Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to answer the research question  “how effective is the use of bang-bang game to increase vocabulary achievement of the seventh grade students of SMPN 11 Pontianak?”. The research  focused on the seventh grade students of SMPN 11 Pontianak in Academic Year 2017/2018 by administering a vocabulary test of common noun before and after the treatment given. In conducting this research, the researcher applied pre-experimental research  using one sample group with no control group. The data showed that the mean score of the students’ post-test was (85.60) higher than students’ pre-test (45.66).The research indicated that the effect size was categorized as moderate effect. The t-test (4.01) was bigger than the t-table (2.042). In conclusion, it is clear that the alternative hypothesis “The use of bang-bang game as the teaching technique in teaching vocabulary is effective to increase students’ vocabulary achievement was accepted, and the null hypothesis was rejected”.           Keywords: Bang-bang Game, Vocabulary,  Pre-Experimental Study

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose this research is to know about the strategy that has been applied in the public library which is located around in the Archives Office and Library at Kubu Raya. This research is a descriptive research with the technique of data collection through observation, interview, and documention study. There are three people based on predetermined criteria for research participants. Some attempt was made by the library such as story telling competitions, creative wall magazines and mobile libraryas form of strategy for developing interest and reading culture for the society. Effort of empowerment was also carried out starting from the quality of service until coaching of library needs. The result obtained was the strategy for developing the interest and reading culture that has been applied to the community did not effective. Due to the service factor and also the existence of public library that has one building with the Archives Office and Library at Kubu Raya. Keywords: Strategy, Effective, Quality Library Service

Abstract

AbstractThis research was movitated by lack of social skills in 5-6 year student in one class who amounted to 20 children with 2 teachers. The purpose of this study aims to enhance the development of the child?s social skills through role play activites in children aged 5-6 years in Gembala Baik kindergarten. Social skills are very important for each person to be able to interact with environtment. Therepore social skills need to be improved since an early age. This research is a classroom action research. The subject in this study is children aged 5-6 years in group B of Gembala Baik kindergarten. The variables of this study are the social skills of the children. Data collection is done through observation and interview. The technique of data analysis was done in descriptively. The stages of the research consist of done in descriptively. The stages of the research consist of olanning, action, observation, and reflection, this study implemented as many As 2 cycles. The results showed that the social skills of children can be as 2 cycles. The result showed that the social skills of children can be increased after the given action, as for the action given a role ?play activity. Social skills, develop in the aspect of children patienty waiting for their. Turn to reach 100%, the aspect child can obey the rules that was agreed upon reaches 100%, and aspect of children work together with friends to reach 90% in cyle 2 meeting 2. Thus, social skills can  be enhanced through role-play activites. Keywords: Social Skill, Role Play

Abstract

AbstractLearning readiness is the initial condition that makes students ready to respond to a lesson given by the teacher in a certain way in any situation. The better students' learning readiness, the better the results they get in the learning activities they follow. Therefore researchers wanted to know more about the learning readiness of class VIII Serasan Timur Middle School 1. The general problem of this research was "How is learning readiness in class VIII students of Serasan Timur Middle School 1?".The method used was descriptive method with a quantitative approach that is a problem solving procedure by describing the distribution of learning readiness of class VIII students of Serasan Timur Middle School 1. While the data collection technique used  wasindirect communication techniques. The population as well as the sample in the study amounted to 52 students. The form of this study was a study survey. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire.Based on the results of data analysis showed that the learning readiness of class VIII students of Serasan Timur Junior High School 1 reached 79.88%, included in the good category. Keywords:Analysis Learning Readiness.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the feasibility of laboratory work guide on structure and function of plant tissue submaterial in class XI High school with additional of  replica method. This research form is descriptive with two stages, namely instrument validation and media validation. The instrument validator consisted of two Biology Education lecturers and one high school biology  teacher. The laboratory work guide validator consisted of two Biology Education lecturers and three high school biology  teachers who conducted 2013 curriculum. Data were analyzed using Lawshe method with the Content Validity Ratio (CVR) and Content Validity Index (CVI) formulas. The results of the validation showed that the instrument was feasible to be used and the results of the laboratory work guide validation obtained CVR and CVI values up to 0.99 which corresponded to Lawshe's minimum CVI value for five validators so that the laboratory work guide was declared valid and feasible to use as learning media on class XI for structure and function of plant tissue submaterial in High school. Keywords: Feasibility, Laboratory Work Guide, Validation.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan wawancara klinis untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa kelas VII SMPIT Al-Mumtaz Pontianak tentang massa jenis. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Pre-Experimental Design, dengan rancangan percobaan One Group Pretest-Postest. Sepuluh orang siswa yang terdiri atas 5 orang yang memiliki miskonsepsi paling banyak dan 5 orang yang memiliki miskonsepsi paling sedikit dipilih untuk mengikuti program remediasi. Tes diagnostik pilihan ganda dengan tiga alternatif jawaban digunakan untuk mengetahui jumlah miskonsepsi mereka baik sebelum maupun setelah remediasi. Ditemukan bahwa rata-rata persentase penurunan miskonsepsi tiap siswa sebesar 75,18% dan rata-rata penurunan jumlah siswa yang miskonsepsi tiap konsep sebesar 52%. Uji Tanda (Sign Test) menunjukkan signifikansi (p = 0,001) dari program ini dengan effect size sebesar 0,0001.   Kata kunci: Remediasi, Wawancara Klinis, Effect Size. Abstract: This study was conducted to find out the effectivity of clinical interview implementation to remediate the misconceptions about the density at 7th grade students SMPIT Al-Mumtaz Pontianak. Through One Group Pretest-Posttest  design of the Pre-Experimental research. Ten students consist of the first five top and the first five below of the diagnostic test results were choosen to participate this study. A set of three options multiple choice test was administered at before and after the experiment. The average misconceptions reductions was 75.18%, the sign test indicates significantly (p = 0.001) with effect size 0.0001. Keyword : Remediation, Clinical Interview, Effect Size

Abstract

Abstract In learning, one of the various problems encountered by students is the lack of understanding of the material delivered by the teacher, resulting in the low results of learning outcomes. This study aims to find out the effectiveness of the point-counter-point learning model towards the students learning outcomes. The applied model is used to facilitate students in learning. This study used a quantitative method in the form of experimental research. The techniques used in this study were measurement, direct observation, and documentation techniques. The average scores of learning outcomes obtained by the experimental and control group are respectively 79.5, and 66.73, with the standard deviation of the control group by 7.77. Based on the criteria, the effect size obtained by 1.64 was categorized as high. Therefore, the applied learning model is adequate for use as the learning model towards the class XI IPS students of MA Darul-Khairat Pontianak, categorized as high by 1.47. Abstract

Abstrak. Latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini karena bahasa figuratif sebagai media penyampaian pemikiran serta perasaan baik secara lisan maupun tulis di dalam sebuah karya sastra. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan bentuk-bentuk bahasa figuratif, makna, amanat, dan rencana implementasi di sekolah. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian bersifat kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ditemukan secara keseluruhan adalah 33 data, yakni bahasa figuratif metafora di 4 puisi, bahasa figuratif metonimia di 2 puisi, bahasa figuratif sinekdoki di 14 puisi, dan bahasa figuratif personifikasi di 26 puisi. Makna yang terdapat dalam kumpulan puisi  mengambarkan  secara keseluruhan tentang penyesalan, kekasih, dan alam.  Amanat  pada kumpulan yakni, saat dalam keadaan senang atau susah hendaknya selalu mengingat Tuhan, berilah kasih sayang terhadap orang-orang yang berada dilingkungan sehari-hari, dan janganlah merusak alam dengan tujuan kepentingan pribadi. Hasil penelitian ini sebagai bahan referensi guru dan siswa dalam materi puisi untuk membedakan bentuk bahasa figuratif, pemaknaan puisi, dan amanat yang terkandung di dalam puisi. Kata Kunci: Bahasa Figuratif, Puisi. Abstract. Research background in this research as a media to delivery our thinking then good feeling in verbalize as well as in written form in a litetary. The aim of this research to find out figurative language forms, meaning, moral value, and implement a plan at school. The method in this research is descriptive method with a form of qualitative research. Based on data analysis find out, there are 33 data. That is the of metaphor figurative language in 4 poems, the of metonymy figurative language in 2 poems, the of sinekdoki figurative language in 14 poems and the of personification figurative language in 26 poems. The meaning contained of poem depict overall about regret, love and nature. The moral value of poem which is current in a state of happy and sad should remember to God. Give affection to those who are in the everyday environment and do not destroy nature with the purposeof personal gain. The result of this research as a reference material for teachet and students at school to distinguish the shape of the figurative language, the meaning of poetry and the moral value. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the effect of the snowball throwing learning model on the ability to analyse fable texts. While the specific objectives of this study are 1) knowing the difference between snowball throwing learning models and conventional learning models; 2) knowing the difference in high group learning outcomes and low group learning outcomes; 3) knowing the interaction between learning models and learning outcomes on the ability to analyse fable texts. This study used a factorial design experimental method. The population in this study was students of Muhammadiyah Pontianak 1 Secondary School. The sample in this study was seventh grade students of Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak Secondary School. The techniques of data collection in this study were measurement techniques with multiple choice test instruments, structured observation techniques, and documentation techniques. The results showed that there was a difference in the ability to examine the fable text treated between the snowball throwing learning model and the conventional learning model with Fcount > Ftable (13,377 > 4.03).Keywords: Conventional, Fable Text, Snowball Throwing

Abstract

  Abstrak: Tujuan yang dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah merevitalisasi tari Jepin Tempurung di desa Tekelak agar dapat hidup kembali dikalangan masyarakat lingkungan desa Tekelak. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan koreografi. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil wawancara, hasil observasi, hasil dokumentasi dan buku catatan lapangan harian mengenai tari Jepin Tempurung. Hasil penelitian ini adalah upaya yang dilakukan dalam merevitalisasi tari Jepin Tempurung yaitu membedah bentuk sajian tari Jepin Tempurung dengan menampilkan kembali tari Jepin Tempurung mulai dari penari masuk ke pentas, hingga keluar pentas menggunakan musik iringan, properti dan kostum tari Jepin Tempurung. Kata Kunci: revitalisasi, tari Jepin Tempurung, Melawi.     Abstract: This research was based on the near extinction of Jepin Tempurung dance in Tekelak village, North Pinoh District, Melawi Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The objective achieved in the research was to revitalize Jepin Tempurung dance in order to re exist within a society in Tekelak Village. The method in this research is descriptive. The form of this study is qualitative. The method in this research is the approach to choreography. The data used in this study were interviews, observation, documentation and the results of daily field notes journal about Jepin Tempurung dance. The result of this research was the effort to revitalize Jepin Tempurung dance by dissecting the form of Jepin Tempurung dance, reenacting Jepin Tempurung dance started from entering the stage until exiting the stage with musical accompaniment, properties and costumes of Jepin Tempurung dance.                                                                                                               Keywords : revitalization , Jepin Tempurung dance, Melawi.
