study contributes to the discourse on faith-based approaches to global citizenship education and offers implications for schools cultivating inclusive, ethical, and globally engaged young people.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the formation of ecological citizenship to overcome the problem of food wastage through the bioconversion of Black Soldier Fly maggots. The method used is a qualitative case study with observation, interview, and documentation data collection techniques, using triangulation analysis techniques. This study was conducted on three groups of informants: chicken noodle shops, fruit shops, and households in Ponorogo. The informants in this study were specifically informants who initially threw their waste directly into the trash and ended up in the Final Disposal Site, so that it became one with inorganic waste without further treatment. The results of the study show that the embodiment of the ecological citizenship model put forward by Dobson, namely anthropocentrism, is a reference for the analysis of ecological citizenship about the relationship between individuals who occupy the same ecological space determined by their ecological footprint, so that it can be an alternative if managed and used correctly with the proper handling techniques. The conclusion of this study shows that the obligation of ecological citizenship imposed on each individual can be realized through the processing of food waste produced by bioconversion using BSF maggots.

Abstract

The Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, launched in 2019, provides students opportunities to strengthen their professional competencies through direct engagement in the real world. Within this framework, civic engagement is essential, as it encourages students to actively participate in community-based activities that support their academics and social responsibilities. This study analyzes how students develop soft skills and teaching professionalism through MBKM activities. This qualitative descriptive study involved students of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Department at Medan State University, class of 2019–2021, who had participated in MBKM programs such as Kampus Mengajar (Teaching Campus), student exchange programs, and internships. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using an interactive model. The research findings indicate that civic engagement integrated into MBKM improves adaptability, leadership, communication, collaboration, and innovation, while instilling civic values and professional ethics. This study recommends systematically institutionalizing civic engagement in teacher education curricula to ensure holistic and sustainable outcomes.

Abstract

In the millennial era as it is now the utilization or use of social media seems to be a primary necessity. It is undeniable that the Internet network can resurface the issues between the right and the vanity. Many internet users are peddling their wares online such as accessories, clothing, and food. But the fact on the field is also a lot that uses social media to do activities that violate the norm, one of which is online prostitution. Indonesia with its Pancasila ideology wants all citizens to uphold the values contained in Pancasila. Please second aims to humanize human beings according to the dignity and the dignity to be a civilized person. The perpetrators of prostitution pretext that their activities are based on the injustices in life. Even they took refuge in human rights in the peddling of him. The study used case studies with qualitative methods to be able to uncover the veil of increasingly booming prostitution with various breakthroughs and find its way out so that the perpetrators aware that their activities are contrary to the fair and civilized value of humanity. One solution is to include the perpetrators of prostitution into religious schools.----------------Di era milenial seperti sekarang ini pemanfaatan atau penggunaan media sosial seolah menjadi kebutuhan primer. Tidak bisa dipungkiri bahwa jaringan internet mampu membiaskan persoalan antara yang hak dan yang batil. Banyak pengguna internet yang menjajakan barang dagangannya secara online seperti asesoris, pakaian, dan makanan. Akan tetapi fakta di lapangan banyak juga yang menggunakan media sosial untuk melakukan kegiatan yang melanggar norma, salah satunya adalah prostitusi online. Indonesia dengan ideologi pancasila-nya menginginkan semua warga negara menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam pancasila. Sila kedua bertujuan untuk memanusiakan manusia sesuai harkat dan martabatnya agar menjadi pribadi yang beradab. Para pelaku prostitusi berdalih bahwa kegiatan mereka didasari atas ketidakadilan dalam hidup. Bahkan mereka berlindung kepada hak asasi manusia di dalam menjajakan dirinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus dengan metode kualitatif agar mampu mengungkap tabir permasalahan prostitusi yang semakin menggeliat dengan berbagai terobosan baru dan mencari jalan keluarnya agar para pelaku prostitusi sadar bahwa kegiatan mereka bertentangan dengan nilai kemanusian yang adil dan beradab. Salah satu solusinya adalah memasukan para pelaku prostitusi ke dalam pesantren.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the form of Moodle web media for Civic Education learning in Senior High School and how it is used in learning. Based on previous research that some students need web-based learning media, it is necessary to determine the concept of the type of media and how the steps. This research is descriptive and this is done by literature review. The results of the study show that the concept of the model of media used in web-based media development is digital-based multimedia because the characteristics of Moodle's web media in it contain a combination of various media and connected with the internet network. Whereas the learning model is blended learning in the form of face-to-face mixed learning and e-learning in time and proportion of the use of mixed learning is flexible and online learning is used as a compliment.--------------Tulisan ini bertujuan menggambarkan bentuk media web Moodle untuk pembelajaran PPKn di Sekolah Menengan Atas serta bagaimana pemanfaatannya dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya bahwa beberapa siswa membutuhkan media pembelajaran berbasis web, maka perlu menentukan konsep jenis model media dan bagaimana langkah-langkahnya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dan hal ini dilakukan dengan kajian pustaka. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa konsep model media yang digunakan dalam pengembangan media berbasis web adalah multimedia berbasis digital karena karakteristik dari media web moodle ini di dalamnya berisi kombinasi dari berbagai media dan terhubng dengan jaringan internet. Sedangkan model pembelajarannya adalah blended learning yang berupa pembelajaran campuran tatap muka dan e-learning namu waktu dan porposi penggunaan pembelajaran campuran adalah bersifat fleksibel serta pembelajaran online digunakan sebagai pelengkap.

Abstract

This article is a study that discusses and examines the concept of qualitative research paradigms in the realm of Citizenship Education science which has been dominated by the tradition of positivistic. The conception of truth which is the subject of a paradigm is reviewed through the perspective of the philosophy of science, from the ontological, epistemological and axiological point of view using the method of literature review. Citizenship Education as a scientific discipline that studies humans as material for study today is still much influenced by positivistic traditions that are identical with numbers and statistics. Citizenship Education experiences an epistemological crisis in terms of theory, but in essence, Citizenship Education aims to create good citizens, so that the need for theory as a result of the tradition of paradigmatic thinking which emphasize qualitative approach is very crucial.---------------------- Artikel ini merupakan studi untuk memahami dan mengkaji konsep paradigma penelitian kualitatif dalam ranah keilmuan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan yang selama ini didominasi oleh tradisi positivistik. Konsepsi mengenai kebenaran yang menjadi bahasan paradigma ditinjau melalui sudut pandang filosofis ilmu pengetahuan, yakni dari segi ontologis, epistimologis dan aksiologis dengan menggunakan metode studi literatur. Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan sebagai disiplin ilmu yang mempelajari manusia sebagai bahan kajiannya saat ini masih banyak dipengaruhi tradisi positivistik yang identik dengan angka dan statistika. Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan mengalami krisis epistimologis dalam segi teori, padahal hakikatnya, Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan bertujuan untuk terwujudnya warga negara yang baik, sehingga kebutuhan teori sebagai hasil dari tradisi berpikir paradigmatik yang menekankan pendekatan kualitatif sangat krusial.

Abstract

As we know that many theories that explain citizenship education are seen from a wide range of perspectives, both about culture, economy, social, political, and religious stemming from the civility of the nation's cultural values. While pesantren is present as an educational institution that has a mission vision of moral presence (morality). These two entities have the same direction in shaping the personality of the nation. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze in-depth the optimization of pesantren in shaping the moral imperatives involved in citizenship education. Research methods using qualitative. The data collection technique was carried out by observation, documentation, and interview studies. The results obtained in this research are very constructive, namely Islamic boarding schools strengthening through formal, informal and non-formal education so that students in carrying out their daily life always apply morals that reflect the values of Pancasila and Islamic values as a nation with a fresh and religious community.-------------Seperti yang kita ketahui bahwa banyak teori-teori yang menjelaskan mengenai Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dipandang dari berbagai macam perspektif, baik berkenaan dengan budaya, ekonomi, sosial, politik, dan religius yang bersumber dari keadaban nilai-nilai budaya bangsa. Sedangkan pesantren hadir sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang mempunyai visi misi tentang keadaban moral (akhlak). Dua entitas ini punya arah yang sama dalam membentuk keperibadian bangsa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis secara mendalam mengenai optimalisasi pesantren dalam membentuk keadaban moral yang terintgrasi dalam pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian sangat kontruktif, yaitu pesantren melakukan penguatan melalui pendidikan formal, Informal dan nonformal, hingga santri dalam menjalankan kehidupan sehari-hari senantiasa menerapkan moral yang mencerminkan nilai Pancasila dan nilai Islam sebagai bangsa bernegaran dan ummat beragama.

Abstract

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in addition to law enforcement agencies in the scope of corruption, also has a role to carry out anti-corruption education through legal education. The implementation of legal education is carried out in educational institutions and the community. This article describes the specifics of public legal education by the KPK through the KPK's performance from various literary sources. The research method used is qualitative. This research was conducted with a literature study with qualitative data collection techniques in the form of literature study (literature). Meanwhile, the data analysis process used is data reduction, data display, verification and conclusion drawing. The results show that the performance of legal education is given to students and the public. Due to the generality nature of legal education by the KPK, it becomes a role model for legal certainty in the community. This can be seen when the KPK has conveyed its wide-ranging performance in various mass media to provide meaning and experience in monitoring the implementation of national law by the public.---------------Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) selain lembaga penegak hukum pada ruang lingkup tindak pidana korupsi, juga memiliki peran untuk melakukan pendidikan anti korupsi melalui pendidikan hukum. Pelaksanaan pendidikan hukum dilakukan di lembaga pendidikan dan dimasyarakat. Artikel ini membentangkan secara spesifik pendidikan hukum masyarakat oleh KPK melalui kinerja KPK dari berbagai sumber literatur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi literatur dengan teknik pengumpulan data kualitatif berupa studi pustaka (literatur). Sementara itu, proses analisis data yang digunakan adalan reduksi data, display data, verifikasi dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukan bahwa kinerja pendidikan hukum diberikan untuk kalangan pelajar dan mahasiswa serta masyarakat. Karena sifat keumuman Pendidikan hukum oleh KPK menjadi role model kepastian hukum masyarakat. Hal tersebut tampak tatkalah KPK menyampaikan kinerjanya luas diberbagai media massa sehingga memberi makna dan pengalaman memantau pelaksanaan hukum nasional oleh masyarakat.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the understanding and guidance that is suitable to be implemented in the norms of courtesy through Civics learning in Sunday school children at GBI Sukma Medan. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method, data collection techniques using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The object of this research is the activity of fostering norms of courtesy in Civics learning through storytelling techniques. The study population was all children of the Sunday school at GBI Sukma Medan, which consisted of class III-VI. The data collection instrument is the researcher himself with the help of observation guidelines and interview guidelines. The results obtained from the data analysis found that Sunday school children at GBI Sukma Medan did not understand the concept of the norms of courtesy and the application of the norm values of courtesy in daily life through Civics learning that they had previously learned. ------------- AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemahaman dan pembinaan yang cocok dilaksanakan dalam norma sopan santun melalui pembelajaran PPKn pada setiap anak sekolah minggu GBI Sukma Medan. Metode penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan datanya dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi secara menyeluruh. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kegiatan pembinaan terhadap norma sopan santun dalam pembelajaran PPKn dengan teknik bercerita. Adapun populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak-anak sekolah minggu GBI Sukma Medan yang dimana terdiri dari kelas III-VI. Instrumen dalam pengumpulan data dengan cara peneliti sendiri dengan bantuan pedoman observasi serta pedoman wawancara. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari analisis data yang ditemukan, menyatakan bahwa anak-anak sekolah minggu GBI Sukma Medan kurang memahami mengenai konsep norma sopan santun serta dalam penerapan nilai norma sopan santun dalam kehidupan sehari-hari melalui pembelajaran PPKn yang telah mereka pelajari sebelumnya.
