Abstract

 This research started from the Lesson Study PPL activity in class VI SDN 02 Agak, researchers found several problems in the process of learning activities of students in the classroom, namely (1) many students did not understand the content of the readings given. (2) the ability of students to answer questions is still below average. (3) student learning outcomes show that there are still many students who are not complete in solving the given questions. Based on the observations of researchers in the class, students have difficulty in reading understanding, this can be seen from the results of the tests carried out. A total of 16 students, only 4 students were completed. To overcome this, Class Action Research (PTK) was carried out using the SQ3R Learning Model (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) to improve students' reading comprehension skills. The end result of this study is to improve reading comprehension skills and improve student learning outcomes. This research procedure goes through three cycles, namely cycles I, II and III. Each cycle is carried out through four steps as stated by Kemmis and MC. Taggart is planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, tests and documentation. The data obtained are analyzed and reflected quantitatively and qualitatively descriptively. The results showed that the S3R Model can improve student learning outcomes. The success of students in this study can be seen from the average value of each cycle that has increased. Cycle I average value 68.75, cycle II 73.25 and cycle III 78.75. In addition, the level of student learning completion increases every cycle, cycle I of completed students is 7 people or 43.75%, cycle 2 is completed by 11 people or 68.75% and cycle III is completed by 15 people or 93.75%.  Keywords: SQ3R Model, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

Educational human resources comprise of administrators, teachers, and support personnel. Educators are frequently overlooked in educational administration.  This study aimed to assess the impact of STIKes B's implementation of educational staff administration for the sound quality of education. This research used descriptive qualitative research methodologies. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicated that the management of educators and education personnel at the stages of planning, selection, orientation, appointment and placement, observation and assessment, compensation, and dismissal had been implemented, but not to the greatest extent possible. There are educators and educational personnel who lack the requisite expertise. The offered compensation is regarded as meager. Good human resource planning, providing educational human resource support, and human resource development through training, certification, observation, and equitable compensation are required to enhance the quality of education personnel.

Abstract

Penerapan model pembelajaran dalam kegiatan pendidikan di Taman Kanak-kanak dianggap mampu membantu anak menjadi pribadi yang aktif dalam mengoptimalkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, kemandirian serta rasa percaya diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan mengenal geometri anak usia 4-5 tahun di Taman Kanak-kanak. Pre-eksperimental desain one group pretest-postest digunakan dengan subjek penelitan sebanyak 38 anak yang dipilih secara acak dalam penelitian ini. Hasil menunjukan bahwa model ini memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan mengenal bentuk geometri yang merupakan salah satu pondasi anak mengenal matematika melalui kegiatan menyebutkan, mengidentifikasi, menggambar, memasangkan. dan menandai bentuk geometri seperti lingkaran, segitiga, persegi dan persegi panjang.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah banyak mengubah berbagai aktivitas yang dilakukan secara konvensional menjadi kegiatan jarak jauh atau dalam jaringan. Termasuk pada kegiatan belajar dan mengajar yang tetap dilaksanakan dalam masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pelaksanaan pendidikan jarak jauh di masa pandemi Covid-19 bagi pendidik, peserta didik, orang tua, dan sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana implikasi pendidikan jarak jauh di masa pandemi Covid-19 terhadap pendidik, peserta didik, orang tua, dan sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu jenis penelitian kepustakaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa penerapan dari PJJ berdampak besar bagi pendidik, peserta didik, orang tua, dan sekolah yang harus beradaptasi dengan keadaan dan kondisi baru ini. Adanya keterbatasan dan kurangnya akan kecakapan dalam penggunaan teknologi informasi membuat pelaksanaan pendidikan jarak jauh terhambat. Oleh karena itu, perlu diperhatikan bagi pendidik, peserta didik, orang tua, dan sekolah untuk dapat mendukung terselenggaranya pembelajaran pada pendidikan jarak jauh di masa pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

AbstractAdvances in technology, especially the internet, have made it possible for all people to find information quickly. In line with this convenience, plagiarism is increasingly happening in the world of education, especially universities. This study focuses on four factors that cause plagiarism in students which were identified by reviewing using the relevant literature. Namely, academic culture factors, organizational factors, the role of supervisors, and individual factors. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study design on FKIP students at Tanjungpura University with the research subject of lecturers. This study uses a semi-structured interview technique. From the results of qualitative data analysis, it was found that internet abuse, poor assessment practices, and lack of academic writing skills were some of the factors causing plagiarism by students. The implications of this study indicate the need for all universities in Indonesia to encourage lecturers to remind students of the serious consequences of academic dishonesty and point out some examples of plagiarism.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji keefektifan konseling kelompok teknik restrukturing kognitif untuk mereduksi kecemasan akademik menggunakan mixedmethods model embedded experimental. Menggunakan skala kecemasan akademik dengan subjek penelitian terdiri dari 14 orang yang terbagi menjadi kelompok ekperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Rata-rata hasil pretest kelompok eksperimen=105,4 kelompok kontrol =105,7 dan setelah diberikanya perlakuan diperoleh rata-rata postest kelompok eksperimen =80,28 dan kelompok control =90,14. Hasil uji wilcoxon signed-rank test nilai Z= -2,371 dengan nilai p sebesar 0,018. Nilai p lebih kecil dari pada 0,05 (0,183 0,05), dengan demikian maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, yang berarti konseling kelompok teknik restrukturing kognitif efektif untuk mereduksi kecemasan akademik. Secara kualitatif dilihat dari analisis percakapan konseling dengan kecemasan akademik yang tinggi terfokus pada perasaan tertekan, tidak yakin akan kemampuan diri, takut, khawatir, tuntutan sekitar, tidak disukai, tidak percaya diri. Perubahan yang terjadi mengarah dalam kategori tinggi ke kategori sedang sampai rendah. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa intervensi konseling kelompok dengan teknik kognitif restrukturing memiliki dampak perubahan terapeutik terhadap konseli.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the prespective of parents regarding the meaning of school readiness to enter elementary school from the early childhood education stage. Parents' perceptions of school readiness are related to children's early education experience, which can support optimizing their readiness to enter elementary school. The method of this research is a phenomenological study that reveals the perceptions of parents who have children in the age range of 5-6 years that have not entered the elementary education stage. Research data collection is through interviews. The technique used for processing data is IPA (Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis) techniques. This data processing technique is implemented through six (6) stages, which consist of 1) Reading and re-reading; 2) Initial noting; 3) Developing Emergent themes; 4) Searching for connections across emergent themes; 5) Moving the next cases; and 6) Looking for patterns across cases. Parents' perceptions show that young children ready to enter primary school can read, write, count, be independent, and have mental readiness. Parents see that there will be changes in demands between PAUD and elementary school levels, so children need to be prepared for these changes. Meanwhile, parents' views on schools and teachers in preparing children show trust and hope that schools can play a good role.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the intensity of students in the Department of Islamic Education, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, especially students of 2017 and 2018 class in playing online games, and the effect on their religious observance.  This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 52 students. The research data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the correlation analysis product moment. The results showed that the majority of students played intensely online games. However, their intensity of playing online games did not have a significant effect on their religious observance. The results of the analysis with the product-moment indicates 0.206 0.279 where rcount is lower than rtable.  Keywords: Online Games, Religious Observance

Abstract

This research aims to gain deeper insights into the experiences and perceptions of 50 fourth-semester students in the Economics Education program at Universitas PGRI Argopuro Jember (UNIPAR) during the academic year 2022/2023 regarding their learning and adaptation experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic period. The research method employed is qualitative, utilizing a questionnaire as the primary data collection instrument. The findings of the study indicate that students faced various challenges in navigating remote learning during the pandemic and beyond. They faced technical issues and had trouble staying motivated and focused during online learning. However, as time passed after the pandemic, some students showed better adaptation to this new learning environment. Additionally, the study identifies key adaptation strategies used by students during and after the pandemic, such as improving time management and seeking assistance from lecturers and peers. These insights greatly enhance our understanding of how students manage remote learning challenges in both pandemic and post-pandemic contexts.

Abstract

Abstract"Micro Teaching" is a mandatory course in the Mandarin Language Education Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Tanjungpura University, serving as preparation for students before their Practicum in Schools (PPL). The primary focus of this course is to provide students with an opportunity to apply the theoretical teaching skills they have previously learned. This descriptive study, using observation, surveys, and interviews, reveals that in teaching vocabulary, grammar, and reading, instructors in micro-teaching tend to rely on the translation method. There is also the utilization of visual aids, either separately or in combination with other methods, although instructors have not fully implemented them effectively in the classroom. The dominance of the translation method in the learning process is due to its simplicity and speed, especially considering the limitations in Mandarin language proficiency among instructors. Unfortunately, the teaching of pronounciation and Hanzi tends to be neglected, focusing solely on the sequence of writing Hanzi characters. Moreover, the interaction pattern between teachers and students, which should ideally be two-way and practical, still tends to be dominated by the role of the teacher.Keywords: Micro-teaching, Teaching Method, Chinese.  Abstrak  "Micro Teaching" merupakan mata kuliah wajib di Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Mandarin FKIP Universitas Tanjungpura, sebagai persiapan bagi mahasiswa sebelum menjalani PPL di sekolah. Fokus utama mata kuliah ini adalah memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk menerapkan teori keterampilan mengajar yang telah dipelajari sebelumnya. Penelitian deskriptif ini dilakukan melalui metode observasi, survei, dan wawancara, dengan hasil bahwa dalam pengajaran kosakata, tata bahasa, dan bacaan, guru-guru dalam micro teaching cenderung mengandalkan metode penerjemahan. Terdapat juga penggunaan metode gambar dan ilustrasi, baik secara terpisah maupun kombinasi dengan metode lainnya, namun guru belum sepenuhnya mampu mengimplementasikannya dengan baik di kelas. Metode penerjemahan lebih dominan dalam proses pembelajaran dikarenakan kemudahannya dan kecepatannya, terlebih lagi karena adanya keterbatasan kemahiran guru dalam berbahasa Mandarin. Sayangnya, pembelajaran pelafalan dan Hanzi cenderung terabaikan karena hanya fokus pada urutan penulisan karakter Hanzi. Selain itu, pola interaksi antara guru dan siswa, yang seharusnya bersifat dua arah dan efektif, masih cenderung didominasi oleh peran guru.  Kata Kunci: Micro teaching, Metode Pembelajaran, bahasa Mandarin.
