Abstract

This research aims to create an information system in sub-districts in North Sulawesi that can be used easily by sub-district officials to process sub-district data and information. This research uses the Prototype Cycle method which has five stages, namely Quick Plan, Modeling Quick Design, Construction of Prototype, Deployment Delivery & Feedback, and finally Communication. The results of the development of this information system have been created and tested for use. From the test results, it was found that the website-based information system in the Tataaran 1 sub-district, South Tondano sub-district, can be used as a forum for collecting data and information for sub-district officials and can help the community with information related to activities in the sub-district and is easily accessible to all levels of society.

Abstract

Technology in the field of education can now be utilized with the aim of solving various existing problems, including students' learning problems at school. The aim of this research is to develop interactive learning media in network service technology subjects at Christian Vocational School 1 Tomohon as a tool in the learning process. The development method used is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method. This development method consists of 6 stages, namely: (1) Concept, (2) Design, (3) Material Collecting, (4) Assembly, (5) Testing, (6) Distribution. This learning media testing includes 3 tests, namely compatibility testing by media experts, material suitability testing by material experts, and usability testing by users. Making this learning media itself uses the Adobe Animate application. From the tests that have been carried out, the results show that interactive learning media in the network service technology subject at Christian Vocational School 1 Tomohon has no problems and is suitable for use as a tool for students and teachers in the learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health (K3) management system in the Light Vehicle Engineering Automotive Workshop at Cokroaminoto Vocational School, Kotamonagu, which is based on the Occupational Safety and Health Management System. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The research subjects were 3 respondents, namely 1 Head of Department, 1 Workshop Coordinator, and 1 Technician. Data was collected using a questionnaire and cross-checked with documentation and interviews. Testing the validity of the instrument is carried out through expert judgment. Data analysis is presented in the form of block graphs and presented briefly in tables in the form of percentages of achievement scores which are then categorized and described based on the sub-indicators. Based on the research results, the achievement of indicators in the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System in the Automotive Workshop for Light Vehicle Engineering at Cokroaminoto Vocational School, Kotamonagu, namely 73.57% achieved, falls into the sufficient category, because the implementation of K3 has been achieved sufficiently, so it is necessary to increase the implementation of K3 following the K3 management system. The obstacles that influence the implementation of SMK3 are the lack of awareness among students about the importance of K3, the absence of a special team that handles K3 at the Light Vehicle Engineering Automotive Workshop at SMK Cokroaminoto Kotamonagu and the lack of documentation at the Light Vehicle Engineering Automotive Workshop at SMK Cokroaminoto Kotamonagu. Efforts made to overcome obstacles are by providing direction and advice to students about the importance of K3 and students are advised to always use PPE when practicing. The need for a special team that handles K3 and documentation related to K3 must be improved so that the implementation of K3 in Automotive Workshops is run by regulations and legislation. When using tools, students must take part in maintaining and maintaining them so that the tools are not easily damaged and it is necessary to replace tools if one is damaged and add additional tools so that students do not have to take turns using the tools.

Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of the School Management Information System (SIMS) at SMK Negeri 1 Tomohon using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. School management, as a process of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling, is carried out by the school principal and his staff to achieve educational goals. The main goal of school management is to create an effective and efficient learning environment. Information systems, as entities with human, hardware, software, procedures, and data components, aim to collect, store, process, manage, and convey relevant information. SMK Negeri 1 Tomohon, as a vocational school in North Sulawesi, faces management challenges due to the use of conventional systems. Processes such as recording grades, registering students, compiling schedules, and collecting data on school fee payments often take time and are difficult. Therefore, this research is focused on implementing a School Management Information System using the programming languages PHP, HTML, CSS, and MySQL, with users consisting of Admin, Teachers, and Students, and using the RAD method. This research identifies problems in data management and school administration which are still manual, resulting in inefficiencies and potential errors. SIMS succeeded in making a positive impact with a structured interface, allowing easy access to information on grades, schedules, and learning activities. SIMS also facilitates systematic monitoring of student and teacher performance. This research concludes that SIMS can be an effective solution to support educational management at SMK Negeri 1 Tomohon with the potential for wider application in other school environments.

Abstract

The background of this research is that learning is still focused on the teacher. During the ongoing learning process in the classroom, it can be seen that students are not participating enough in learning because students only accept and are passive. There were only a few students who seemed to pay attention to the explanation and respond to questions from the teacher, while some other students were less enthusiastic, less attentive, and interested in following the learning process. This research aims to determine the effect of project-based learning, as well as determine the increase in student motivation and learning outcomes through the application of the project-based learning model. The method used in this research is a quantitative method of the Quasy Experiment type with the Static Group Comparison research design. The population in this study were all class X students at SMK Negeri 4 Talaud. Sampling used the Purposive Sampling technique. Class X Accounting is the experimental class and Class X TITL is the control class. Research data on students' Digital Simulation and Communication learning outcomes was obtained from the final test. Based on the analysis of the research data, it is known that the final test of Digital Simulation learning outcomes was calculated using the t-test with the result t count>ttable (2,731 > 22, which means that H0 was rejected at the α = 0.05 level. So from these results, it can be concluded that rejects H0 and accepts H1. So it can be concluded that the effect of using project-based learning on students' Digital Simulation and Communication learning outcomes is better than students who take conventional learning.
