Abstract

This study aims to enhance the digital marketing capabilities of Bahri Artshop, a traditional Songket weaving business located in Sukarara, Lombok. Despite its strong local reputation, the business struggles to utilize digital platforms effectively for product promotion. Prompted by inquiries from potential buyers during university exhibitions about the absence of a website and social media accounts, the research team stepped in to assist in platform development. The research highlights the cultural narratives embedded in each unique weaving motif created by Bahri Artshop. The qualitative study involved discussions with the business owner, Hana, and her family, alongside training sessions for workers on content creation, photography, and website management. Findings indicate that the implementation of a website and Instagram account has notably improved brand awareness and strengthened the shop's position within the digital marketplace. These results underscore the vital role of mentoring and education in supporting SMEs in entering broader digital markets.

Abstract

Batuan Tourism Village is one of the oldest villages in Bali and is renowned for the breadth of its traditional arts. Classified as a pioneer tourism village, Batuan possesses diverse tourism resources, including adequate road access, centers of mask, keris, and statue craftsmanship, historical temples, arts and cultural performances, nature-based attractions, ancient Balinese houses, agrotourism, restaurants, accommodation, souvenir kiosks, and institutional support in the form of a tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) and a formal village tourism management body. As a pioneering tourism village, Batuan requires harmonized tourism development that not only expands physical infrastructure but also strengthens human resource capacity so that the community is prepared to respond to tourism growth. This community service program, implemented by the Food and Beverage Service Study Program of Bali Tourism Polytechnic, aimed to enhance the hospitality competencies of local residents, particularly in relation to excellent service. The intervention took the form of a two-day training program combining theoretical sessions and practical exercises on banquet service and beverage service, delivered by lecturers and supported by students. The activity is expected to generate benefits for the tourism-aware community in Batuan Village in the form of improved understanding of excellent service, increased awareness of the importance of hygiene and sanitation in service delivery, and strengthened practical skills in serving beverages.

Abstract

Tourism villages offer a strategic approach to local economic development and cultural preservation. Celuk Village in Gianyar, Bali, is known for its silver craftsmanship and educational tourism activities. However, the sustainability of its tourism enterprises relies heavily on sound financial management. This community engagement initiative aimed to strengthen financial literacy and practices among local business actors—Silver Class workshops, tubing operators, restaurants, and village-owned enterprises (BUMDes)—through training, mentoring, and participatory evaluation. The results indicate improved participant understanding of financial recording, budgeting, and cash flow management. Questionnaire evaluations revealed high satisfaction levels (average score of 4.21 out of 5), with activity relevance and facilitator quality receiving the highest marks. This initiative demonstrates that strengthening financial governance is a strategic pathway toward empowering and sustaining tourism villages.

Abstract

Sidan Tourism Village as a tourism village assisted by the Tourism Destination Study Program has shown its existence in the stages of tourism village development. Through the assistance of training on tourism village governance, as well as training on strengthening product packaging and storytelling, Sidan Tourism Village has succeeded in exploring its tourism potential and has an online promotional media equipped with storytelling. However, the digital platform owned by Sidan Tourism Village has not yet shown a significant impact on tourist visits. The existence of limitations in digital marketing can be an obstacle in the development of Sidan Tourism Village. In addition, the demand for tourists to stay overnight in the tourism village creates opportunities for the provision of homestays. Based on the situation analysis, there are limited human resources in Sidan Tourism Village in marketing and preparing homestays at this time, creating a need for assistance that aims to improve the ability of local communities in marketing tourism products and managing homestays. This activity is expected to provide benefits in the form of community readiness to market tourism products and manage their homes to be used as homestays with standards in accordance with the tourism industry so as to increase the economic impact of the community directly.

Abstract

Mulyaharja Tourism Village in Bogor has strong potential to be developed as a local culinary tourism destination due to its rich organic food resources and traditional products, such as instant nasi liwet, banana blossom pepes, bottled chili paste, cassava chips, and herbal beverages. However, these products face challenges related to shelf life, hygiene standards, branding, and marketing. Local gastronomy is vital for strengthening destination identity, yet it requires packaging innovations and modern promotional strategies. This community service program was designed to enhance the competitiveness of local culinary products through the introduction of retort packaging technology and digital marketing training. Retort technology extends product shelf life without preservatives while maintaining flavor and nutrition. At the same time, digital marketing aligned with Marketing 4.0 enables direct consumer interaction and strengthens MSME branding. The results show that participants improved their understanding of modern packaging and gained practical skills in using social media for product promotion. This program demonstrates that the integration of food technology and digital marketing can empower rural communities, enhance culinary competitiveness, and support Mulyaharja’s development as a sustainable culinary tourism destination

Abstract

A tour guide is someone who provides information related to the destinations visited. A guide must continuously improve their knowledge, skills, and attitudes in carrying out their duties. Producing highly dedicated guides can be done through stages. One way is through Vocational High Schools (SMK) with a major in tourism. SMK Negeri 2 Semarang is one of the schools that has a Tourism Service Business Expertise Program (ULP). One of its concentrations is tour guiding. A program is needed to improve students' understanding of tour guiding techniques. This community service activity is one option for providing training for students. The goal is to improve students' understanding and skills in tour guiding techniques. The method used is a lecture by the community service team and direct practice by participants. The level of understanding was measured using a Likert scale calculation through a pre-test and post-test. The pre-test results showed a percentage index value of 77.71% - 83.43%, and the post-test ranged from 88.57% - 90.29%. There was an increase in the participants' understanding scores. Improving understanding is crucial for mastering a material. Understanding the material is essential in the learning process so that participants can practice correctly. This will ensure the desired results and reduce errors.
