Abstract

Thermoelectric Generator (TEG) is an energy conversion device used as an electricity generator to create hot electric currents through temperature differences. This research aims to determine the effect of time on temperature differences from burning rice husks (Oryza sativa L.) in series and parallel configurations. This research method was carried out experimentally by burning rice husk biomass in a kiln and utilizing the heat of the fire to convert it into electrical energy. The TEG total of 48 TEG pieces which produce the highest current in the series configuration produces the highest with respective values of current 0.09 A and voltage 1.02 V, and the parallel configuration TEG produces the highest with respective values of current 0.98 A and voltage 0.25 V. The highest temperature difference reaches 30.5°C in the series configuration and 31.8°C in the parallel configuration. The longer the burning time, the more significant the resulting temperature difference. Likewise, the greater the electric current and voltage, the longer the burning time.

Abstract

The agricultural sector is one sector that has great potential to improve the economy. To increase the role of the government and the income of fruit and vegetable farmers, the government and farmers need to better manage their business results for marketing or sale. The level of welfare of fruit and vegetable farmers is still low, this is not because the selling price of fruit and vegetables is low, nor is it because of the large number of imported fruit and vegetables, but rather because of the government's lack of attention to the fruit and vegetable sub-sector, especially durian. snakefruit. Oranges, bananas, mangoes and papaya. This research used a descriptive method, which was carried out in Ngawi Regency. The selection of the research area and determination of samples was carried out deliberately. Data collection uses the interview method using questionnaires to obtain primary data and documentation methods to obtain secondary data. The data analysis method uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis using the Location Quotient approach which tests the validity of the data using methods, sources and theories. The results of the research show that the factors that have a real influence on the income of fish farmers in Nagari Andaleh, Luak District, Limapuluh Kota Regency, are the leading commodities for the Fruits and Vegetables sub-sector, namely Salak with an LQ value of 4.19 and Durian with an LQ value of 2.36. Other types of commodities such as Oranges with an LQ value of 0.64 also have the potential to be developed, in contrast to non-seeded commodities, namely Bananas with an LQ value of 0.03, Mangoes with an LQ value of 0.05 and Papaya with an LQ value of 0.06.

Abstract

Throwing a stone on the surface of the water has been a popular hobby for thousands of years, but in recent times, this phenomenon is rarely encountered in physics education. Flat and round stones are the best choice due to their favorable surface area, which creates a rebound when they collide with the water. However, the "magic angle" between the rotating stone and the water must be around 20 degrees to achieve the maximum number of bounces. This is an interesting phenomenon to explore, especially for students in rural areas who often visit rivers or beaches to play. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze the conceptual understanding of physics students regarding the phenomenon of stones bouncing on the surface of water. This research is a qualitative study that analyzes students' responses through direct questions posed by the teacher. The study was conducted with 20 ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 81 Maluku Tengah. The findings show that students have a very weak understanding of the physics concepts related to the stone-bouncing phenomenon. They are unable to explain the phenomenon scientifically because they are still influenced by answers based on local and cultural experiences. As a result, the teacher took action by engaging students in direct learning and providing clear explanations of the concepts. Consequently, students' conceptual understanding of physics improved, and they were able to explain the phenomenon scientifically

Abstract

In the last decade, many studies of physics learning at the junior high school level seem to show that student-centered interactions have a greater effect than teacher-centered interactions in improving physics learning outcomes. Based on this premise,Think-pair-share (TPS) which is one type of cooperative learning model developed by Frank Lyman and his colleagues from the University of Maryland (1981) is a teaching strategy that promotes active and collaborative learning; however, its effectiveness and application are very good in physics learning. The purpose of this study is to analyze student learning outcomes using the TPS type cooperative model on the material of substances and their forms. This study uses a descriptive model with 24 students as subjects divided into four groups. The implementation of the study on SMP Xaverius Passo. Data were collected through tests, namely pretest and posttest and observations using student worksheets and affective and psychomotor assessments of students. The results showed that there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the TPS model, both from cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This study recommends the use of the TPS cooperative learning model as a solution to improve the quality of physics learning in schools
