Abstract

Musculoskeletal complaints are one of the many complaints that often arise and are related to ergonomic problems. These complaints are caused or worsened by work activities and conditions, such as lifting movements, repetitive movements, unnatural postures, pushing or pulling movements, static work and working in confined areas. According to data from the 2018 Labor Force Survey (LFS), it shows that the prevalence rate of musculoskeletal disorders in workers is very high, namely 1,144,000 cases with a distribution of cases affecting the back of 493,000 cases, the upper limbs or neck 426,000 cases , and the lower limbs. under 224,000 cases. The aim of this research is to find out and identify risk factors that cause musculoskeletal complaints in furniture workers. The research method was carried out using a literature review. The literature search was carried out online, namely via Google Scholar and the Garuda Portal, resulting in 4 national articles. Data processing is carried out by identification, filtering, inclusion and eligibility based on article findings which are then analyzed. The data used is secondary data whose sources are obtained from scientific articles/journals, books, documents and laws. The risk factors that cause complaints of musculoskeletal disorders in furniture workers have several risk factors which are divided into two, namely individual factors and work factors. Individual factors include age, length of service, BMI, and smoking habits. Meanwhile, work factors include work posture and work attitude. The risk factors that cause serious musculoskeletal complaints are age, length of service and work posture.

Abstract

Breastfeeding can accelerate the decline in IMR and at the same time improve the nutritional status of children which will ultimately improve the nutritional status of society towards achieving adequate quality of human resources. WHO and UNICEF recommend early initiation of breastfeeding (early lact on) as a life saving measure, because Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (EBI) can save 22% of babies who die before the age of 1 month. Early initiation of breastfeeding is still not widely known by the public. Only around 4% of mothers who give birth initiate early breastfeeding in Indonesia. Whether early breastfeeding is successful or not in maternity services, hospitals and community health centers really depends on health workers, namely nurses, midwives or doctors. The aim of this research is to determine the determining factors for the success of EBI implementation at RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping. The design of this research is observational analytic using a cross sectional research approach. The variables used in this research are the independent variable (maternal age, parity, education, employment, type of delivery and gestational age) and the dependent variable (EBI implementation). The sample for this study used the total population (total sampling), namely all mothers giving birth at RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping in 2021 who met the inclusion criteria, numbering 490 respondents. Bivariate analysis uses the chi square test. The research results showed that there was a significant relationship between the type of delivery (p-value 0.033) and gestational age ((p-value 0.000) with the implementation of EBI in the mother. Meanwhile for the factors maternal age (p-value 0.085), parity (p-value 0.151), education (p-value 0.086), and maternal employment (p-value 0.383) showed that there was no significant relationship with the implementation of EBI (p-value <0.05) at RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping. It is recommended that health workers be more plays an active role in providing education and information related to preparation for childbirth, especially readiness to initiate early breastfeeding as a guide for pregnant mothers in the final trimester.

Abstract

Babies and toddlers in Indonesia often experience stunting, with around 21.6% of them affected by this condition. In North Sumatra, the prevalence reached 21.1%, while in Humbang Hasundutan, the figure reached 29.6%. A survey in Simarigung Village found that 27 toddlers were stunted. This study aims to evaluate the benefits of stunting prevention education based on the AECAS application, with a focus on increasing the knowledge, attitudes, and actions of mothers in Simarigung Village. This research used a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test, involving 47 mothers of babies and toddlers using Android cellphones. The sampling method used was total sampling, and a paired t-test was carried out to analyze the results. The research results show a difference between the pretest and posttest with a confidence level of 95%. In the knowledge variable, there was a significant increase (p-value=0.000 < 0.05) with a Mean Paired Difference of 0.34. The attitude variable also showed a significant increase (p-value=0.000 <0.05) with a Mean Paired Difference of 0.36. Likewise, the action variable showed a significant increase (p-value = 0.000 < 0.05) with a Mean Paired Difference of 0.27. The results of the normality test show that the data for the Knowledge, Attitude, and Action variables are normally distributed. Therefore, it is hoped that respondents can increase their understanding of preventing stunting in infants and toddlers thanks to the education provided through the AECAS application
