Abstract

AbstractThe title of this thesis is the Role of assistant of Social Service and Rehabilitation Unit (UPRS) of West Kalimantan in Improving Child Learning Motivation. In this study the problem formulation is how the role of assistant of UPRS West Kalimantan in improving children's learning motivation. The formulation of the problem translated into several sub-issues, namely how assistant of UPRS West Kalimantan gives attention in motivating children's learning, how assistant of UPRS West Kalimantan gives reward in motivating children's learning, how assistant UPRS West Kalimantan provides penalties for motivating children's learning. The aims of this study are to determine and describe the role undertaken by assistant of UPRS West Kalimantan in improving motivation to learn, by giving attention, appreciation, and punishment. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study are using observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study are 8 people.The results of this study indicate that the role performed is good enough, giving attention, such as giving advice to children to study, supervise when children is studying such as reminding children when it is time to study. Abstract

AbstractThe problem in this research is whether cooperative learning strategy can improve the ability of passing soccer game on the students of grade V at the elementary school 05 Taum Desa Raya Tebudak district Bengkayang. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of learning outcomes of soccerthrough the implementation of cooperative learning strategies in students of class V in elementary school 05 Taum vilages Tebudak light district Bengkayang. The method used by PTK research with sampling using total sampling technique, all students of class V as many as 15 students.the results obtained from this study is able to increase 80% ability to accurately passing soccer students. Means the result of learning passing soccer through cooperative learning has increased. Keywords: Shape methods, learning outcomes, passing, football.

Abstract

AbstractThe title of this research is the application of Firingline strategy to increase student interest in class VIII B on the material to understand the text in SMP Islam Tazkiyah news Pontianak. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) has been conducted in two cycles. Descriptive and qualitative terms. The research was conducted in SMP Islam Tazkiyah Pontianak, the research subjects are subjects Indonesian teachers and students of class VIII B is 31 students consisting of 22 women and 9 men. classroom action research procedure there are four steps: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data in this study were obtained using a questionnaire. Data collection tools in this study is in the form of tools such as cameras, observation sheets and documentation on the results of the learning process using a strategy of ongoing Firingline. Results obtained from these studies that the planning is already well underway, because teachers use lesson plans in accordance with curriculum guidelines.Keywords: Strategy Firingline, Interest in Learning,

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of the study was to document and describe of taboo word in BMDKS based the classification on the opinion of Frazer and describe of reference euphemism based on the opinions Wijana and Rohmadi. The method used in the study is descriptive  the with of qualitative research. Using the sociolinguistic approach. Techniques data collection in the research this is techniques direct observation. Collection data tools in this research is recorders voice,  stationery to take notes, and researchers as the main instruments. The data source of this research is three informants  speech BMDKS. Based on the results of the research found 58 the words taboo BMDKS. The units linggual language a divided in  two the types, namely words and phrases that can be grauped to several categories such as: 1) the word based on the verb, Nouns, and adjectives,  2) the phrase in the units grammatical consisting of two or more words classified based phrase the category apositive the phrase type verbs, Adjectives,  and nouns. Based classification taboo that is; name of people and animals, parents name, name relatives, and taboo certain words the which elaborated again to be eight categories that is taboo the mention; genitals, sexual activity,  profession, physical functions, spirit, objects or circumstances, and diseases. Euphemisms references can be classified to be nine categories namely;  conditions, animals, spirit, objects, body parts, kinship, activity, profession, and disease.Keywords: the word taboo dialect Kapuas Hulu, reference euphemism, sociolinguistic

Abstract

                AbstractThis research was done to investigate how debate technique can improve students’ speaking ability. The form of this research is a classroom action research, in which the subject is the eleventh grade students of SMAN 10 Pontianak in academic year 2017/2018. The subjects of this research were 36 students in XI IPA 3. The data were collected from the students’ score in speaking test, observation checklist, video recording and field notes. The students’ attitude towards the learning process was gathered by observation checklist and field note. The data of speaking was obtained by speaking test which was administered through debate technique. Based on data, the students showed improvement in the process of debate technique. There were two cycles in conducting this research. In cycle I, the students could explore the rules and language features of debate technique, but less in organizing the time. The researcher conducted the cycle II which resulted that, the students could deliver the arguments and comprehend the debate technique. Besides that, the teacher was able to engage students’ performance in speaking spoken form of analytical exposition text by the use debate technique and the students also became more active and enthusiastic in teaching learning process.Key words: Debate Technique, Improve, Speaking Ability

Abstract

AbstractThe study investigated student misconception and cause of the misconception on straight motion. A descriptive survey was employed. The sample for the study was 87 students of X grade from SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. Data are collected by using multiple choice diagnostic tests with open reason and interview. The result indicated that student made  .66% misconception about straight motion. The misconceptions were on the eleven concept, including: the sama distance as displacement (32.18%), in parallel positions two objects have the same speed (35.63%), objects in front of other objects moving with greater velocity (20, 63%), if  speed increases, then acceleration is more and more (72.99%), the downward trajectory is a slowing down trajectory (16.1%), the acceleration of the object when it stops is zero (86.21%), if the object velocity is zero, then the acceleration is also zero (34.48%), objects with a larger mass will fall faster than objects with lighter mass (94.25%), the higher the object, the smaller the acceleration, and vice versa (83,36%), an object thrown up has zero acceleration at the highest point (88.50%) and,  the direction of acceleration is always the same as the velocity (85.06%).                                                                                  Keywoards: Misconception, straight motion, diagnostic tests

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan kurikulum 2013 di sekolah dasar se-kota Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survey. Dari hasil penelitian ini, beberapa guru memiliki kemampuan untuk merencanakan dan melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan kurikulum 2013, tetapi terdapat beberapa guru yang belum memiliki kemampuan melaksanakan pembelajaran Kurikulum 2013, dikarenakan belum mendapat pelatihan khusus dari pemerintah tentang pelaksanaan pembelajaran kurikulum 2013. Kesulitan dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan kurikulum 2013 adalah sulitnya mengintegerasikan setiap mata pelajaran ke dalam pelajaran yang lain, kurang pahamnya guru dalam mengembangkan kompetensi inti dan komptensi dasar dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan pembelajaran, tidak adanya buku pedoman siswa untuk melaksanakan kegiatan belajar mengajar, serta sulitnya melakukan penilaian dengan menggunakan kurikulum 2013. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan, Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, Kurikulum 2013 Abstract : The purposes of this research are describing about the ability of studing realization by Curriculum 2013. This research used by descriptive method and by survey tipe. The result of this research is there are some teacher have ability to planning and to implemented the learning of  Curriculum 2013 but some teacher?s can?t do that because in other schools have not received special training from the government about implementation of learning by using curriulum 2013. Which becomes difficult in implementation of learning by using curriculum 2013 are the difficulty of integrating each lessons in another lesson, lack of understanding of teachers in developing core competencies and basic competencies in plan and implementation it, there?s no guidebook to implementation teaching and learning activities, and the difficulty of assessing by using curriculum 2013. Abstract

 AbstractThis research aimed to describe the transition of cultural value of Jonggan arts on Dayak Kanayatn’s community (A study at Dusun Moro Betung, Kabupaten Landak). This research was descriptive with ethnography-qualitative. Techniques of data collection were observation, interview, and documentation. Instruments of data collection were in forms of guided observation, guided interview, and documents. Supplementary intruments were in the forms of two smartphones which functioned as voice recorder and audio-visual recorder. Testing data validity was conducted by applying triangulation technique. The results showed that the transition of Jonggan arts cultural value was caused by internal and external factors. Internal factor was affected by the role of studio leader, Jonggan member, the community, and local government. The transitions of cultural value happening comprised; (1) free dance, (2) duration of Jonggan Arts performance, (3) dancer’s costume, (4) dancer’s cosmetics, (5) dancer’s property, and (6) ticket existence. Abstract

Abstrak: Secara umum penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kelemahan yang terdapat dalam pembelajaran IPA melalui peningkatan aktivitas belajar peserta didik di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Plus Bina 45 Pontianak Timur. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Secara terdapat peningkatan aktivitas belajar peserta didik yang awalnya (base line) rata-rata 44,6% berarti berada jauh dibawah kriteria ketuntasan minimal atau KKM yang ditetapkan sekolah. Setelah di berikan tindakan pada siklus I meningkat menjadi rata-rata 53% selisih dengan (base line) berkisar 8,4% pada siklus II. Aktivitas meningkat menjadi rata-rata 83% terdapat peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II dengan selisih 30% dari (base line) ke siklus I. Aktivitas peserta didik dikategorikan sedang, sementara dari siklus I ke siklus II aktivitas peserta didik tergolong rendah. Kata Kunci: Aktivitas Belajar, Metode Inquiry, IPA   Abstact: In general this research aims to correct the weaknesses in IPA learning though enhanced student learning activities in the classroom IV base school Plus Bina 45 Pontoanak east. The methode use in is significantly. Describtive method there is in crease in students learning activities that his initial (base line) meaning avarange of 44,6%. There is so far bellow the minimum completeness criteria or KKM assigned school. After given action on the first cycle I increased to 53% difference with a (base line) of aboutb 8,4% cycle II. Activity increased to 83% there increase from cycle I to cycle II with a goal difference of 30% from (base line) to I cycle to II is low.   Keywords: Learning Activities, Inquiry Methods, IPA

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed  to determine the effect of free education on motivation to learn in SMP 1, SMP 4 and SMP 9 Kecamatan Simpang Hilir, North Kayong. Data analysis of this study wus simple linear regression analysis, Classical Assumption Test, and hypothesis. This study was conducted based on survey locations in SMP 1, SMP 4 and SMP 9 Simpang Hilir, North Kayong, respondents drawn from the three schools in this study were as many as 69 respondents or students which is collected by using survey method as sample of students of SMP 1 SMP 4 and SMP 9 Simpang Hilir, North Kayong. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The results of the study indicated that free education has significantly influence the motivation to learn. The result of a simple linear regression which has been done obtained regression equation that can be written Y= a + bX or 27,550 + 1,120X coefficient of determination R2 = 0,562 means of 56,2% can be explained by looking on explanatory variable (independent variable) which has been revealed in the model, and 43,8% Influenced by other variables outside this regression model.  Keywords: Free Education, Learning Motivation
