Abstract

The highway construction industry is experiencing serious problems in terms of achieving quality, cost, and project implementation time. These problems arise due to the weakness of the quality management system that has not been fully integrated into the project cycle. Projects that fail to meet quality standards result in waste of resources and reduce public trust in project implementers. This study aims to analyze the effect of quality management on the performance of highway construction projects systematically and in depth. This study uses a qualitative approach based on literature review to identify elements of quality management that play an important role in improving project performance. The results of the study indicate that quality standards, workforce training, effective communication, use of technology, and organizational culture have significant contributions to the quality of construction results. The study also found that external supervision, type of contract, and project leadership strengthen the sustainable quality system. The periodic evaluation system and stakeholder involvement strengthen the accountability of the quality of highway projects as a whole. The study concludes that structured and integrated quality management can improve project efficiency in terms of cost, quality, and time simultaneously. The study recommends strengthening the sustainable training system, implementing digital technology, and establishing a quality culture in the project organizational structure. Project organizations are advised to integrate the quality system into all lines of decision-making and technical implementation. Stakeholders must be involved from the planning stage to create a sense of ownership of the development results. This study is expected to be a reference in the development of a national quality system in the highway construction sector.

Abstract

The construction industry faces various efficiency issues in project implementation. Construction projects often experience delays, cost overruns, and sub-optimal quality. Researchers observed that the role of project managers is crucial in creating work efficiency. Project managers are responsible for coordination, communication, decision-making, and risk management during the construction process. This study aims to analyze the contribution of project managers' roles to increasing construction project efficiency. This study uses a deductive qualitative approach that relies on literature reviews and thematic analysis from various academic sources. Researchers found that high managerial skills affect the effectiveness of resource allocation and project time. Researchers also found that open communication encourages harmonious and productive teamwork. Researchers noted that data-based decisions accelerate the problem-solving process and prevent project delays. Researchers saw that systematic risk management can reduce the impact of uncertainty and increase project stability. Researchers observed that organizational support strengthens the position of project managers in strategic decision-making. Researchers concluded that the role of project managers significantly affects all dimensions of construction project efficiency. Researchers suggest that construction companies improve project manager competencies through integrated training and supporting information systems. Researchers hope that the results of this study will contribute to efficient and sustainable project management practices. Researchers recommend a holistic approach in developing project management in the construction sector.

Abstract

The study aims to examine the impact of website quality, store promotion, and time pressure on e-impulse buying on Shopee. The research uses primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires to 115 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The data analysis method employed is SEM-PLS, using Smart PLS version 4.0 as the analytical tool. To test data validity, the researcher uses validity tests including convergent validity, discriminant validity, and average variance extracted (AVE), as well as reliability tests such as model fit, coefficient of determination (R²), Q-square, and effect size. The results of this study indicate that website quality does not affect e-impulse buying on Shopee. The analysis found that students of Malikussaleh University do not consider website quality significantly. Store promotion has a significant effect on impulse buying on Shopee; Effective store promotions, such as discounts, special offers, and loyalty programs, tend to increase the urgency to make unplanned purchases. Time pressure also has a significant effect on impulse buying on Shopee. Time pressure, often manifesting as limited-time offers or flash sales, can increase the urgency to make immediate purchases without thorough consideration.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Cash on Delivery (COD) and bank transfer payment methods on consumer satisfaction in online purchasing transactions among students of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Malikussaleh University. The primary data for this research were obtained through questionnaires distributed to students who had previously made online purchases. The population consisted of 2,809 students, and using the Slovin formula with a 10% margin of error, a sample of 97 respondents was determined. This number was rounded up to 100 respondents for ease of analysis. The sampling technique used was purposive random sampling, with criteria including active student status and prior experience in online shopping. The results showed that both COD and bank transfer payment methods had a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction. The partial test results revealed a t-value of 9.033 for COD and 9.063 for bank transfer, both exceeding the t-table value of 1.660 with a significance level of 0.000, leading to the acceptance of hypotheses H1 and H2. The simultaneous test also confirmed that both independent variables together significantly affect consumer satisfaction, with an F-value of 713.640 and a significance level of 0.000. These findings indicate that the chosen payment method plays a crucial role in determining consumer satisfaction. COD tends to provide a higher sense of security, while bank transfers are perceived as faster and more efficient especially by students who are familiar with digital financial services.

Abstract

Maize is one of the world's food crops, and Simalungun Regency is one of the corn production centers in Indonesia. Corn production in Simalungun Regency has decreased due to various factors including downy mildew. Downy mildew disease is caused by Peronosclerospora spp. its development is increasingly rapid supported by a high humidity environment, while the purpose of the study was to examine the effect of rainfall on downy mildew disease intensity, productivity, production, and symptoms of corn plant attack in different locations.Research method: Observations of correlation and regression tests of rainfall on disease intensity, productivity, production, and harvest area of corn were analyzed using Minitab statistical application. The results showed that there is a relationship between rainfall and downy mildew intensity, production, productivity, and harvest area of corn plants. The intensity of downy mildew was highest in Tanah Jawa sub-district with an average disease intensity of 7.81%, this was due to the fact that no eradication was done on plants infected with Peronosclerospora spp. The symptoms of attack found at each observation location had the same symptoms.
