Abstract

Abstrak: Keberadaan bahasa ibu di Indonesia seperti ‘terlupakan’, padahal bahasa ibu memegang peranan penting dalam pembelajaran. Survei deskriptif sederhana ini diarahkan untuk menemukan bentuk miskonsepsi siswa dan menghasilkan model wawancara dalam bahasa ibu khususnya bahasa melayu Sambas. Sebanyak 12 siswa kelas V yang dipilih berdasarkan gender dan tingkat pengetahuan diwawancara. Teknik Interview About Instances digunakan sebagai model untuk menggali miskonsepsi siswa tentang perubahan wujud benda dalam peristiwa daur air. Ditemukan miskonsepsi siswa di semua konsep perubahan wujud benda pada peristiwa daur air, terutama pada kondensasi. Siswa menganggap peristiwa daur air hanya terkait proses mencair dan membeku. Di samping itu, terdapat perbedaan miskonsepsi siswa menurut gender dan tingkat pengetahuan. Pengembangan instrumen Interview About Instances yang lebih bernuansa lokal disarankan sehingga cocok dengan latar budaya responden terutama siswa usia sekolah dasar. Kata kunci: miskonsepsi, daur air, bahasa ibu Abstract: Mother tongue existence in Indonesia was being forgotten, whereas it plays a part in learning. Twelve students, representing gender and three distinct achievement groups were interviewed, using the Interview About Instances in mother tongue to probing students’ misconception. Simple descriptive survey was conducted. Students appear to have misconceptions about state changes of water cycle in all concept, primarily in condensation. In fact, interviews reveal that students tend to view water cycle as confined to freezing and melting. Besides that, there are differences of students’ misconception according gender and achievement groups. Developing the Interview About Instances instrument that will support more to each interviewees’ cultural identity especially for students in basic education age range is suggested. Abstract

AbstractThe problem in this study is whether there is an influence of weight training on the passing ability of soccer extracurricular participants in SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of weight training on passing ability on football extracurricular participants in SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a pre-experimental design research form. The subjects in this study were all participants who joined soccer extracurricular activities in SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak, totaling 20 people. Data analysis with parametric test t-test. The results of the study based on statistical tests note that there is a significant influence on the value of t-test, namely tcount 19.18> ttable 1.729 at a significant level of 5%, from these results it can be concluded that there is an influence of weight training on the passing ability of soccer extracurricular participants in SMA Negeri 9 PontianakKeywords:, Football, Passing, Weight Training

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to describe the meaning of the Sigal dance clothing symbol in the Sowa'k Gawia Ceremony in Jagoi Babang, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan. The researched problem was about the meaning of color symbols, shape motifs and the use of Sigal dance attire in the Gawia Sowa'k Ceremony Jagoi Babang district, Bengkayang regency West Kalimantan.The research method was the descriptive method with a qualitative form using the semiotic approach. The sources of the data were the results of interviews, field notes and documentation of the informants namely Ginop, Mihek, and Gabriel Armando. The techniques of data validity used triangulation and the techniques of data analysis were systematically collected and analyzed. The findings showed that there were fern motifs that symbolically meant humans need to bond with another. They must work unitedly and need social connectedness to protect each other. A symbol of shoot bamboo meant a guide to the path of truth. The lower line motif with an upward taper shape and the upper line with a downward taper indicated the symbol of men who dares to respectfully carry the responsibility and obligations as Dayak Jagoi tribesmen. Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to improve students’ reading ability in finding out the understanding details on narrative text of SMP N 1 Kecamatan Sandai through Story Star strategy. This study was conducted through a classroom action research which it treated the students in three cycles. The subject of the research was class VIII which consists of 39 students. The data was collected using observation checklist and field notes. It also used mean score. The result of the study showed that Story Star strategy could improve the students’ reading ability after three cycles. The improvement to students’ reading ability was better in the third cycle than the first and second cycle which was shown by the mean score of student’s achievement. On the first cycle the students’ mean score was 48.28, and then improved to 62.05 and up to 76.52. Keywords : Story Star Strategy, Narrative Text,  Reading ability Abstrak: Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa dalam menemukan informasi yang terperinci dalam naratif teks di SMP N 1 Kecamatan Sandai melalui Story Star Strategy. Pembelajaran ini dilaksanakan melalui penelitian tindakan kelas dimana siswa diuji dalam tiga siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII yang berjumlah 39 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan catatan lapangan. Analisa data juga dilakukan dengan cara mencari nilai rata-rata. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Story Star dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa setelah tiga siklus. Peningkatan kemampuan membaca siswa lebih baik pada siklus ketiga daripada siklus pertama dan kedu sebagaimana yang ditunjukkan oleh hasil rata-rata dari hasil yang di capai siswa. Pada siklus pertama, rata-rata siswa adalah 48.28, pada siklus kedua rata-rata adalah 62.05, dan meningkat di siklus ketiga dengan rata-rata adalah 76.52. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the interaction of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Pontianak. The form of research is a survey study with descriptive method which is a research method that reveals problems at the time this research is conducted. The sample of this study was grade VIII students of Pontianak State Junior High School. The data collection techniques used in this study are indirect communication techniques, namely data collection techniques carried out directly against respondents using an intermediary tool in the form of a questionnaire in the form of multiple choices totaling 45 items after 50 items were validated before being tested for validity and communication techniques. directly yaiut data collection techniques carried out by way of face-to-face with research respondents in the form of interviews. Based on the results of the analysis of the data that has been studied shows that the social interaction of VIII grade students reached 78.40% in the Good category. This shows that the social interactions that exist in class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Pontianak both when interacting with the teacher and when interacting with school friends are fairly good. Keyword: Analysis, Interaction, Social

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui upaya Paguyuban Kristen Jawi Pontianak dalam memelihara kesadaran kolektif, ikatan keagamaan dan ikatan sosial yang ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Alat pengumpulan data adalah panduan observasi, panduan wawancara dan alat dokumentasi.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kesadaran kolektif pada paguyuban ini sudah cukup baik. Adapun upaya yang dilakukan untuk memelihara kesadaran kolektif ini berupa saling berkordinasi, dan selalu mengedepankan pelayanan. Ikatan keagamaan yang terdapat pada Paguyuban ini sudah baik. Adapun upaya yang dilakukan guna memelihara ikatan keagaman ini dengan inovasi seperti rekreasi religi pada momen-momen tertentu yang dijalankan setiap tahun. Ikatan sosial dalam Paguyuban Kristen Jawi Pontianak ini sudah cukup baik. Upaya yang dilakukan guna memelihara ikatan sosial ini dilakukan dengan cara menanamkan tenggang rasa terhadap para warga paguyuban serta memprogram rangkaian kegiatan paguyuban dan menjalankannya secara konsisten. Kata kunci : Paguyuban, Solidaritas Sosial Mekanik Abstract: The objective of this research was to know the effort of Paguyuban Kristen Jawi Pontianak maintain collective consciousness, religious ties and social ties. The research used descriptive method and qualitative approach. The techniques of data collection were observation, interview and the study of documentation. The research instruments were the directive of observation, directive of interview, and the documentation tools. This research showed that collective consciousness of the gemeinschaft is already. There is effort done maintain the collective consciousness as for mutually coordinate and worship priority.  This religious tie of the gemeinschaft is good enough. There is effort done maintain the religious tie is get the religous vacation on specific moments that run every year. Social tie of the gemeinschaft was good. There is effort done maintain the social tie as run with instilling tolerance to gemeinschaft members and set the schedule activity and then run that as consistance. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the effect of discovery models on learning outcomes in the thematic learning of Grade IV 55 Primary Schools in West Pontianak. The method used is an experimental method. In this study, researchers used a quasi-experimental design, with the form of nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research is all of class IV 55 Pontianak Elementary School. The sample was determined using a total sampling technique and obtained a sample of IVB class totaling 30 students as an experimental class and IVA totaling 25 students as a control class. Data collection techniques using measurement techniques. Data collection tools in the form of multiple choice tests housed 45 questions. The results showed that the average post-test of the experimental class and the average post-test of the control class, obtained a tcount of 0.769 with dk = 30 + 25-2 = 53 with a significant level (α) = 5% obtained a table of 2.007, because t count is 0.769> t table equal to 2.007 then Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of discovery models on learning outcomes in the thematic learning of class IV 55 Primary Schools in West Pontianak. Based on the results of the calculation of the effect size (ES) obtained ES = 0,59 which includes the criteria of being. This means that the discovery model has a moderate effect on learning outcomes in the thematic learning of Grade IV 55 Primary Schools in West Pontianak. Keywords: Discovery Model, Influence, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi peserta didik menggunakan experiential learning pada sub materi hukum Archimedes di SMP Negeri 1 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian quasy eksperiment dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian diperoleh menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling sehingga 28 peserta didik kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 31 peserta didik kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian diperoleh pada uji t dengan taraf signifikansi 5%  diperoleh thitung = -(2,05) dan ttabel =1,67, dengan uji satu pihak. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara pembelajaran menggunakan experiential learning dengan pembelajaran konvensional kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pontianak. Dengan demikian, penggunaan experiential learning dapat meremediasi peserta didik dan diharapkan dapat digunakan oleh guru sebagai alternatif untuk pembelajaran materi fisika lainnya.Kata kunci: Remediasi, Miskonsepsi, Experiential Learning.Abstract: The purpose of this research is remediate misconceptions students’ use experiential learning in the sub material Archimedes in SMP 1 Pontianak. Method of research is the study quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. Samples were obtained using random cluster sampling technique and then 28 students of class VIII C as the experimental class and 31 students in grade VIII D as the control class. The results were obtained on t test with significance level of 5% obtained t = - (2.05) and table = 1.67, with one against. These results indicate that there are significant differences between learning to use experiential learning with conventional learning in class VIII SMP 1 Pontianak. Thus, the use of experiential learning can remediate students and is expected to be used by teachers as an alternative to other learning materials physics.Key words: Remediation, Misconceptions, Experiential Learning.

Abstract

  Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan metode demonstrasi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca unsur batin puisi pada pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia di kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 71 Pontianak Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas(PTK). Teknik pengumpul data menggunakan teknik observasi langsung menggunakan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: kemampuan guru merencanakan pembelajaran pada siklus I diperoleh skor 2,75 dengan kategori sedang, pada siklus II diperoleh skor 3,10 dengan kategori baik dan pada siklus III diperoleh skor 3,73 dengan kategori baik sekali.kemampuan guru melaksanakan pembelajaran pada siklus I diperoleh skor 2,74 dengan kategori sedang, siklus II diperoleh skor 3,40 dengan kategori baik dan pada siklus III diperoleh skor 3,90 dengan kategori baik sekali. Hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus I  yakni 37,24%, siklus II 62,10% dan pada siklus III 81,72%. Hasil belajar peserta didik terjadi peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II yakni 24,86%, siklus II ke siklus III yakni 19,62%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode demonstrasi yang digunakan sudah berhasil dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca unsur batin puisi pada peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 71 Pontianak Barat.   Kata kunci: membaca,unsur batin puisi, demonstrasi. Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe the influence of use demonstration method in improving literacy inner element of poetry in learning Indonesian language and literature in the fifth grade Elementary School number 71 west Pontianak. This research uses descriptive research is a classroom action research. The technique of collecting data use direct observation technique by observation sheet. The result of this research are the ability of teacher plan learning in cycle I obtained score of 2,75 in the medium category, in cycle II obtained score of 3,10 in good category and in cycle III obtained score 3,73 with excellent category. The ability of teacher to implement learning in cycle I obtained score 2,74 in the medium category, in cycle II obtained score 3,40 in good category and in cycle III obtained score 3,90 with excellent category. The result of students learning in cycle I are 37,24%, in cycle II are 62,10% and in cycle III are 81,72%. The result of students learning increase from cycle I to cycle II in 24,86%, cycle II to cycle III in 19,62%. So, it canbe concluded that demonstration method used has been successful in improving the ability of reading a poetry on the inner element at fifth grade students of Elementary School number 71 west Pontianak.   Keywords       :           Demostration Inner element of poetry, Reading

Abstract

 AbstractMost of students’ problems in writing are that they do not know how to generate and develop the idea for their writing. To help the students to overcome their problems, the researcher used animation movie as media to teach students’ prewriting activity. To help them to use their own opinion of an idea in their writing, the researcher chooses recount text. This research was conducted in a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design and investigated whether the use of animation movie is effective in teaching writing recount text for students’ prewriting activity to the tenth grade students of Vocational School 2 Pontianak in academic year 2016/2017. The class which was taken by the researcher was class TOI (Teknik Otomasi Industri) which consists of 30 students. The technique of data collecting was measurement and the tool of data collecting was written test. Based on the result of the data computation, it was obtained that the t-test score (18.30) was higher than t-table (2.045) at α = 0.05. This prove that teaching recount text by using animation movie was significantly increased the students’ score in writing. Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected while the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the effect of the treatment is categorized as strong effect. Keywords : Animation Movie, Recount Text, Prewriting  AbstrakSebagian besar masalah siswa dalam menulis adalah bahwa mereka tidak tahu bagaimana untuk menghasilkan dan mengembangkan ide untuk tulisan mereka. Untuk membantu siswa untuk mengatasi masalah mereka, peneliti menggunakan film animasi sebagai media untuk mengajarkan kegiatan prapenulisan siswa. Untuk membantu mereka dalam menggunakan pendapat mereka sendiri dari ide dalam tulisan mereka, peneliti memilih recount teks. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam satu kelompok desain pretest-posttest pra-eksperimental dan menyelidiki apakah penggunaan film animasi efektif dalam mengajar menulis recount text untuk kegiatan prapenulisan siswa untuk siswa kelas X SMK 2 Pontianak pada tahun akademik 2016 / 2017. Kelas yang diambil oleh peneliti adalah kelas TOI (Teknik Otomasi Industri) yang terdiri dari 30 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah pengukuran dan alat pengumpulan data adalah tes tertulis. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan data, diperoleh bahwa nilai t-test  (18.30) lebih tinggi dari t-tabel (2,045) pada α = 0,05. Ini membuktikan bahwa mengajarkan recount text dengan menggunakan film animasi meningkatkan secara signifikan nilai siswa dalam menulis. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis nol ditolak sedangkan hipotesis alternatif diterima dan efek dari perlakuan dikategorikan sebagai efek yang kuat. Kata kunci: Film Animasi, Teks Recount, Prapenulisan
