Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there were differences in mathematical communication skills in relation to the learning process of implementing Reciprocal Teaching in students who learn through direct learning. The population used in this study consisted only of students of class XI MIA MAN 2 Kampar, where the sample was class XI MIA 1 as the experimental class and XI MIA 2 as the control class. Data collection used tests, observations, questionnaires and documentation. Data were analyzed using TwoWay ANOVA. The results showed that there were variations in mathematical communication skills between students who used the reciprocal learning approach and students who did direct learning: there were differences in this case the mathematical communication skills of students who had high, medium and low learning interests. And there was no interaction between the Reciprocal Teaching learning model and interest in students' mathematical communication skills. So Reciprocal Teaching can be used to influence students' mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning media based on canva hyperlinks to increase students' interest in learning the topics of Ecology and Biodiversity. The main problem faced is the lack of attractive and interactive learning media. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of the study are seventh-grade students class VII-2 at MTsN 6 Nganjuk. Questionnaire data were analyzed quantitatively. The assessment results show that the interactive learning media based on canva hyperlinks is highly valid, with an average score of 87.14% by content experts and 100% by media experts. The practicality of the media is demonstrated by an 83% score from the student questionnaire, while the effectiveness test shows an increase in learning interest scores from 58% (low category) to 80% (moderate category), with an N-Gain value of 0.5 (moderate category). The Paired Sample T-Test results indicate a significance of 0.000 < 0.05, which shows a significant difference between pretest and posttest results of students"™ learning interest. In conclusion, this media is feasible and effective to use for increasing students"™ interest in learning Ecology and Biodiversity material.

Abstract

Previous studies have mostly highlighted the tourism industry in general, but not many have examined tourism learning in the context of English education, especially related to student enthusiasm in following it. This study investigates the factors influencing students"™ enthusiasm for tourism learning among seventh-semester English education students at a private university in Surakarta. The research aims to understand how tourism-related materials enhance students"™ enthusiasm and engagement in the context of English Specific Purposes. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through classroom observations and semi-structured interviews with six purposively selected students. Observations focus on student behavior, such as active participation and attentiveness, while interviews explored personal experiences and challenges. The findings revealed that students were more enthusiastic when they perceived the material as practical and connected to real-world applications, such as career opportunities in tourism. However, increased academic pressure and workload were identified as factors that diminished enthusiasm. The study concludes that combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on learning activities can sustain student motivation and improve engagement. The implications suggest that educators should incorporate practical elements, such as interships and project-based tasks, into the curriculum to foster enthusiasm and prepare students for professional environments.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of teacher motivation and direct instructional strategies in the development of students"™ motor skills during private drum lessons. The background highlights the pedagogical importance of drumming as both a musical and developmental tool. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied at two music institutions in Bandung, involving 15 elementary students through interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results reveal that intrinsic motivation such as personal satisfaction and emotional connection plays a pivotal role in enhancing teaching effectiveness. Teachers"™ use of structured demonstrations, kinesthetic explanations, and adaptive feedback significantly improved students"™ rhythmic coordination and neuromuscular awareness. Discussion emphasizes how direct instruction, when emotionally engaging and physically responsive, creates a holistic and immersive learning experience. The study concludes that music education should integrate psychological and biomechanical perspectives to optimize motor skill development. This finding has implications for teacher training programs aiming to foster interdisciplinary competencies in music pedagogy

Abstract

Learning outcomes are still one of the obstacles in learning carried out in the classroom. Consistent improvement of learning outcomes is one of the indicators of success and learning, so that many efforts are made by teachers to achieve the desired goals. One of the efforts made is the use of crossword puzzle worksheets. Crossword puzzles are activities that help students understand the lesson by filling in the blank boxes in a descending and horizontal manner. The focus of this research is how teachers can plan, implement, and assess learning outcomes using crossword puzzle worksheets in grade IV students of SD Maitreyawira Palembang for the 2024/2025 school year. The method used in this study is descriptive in the form of class action research. The results showed that crossword puzzle worksheets were successfully used in IPAS lessons up to cycle II and developed during those cycles. The learning plan that took place in cycle I and cycle II increased by 19%. In addition, data in the first cycle showed an increase in learning outcomes from 15 complete students to 20 complete students in the second cycle. Based on this data, it can be concluded that crossword puzzle worksheets can improve students' learning outcomes in science lessons.

Abstract

This study was conducted to create a learning tool in the form of an electronic book using Canva to improve the learning achievement of grade 3 students in the field of natural and social sciences (IPAS) at the UPT SD Negeri Doromukti. The background of this study is based on the low learning achievement of students and the minimal use of interactive digital learning media in schools. The ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) is used in research and development (R&D). The data collection process was carried out by means of observation, interviews, expert questionnaires for validation, student and teacher questionnaires for responses, and the implementation of pretest and posttest tests. The validation results prove that the E-book using Canva is declared very qualified by media experts (92.3%), material experts (88.6%), and language experts (93.2%). In practice, this media is also very good with a percentage of responses from teachers reaching 95% and students 91%. The effectiveness of the product can be seen from the better learning outcomes for students with an N-Gain value of 0.56 which is included in the category of quite effective to effective. Ebooks based on Canva have proven to be valid, useful, and efficient in improving students' science learning outcomes.

Abstract

Existing research so far has focused more on the influence of Kampus Mengajar program on teaching skills and academic achievement, leaving a significant knowledge gap in understanding its role in career planning. So, the aim of the research to find out the motivation of students to participate in the Kampus Mengajar program and whether the Kampus Mengajar program has an impact on students"™ career planning. The subjects consisted of 42 seventh-semester English Education students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Indonesia. Utilizing a sequential explanatory design, the research instrument used questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis was carried out using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The findings revealed three primary motivations in participating the program: gaining educational experience, developing professional competencies, and building inter-university relationships. Statistical analysis using Pearson correlation revealed a significant positive correlation (r = 0.390, p = 0.011) between Kampus Mengajar participation and career planning, indicating that the program positively impacts on students' career planning. The study concludes that the Kampus Mengajar program serves as a valuable experiential learning platform, providing students with practical insights, professional skill development, and career interest exploration beyond academic settings.

Abstract

Teacher education has a strategic role in producing professional educators who are ready to face the challenges of the world of education. One of the practice-based courses that aims to improve students' teaching competence is Micro Teaching. However, the effectiveness of micro learning learning outcomes in shaping students' teaching readiness has not been fully measured empirically. This study aims to determine the effect of micro teaching outcomes on the teaching readiness of PLP FKIP Universitas Pancasakti Tegal students, class of 2021. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The subjects of the study were 66 students selected through purposive sampling techniques from a total population of 195 students. Data were collected through observation, Likert-scale questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistical tests and partial t-tests with the help of SPSS version 27. The results showed that micro learning learning outcomes did not have a significant effect on teaching readiness, as indicated by a significance value of 0.985 and a calculated t of 0.019

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the development of science supplement books on vibration and wave materials to improve student learning outcomes. This research was conducted at MTsN 6 Nganjuk grade VIII. The method used in this study is R&D (Research and Development) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The research subjects in this study are students in grades VIII-2 even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year totaling 30 students. The results of the research from the development of this Science Supplement book are (1) The development of the Science Supplement Book is made with the addition of a QR code feature that leads to vibration and wave simulation, and is equipped with practice questions for each chapter, enrichment exercises, remidials, quizzes, LKPD and a collection of 100 wave vibration questions so that students can learn independently to improve student learning outcomes (2) Validation by teaching material experts shows the feasibility of the Science Supplement Book by percentages of 90% and 95.7%, while subject matter experts gave assessments of 61.4% and 91.4%. Analysis of pretest and posttest data showed an increase in student learning outcomes, with an average pretest score of 53.3 increasing to 81.3. Abstract

This study aims to analyze educational management in improving student achievement at the Madrasah Aliyah (MA) level. Education plays a crucial role in the development of a nation by producing quality human resources. However, various challenges such as inadequate facilities, low teacher qualifications, and ineffective school management often hinder efforts to improve student achievement. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach and interviews with teachers at MA Asy-Syafi’iyyah Singkawang, West Kalimantan. The main obstacles identified from the research include a lack of technological facilities, low student interest in learning, and limited access to information. Effective educational management strategies encompass relevant curriculum management, the application of varied teaching methods, and teacher collaboration. Additionally, active parental participation in education is also a crucial factor. This study provides practical recommendations for enhancing the quality of teaching and learning outcomes, emphasizing the importance of adaptation and innovation in educational management. Thus, this research offers practical recommendations for educators and educational staff to improve the quality of teaching and learning outcomes through good educational management strategies and adequate support from various stakeholders.
