Abstract

Revolusi industri berdampak pada kehadiran artificial intelligence di dunia. Kecerdasan buatan ini juga menyasar sektor penyedia konten, khususnya media massa di dunia. Sejumlah negara barat dan Asia mulai menggunakan robot untuk menghasilkan konten berita. Kehadiran robot bisa meringkas kerja jurnalis dalam menghasilkan berita. Namun, layaknya sebuah mesin, robot tetap mematuhi format (template) yang disediakan, sehingga tidak mampu menangkap suasana dan emosi dalam sebuah narasi. Fakta ini turut membantu media massa dalam meringkas jam kerja dan jumlah karyawan. Namun belum mampu menghasilkan kualitas emosional layaknya tulisan atau konten yang dihasilkan manusia atau jurnalis. Meski begitu, ke depan, penggunaan tekologi robot akan terus bertumbuh. Hal ini mengingat perkembangan website semakin bertambah dari waktu ke waktu di seluruh dunia. Sehingga, penggunaan robot keniscayaan dengan mengelaborasi dengan kemampuan manusia. Maka, lahirlah kualitas jurnalisme yang cepat dan konten yang berkualitas.

Abstract

Media company becomes a unique company in the industrial sector of Indonesia. On the one hand, media has to keep its independence in running the activities. On another hand, media is an industry, thus it certainly runs for profits. Keeping the independence in a media industry requires a skillful management. In this context, studying the politic economy of the media becomes necessary. The business of the media starts from selling the prints, advertisements, and is getting more developed these days. This paper studies the transformation of mass media in Indonesia from the perspective of politic economy.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the infleunce of customer centric marketing mix on satisfaction for tourists in context of Aceh. The Halal tourism destination such as Ujong Blang beach, Seumadu beach, Lancok beach, Pangah Beach, Waduk Jeulikat, Lhok Seulayang, Museum Geudong and Gunung Sala is the latest destination in North Aceh and Lhokseumawe, Indonesia. This destination currently very in great demand by the tourists. A survey questionnaire is used to conduct this study. A sample of 200 tourists participated in the study. The findings reveal the significant positive relationship of three marketing mix elements with tourists’ satisfaction for tourism services in the context of Aceh.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of tourism attractiveness on the decision to visit city forest park of Kota Langsa Tourism Destination. This study uses primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents selected using the Accidental sampling method. The data analysis method used was a multiple linear regression method with the help of SPSS. The results partially showed that tourist attraction positively and significantly influenced the decision to visit the city forest park of Kota Langsa Tourism Destination Simultaneously, tourist attraction significantly influenced the decision to visit the city forest park of Kota Langsa Tourism Destination.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of leverage, growth opportunity, and firm size on hedging decisions by consumer goods industry firms. The sample of this study was 28 firms for the period 2016-2020. This study used balance panel data with 140 observations. The method of this study is Binary logit estimation, in which the dependent variable is a dummy with 1,0 for the firm using hedging and otherwise. This study finds that leverage positively affects hedging decisions but is not significant. The rising debt would lead the companies to hedge asset instruments. Growth Opportunity has a different effect, whereas growth opportunity has a negative and insignificant effect. The findings do not correspond to the hypothetical expectation. They are also not in line with the theory, which states that there is a linear relationship between investment opportunities and hedging decisions. The findings do not support the expected hypothesis. Furthermore, the effect of firm size on hedging decisions is positive and significant. The larger firm size would lead increase in the hedging decision in Indonesia. The implication is that the company's management must focus more on the impact of investment opportunities with the company's policy of conducting low hedging. A higher investment opportunity has a higher risk of getting a return.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of lifestyle factor, religiosity, and consumer perceptions on young Muslim women's decisions to buy halal skincare in the Kota Lhokseumawe. This study uses primary data obtained by distributing structured questionnaires to 112 respondents. The sample was selected with a purposive sampling approach. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS Software. The results of the study indicate that lifestyle, level of religiosity, and consumer perception have positive dan significant effect on young Muslim women's decisions in buying halal skincare products in Kota Lhokseumawe. This finding has implications for the development of the concept of purchasing halal products.

Abstract

Strategi komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh Satgas Covid-19 Lhokseumawe dalam penerapan protokol warung kopi ada dua yaitu strategi komunikasi langsung berupa sosialisasi dan strategi komunikasi bermedia dengan cara membagikan surat edaran walikota, poster, dan spanduk di setiap warung kopi serta juga membuat situs web Covid-19 Lhokseumawe agar memudahkan masyarakat dalam mencari informasi seputar Covid-19. Selain itu, protokol kesehatan yang diterapkan di warung kopi tersebut adalah menyediakan tempat cuci tangan, menyediakan poster atau spanduk mengenai imbauan memakai masker, menjaga jarak aman antarmeja agar tidak saling berdekatan, dan tidak mengadakan acara yang bisa menimbulkan kerumunan, serta jumlah konsumen yang berkurang akibat aturan mengurangi mobilitas. Hambatan yang sering ditemukan oleh Satgas Covid-19 Lhokseumawe dalam penerapan protokol kesehatan di warung kopi adalah kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam menaati protokol kesehatan.

Abstract

The influence and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the mass media industry in Indonesia has begun to be applied. Both online media and television. In fact, mass media in Indonesia also produce content in the form of audio, video, text and presenters using AI. The use of this technology does make it easier for media workers. However, it has various shortcomings and problems that arise as a logical consequence of the presence of AI technology. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis style. The results show that AI technology has shortcomings in terms of accuracy, verification, and validation of data collected from the digital universe. On the other hand, it has no legal justification in Indonesia. For this reason, special regulations for the use of AI in the Indonesian mass media are needed. Thus, the public as the main recipient of information is not harmed and maintains the image of the media industry as the most trusted institution in the country.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini difokuskan peningkatan Mampu menjadi kreator video dan voice untuk meningkatkan pendapatan dari platform digital. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk mengedukasi dalam bentuk pelatihan kepada konten kreator di Desa Lancang Garam, Kecamatan Banda Sakti, Kota Lhokseumawe. Pengabdian ini menyasar kelompok remaja yang dikenal dengan sebutan kaum generasi Z atau generasi milineal. Mereka kini menjadi kreator dari beragam platform new media dengan konsep bagi hasil dan endorsers. Namun, belum mampu meningkatkan pendapatan. Sehingga diketahui, komptensi memproduksi video, editing, hingga memasarkan video ke kanal media sosial belum dimiliki secara komprehensif. Dari sisi teknologi juga belum menguasai teknik koding dengan memaksimalkan tool media sosial dan serach engine optimeze (SEO). Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa semua para peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan ini telah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang cara memproduksi dan pemasaran konten lewat seluruh media sosial di dunia.

Abstract

Beberapa media pemberitaan baik cetak maupun online masih belum sepenuhnya menerapkan jurnalisme berperspektif gender pada pemberitaannya melalui kebijakan redaksional ditingkat jurnalistik, terkhusus pada kategori sensitivitas gender atau pemihakan terhadap perempuan sehingga pemberitaan terkait perempuan masih direpresentasikan sebagai objek pemberitaan yang bersifat diskriminatif. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini memberikan pemahaman kepada mahasiswa tentang penepatan gender dalam pemberitaan secara professional. Kegiatan ini merekomendasikan supaya kegiatan serupa dilakukan secara berkelanjutan supaya memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam kepada mahasiswa khususnya mahasiswa yang mengambil jurusan komunikasi yang mengambil jurusan jurnalistik berkenaan dengan gender. Kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu bentuk pengabdian masyarakat (PkM) sebagai sarana mengaktualisasikan ilmu di universitas kepada masyarakat.
