Abstract

Islamic boarding school institutions have long been active in educating the Indonesian nation. This work is not only in the religious field, but also in the educational field. The discussion was about the important role of Islamic boarding school institutions in improving education in Indonesia. This research aims to find out about the history of Islamic boarding school education, the role of Islamic boarding schools in educating the nation, the contribution of Islamic boarding schools in improving the quality of education in Indonesia, and the weaknesses of Islamic boarding schools in the advancement of science. This research uses qualitative methods by relying on library research, namely collecting data from books, articles and other sources relevant to the research topic. The results of this research are that Islamic boarding schools have an important and strategic role in improving the quality of education in Indonesia. The role of Islamic boarding schools is not only in the aspect of religious education, but also in the aspect of general education and developing national character.

Abstract

The Suguh Sesaji ritual in the Jaranan Pegon Paguyuban Kyai Menggung performance plays an important role in strengthening the identity of the Mangunharjo community, Pacitan. Various elements of the offerings prepared in the Jaranan Pegon performance are believed to have a psychological influence on the performers, thus contributing to a performance that amazes the audience. This study aims to describe the symbolic meaning of the contents of the offerings used in the Suguh Sesaji ritual. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a semiotic approach. The results of the study show that the offerings in the Jaranan Pegon performance include various elements, such as incense, frankincense, seven types of flowers, salt, bitter coffee, ingkung chicken, cok bakal, Serimpi and Fanbo perfumes, yellow rice, glutinous rice, two combs of plantain, coconut, and kampung eggs. These elements have symbolic meanings that are passed down from generation to generation, such as delivering prayers, asking for safety, honoring ancestors, attracting sustenance, and keeping away bad things. The myth that developed stated that these offerings can bring spiritual powers, such as genies or spirits, which are believed to make the movements of the players more attractive and interesting. This study emphasizes the importance of understanding the symbolic meaning of offerings as an effort to preserve the Jaranan Pegon tradition and make it more interesting through the unique acrobatic movements of the players.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect  of the problem based learning  model  on students critical thinking skills of class XI students at SMA Negeri 5 Serang City. This research was conducted from May 2024 to October 2024. The research method used was quasi-experiment. The sampling technique in this study used a type of non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. The research sample totalled 43 students in class XI-S1 as the experimental group and 44 students in class XI-S2 as the control group. The instrument used in this study was a 10-item description test. Hypothesis testing was carried out using a two-party t-test with the polled variant formula obtained the value of t_hitung (10.6) ≥ t_table (1.99). with α = 0.05 so that HO is rejected and H1 is accepted. This shows that there is an effect of problem based learning  model on critical thinking skills of class XI students at SMAN 5 Serang City on the material of Japanese Occupation in Indonesia. The problem-based learning model can be used as a recommendation for learning models to implement history learning and train students‘ critical thinking skills, this is because the problem-based learning model can construct historical knowledge about past problems and focuses on how students think in solving problems so that it can train students’ critical thinking skills. However, the problem-based learning model also has a disadvantage in that it requires more time to implement the stages of the problem-based learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to prove and describe (1) implementation of canva learning media ini interest of class VIII students through the Canva learning media for the Social Studies subject, Social Mobility Material at SMPN 4 Nangaroro Satap, (2) The learning interest of class VIII students for the Social Studies subject, social mobility material after the application of the Canva learning media at SMPN 4 Nangaroro Satap. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which is implemented in 2 cycles. The data collection techniques used are (1) observation, (2) documentation. The research subjects were 25 students of class VIII at SMPN 4 Nangaroro Satap. The results of the data analysis can be concluded that (1) Canva learning media has been implemented well in social studies learning on social mobility learning materials. This can be seen from Canva learning in cycle I  of 72,5% (quite good category) and in cycle II of 95% (including the very good category). (2) Students interest in learning after applying Canva based increased in cycle I students interest learning was 75% (fairly good category) and the level in cicly II was 95 % (good category). This it can be suggested (a) teachers should be able to use a variety of learning media in teaching, one of which is Canva learning media as an alternative to increase students interest in learning. (b) Canva learning media is not only used in social studies subjects but can also be used in other subjects. (c) Schools are expected to facilitate teachers in the use of Canva learning media.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of Muhammadiyah's Khittah on the younger generation, focusing on its role and implementation in shaping their character and social participation. Khittah Muhammadiyah, as the basic guideline of the organization, emphasizes moderate and progressive Islamic values, which are relevant in facing the challenges of modernization and globalization. Through adaptive education and da'wah programs, Muhammadiyah seeks to instill these values in the younger generation, so that they can play an active role in community development. The results of the analysis show that the understanding and internalization of the Muhammadiyah Khitah that the Muhammadiyah Khithah has a significant impact on the younger generation, both in terms of understanding, behavior, and participation in the organization. Despite the challenges in its implementation, the efforts made by Muhammadiyah to support the younger generation in understanding Khithah should be appreciated. Encourage the younger generation to engage in social activities, have a tolerant attitude, and think critically in dealing with contemporary issues. In addition, the da'wah approach that utilizes digital media has proven to be effective in reaching and influencing the mindset of generation Z. Thus, Khittah Muhammadiyah plays a significant role in shaping the character of the young generation who are noble, insightful, and ready to face the challenges of the times.

Abstract

Education aims to develop the potential of students holistically through cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Characteristic-based development of students allows learning to be designed according to their unique needs, including learning styles, multiple intelligences, and social and cultural backgrounds. This article examines the strategy of developing students based on characteristics using a descriptive-analytical literature review method. The results of the study indicate that strategies that focus on student characteristics, such as problem-based and project-based learning, are able to optimize the development of cognition, affectivity, and psychomotor in a balanced manner. This approach supports the creation of effective learning that not only builds knowledge, but also positive attitudes and practical skills, so that students develop into individuals with character and competitiveness.

Abstract

Penerapan strategi komunikasi melalui aspek pendekatan psikologis untuk memperluas wawasan dan kesadaran diri para generasi muda, untuk mencegah dan menghindari pernikahan dini demi meningkatkan kesejahteraan sosial masyarakat, dalam hal ini studi kasusnya adalah  para generasi muda pada Warga Rawasari 7 RT.054 RW.005 Komplek Pondok Sari Kota Banjarmasin Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan yang mana pada artikel ini dianggap warga disini adalah sampel dari populasi warga kota Banjarmasin yang termasuk salah satu kota besar yang sedang berkembang pesat di Indonesia. Berikut beberapa hal permasalahan yang akan di bahas nanti, yaitu seberapa penting menjalin kedekatan emosional dengan cara komunikasi dari orang tua kepada anak-anaknya yang sudah beranjak dewasa agar terbuka wawasannya untuk tidak melakukan pernikahan dini. Dengan strategi berkomunikasi dari hati ke hati tanpa bersikap menggurui, tapi lebih ke psikologis seperti seorang sahabat atau teman yang menasehati, itu jauh lebih bisa masuk secara mendalam ke mind atau pikiran anak-anaknya. Karena pendekatan berkomunikasi dengan cara menjadikan anak sebagai sahabat di kala mereka remaja, itu jauh lebih efektif dibandingkan mendidik mereka secara kolot atau otoriter. Dalam artikel ini,, warga rawasari 7 yang dijadikan sebagai perbandingan dari berbagai penelitian tentang pernikahan dini yang terjadi di desa desa pedalaman pada seluruh Indonesia. Rumusan masalah dalam artikel penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana strategi psikologi komunikasi mengurangi pernikahan dini untuk meningkatkan kemakmuran pada kelurahan teluk Dalam di Kota Banjarmasin.  Didapatkan hasil penelitian bahwa dari data di lapangan beserta In-Depth Interview ke warga, tingkat Pendidikan, wawasan, kesadaran diri, dan strategi psikologi pendekatan dari para orang tua ke anak-anaknya benar sangat mempengaruhi perubahan mindset untuk tidak gegabah dalam melakukan pernikahan dini. Dengan ini terlihat jelas bagaimana perbedaan penelitian pernikahan dini yang terjadi di kota dan di masyarakat desa. Dengan berkurangnya pernikahan dini di Indonesia, maka akan meningkatkan kemakmuran social bagi seluruh rakyat Republik Indonesia.

Abstract

Preschool age children are closely related to language and speech development. Mastery of speech clarity and awareness of letter sounds is one aspect of children's readiness to master letters in each vocabulary. Phonological skills affect the achievement of children's phonological awareness, without good phonological skills and phonological awareness skills, children can experience problems in their reading skills. Learning about the structure of language sounds can build phonological awareness skills necessary for reading success during the preschool years. Children who have speech sound production problems in phonology rules, tend to have difficulties in phonology awareness and reading. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between phonological ability and phonological awareness in preschool children in Karanganyar. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with correlational research and cross sectional. The sample was taken from 41 respondents with phonological problems with purposive sampling. Data was collected using test instrument. The results of the analysis using the Spearman Rank correlation test obtained a (p) value of 0.004 (p <0.05) which means that there is a relationship between phonological ability and phonological awareness ability in preschool children aged 4-6 years in Karanganyar. The magnitude of the correlation is indicated by the correlation coefficient (r) value of 0.444, meaning that it has a moderate positive correlation. This relationship can be concluded that phonological ability affects the achievement of phonological awareness ability in reading readiness of preschool children.

Abstract

The Indonesia Smart Program (PIP) is an aid from the Indonesian government that aims to provide educational assistance to underprivileged students in order to increase access to education for all citizens. Given the importance of PIP funds in equalizing access to education, this program has challenges in its implementation that can affect the effectiveness of the PIP program. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the implementation of PIP in senior high schools to find the problems faced. This research uses a Mix Methods approach by giving questionnaires to students and in-depth interviews to school principals and parents. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Qualitative data validation techniques use data triangulation and method triangulation. Quantitative data validation techniques use expert judgment. Qualitative data analysis uses Milles and Huberman techniques, which include data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. Quantitative data analysis uses percentage analysis. The role of schools in the PIP program is to provide opportunities for students who experience economic constraints to obtain PIP assistance. Parents play a role in ensuring that the PIP funds obtained are budgeted for the fulfillment of children's educational needs and not for other purposes. So that the role of schools in monitoring students who receive PIP needs to be done systematically. The data obtained shows that PIP funds have a positive impact on meeting educational needs by 76.5% in the good category, the impact of PIP on academic aspects by 62.9% in the good category. The PIP program has an impact on motivation and sustainability of education by 72.94% in the good category.

Abstract

This article reviews the importance of revitalizing science education through an Islamization approach as an effort to integrate Islamic values ​​in modern science. By emphasizing the concept of integration between religion and science, this approach aims to overcome the dichotomy between religious science and secular science. The research method used is a literature review, involving analysis of theories and practices related to the Islamization of science proposed by figures such as Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas and Ismail Raji al-Faruqi. The Islamization of science is considered capable of enriching science education with a holistic perspective that includes moral and spiritual dimensions, thereby creating a generation of scientists who are not only intellectually superior, but also have ethical awareness. The main challenges to this approach involve the dominance of the secular science paradigm in education and the need to develop methodologies that are in line with Islamic principles. This article recommends developing a curriculum based on Islamic values ​​and global collaboration to strengthen the position of Islamic science in the international arena.
