Abstract

Moringa leaf chips are an innovative product from the creative industry of Indo Global Mandiri University students which has great potential to develop in local and international markets. However, the main challenge faced is the lack of knowledge and skills in digital marketing that can support product promotion and sales effectively. This workshop was held with the aim of increasing students' capacity in using digital marketing strategies to market Moringa leaf chips. This activity includes intensive training regarding creative content creation, social media management, search engine optimization (SEO), and the use of e-commerce. Apart from that, this workshop also provides mentoring and direct practice sessions to help participants apply the knowledge they have gained. It is hoped that the results of this workshop can increase students' knowledge about digital marketing, expand market reach, and increase sales of Moringa leaf chips as a superior product at Indo Global Mandiri University.

Abstract

Cooking oil that is used more than three times will be dangerous for the body. This is due to damage to the oil which will affect the quality and nutritional value of the food being fried and can have an impact on health. Karang Taruna Saras Muda is a community group consisting of young people in Palur Village, Sukoharjo Regency who are active in various activities, one of which is helping the community in creating a clean environment. The objectives of this PKM activity are (a) The aim of this empowerment is to provide education through socialization and training on making anti-mosquito candles (MOSquito BYE CANDELLA) to Karang Taruna Saras Muda partners in Palur Village and through mentoring to provide partners with the opportunity to learn entrepreneurship in utilizing the results of wax products from used cooking oil so that they can be accepted on the market. The PKM method starts with 3 stages, namely socialization, training, with the application of appropriate technology and marketing management training as well as mentoring and evaluation. The result of this PKM is that by evaluating the PKM implementation program, the aim is for partners to gain insight, knowledge and skills that are useful in managing used cooking oil waste and in particular for making anti-mosquito candles (Mos Bye Candella). The PKM activity implementation team hopes that this activity can increase the economic value of used cooking oil. Based on the results of PKM activities through making anti-mosquito candles from used cooking oil waste for the Palur Village Youth Organization, it went well and smoothly. The suggestion from PKM is to implement other innovations by utilizing used cooking oil waste to make other products that can be used by the wider community.

Abstract

As an effort to improve the quality and success of the simultaneous regional head elections (PILKADA) to be held in 2024, it is hoped that leaders can be elected who can bring progress to regions in West Sulawesi Province and Majene Regency. The success of a regional head election process cannot be separated from the level of community participation involved, and to increase public participation, it is necessary to strengthen political awareness to the community, including the younger generation, where almost 60% of the number of voters are the younger generation, so it is very important to be given strengthening political awareness to the younger generation, especially in Majene Regency. The purpose of this community service is to strengthen political awareness for the younger generation in facing the 2024 regional elections in Majene district. This service is in partnership with the National and Political Unity Agency (BAKESBANGPOL) and the Majene Regency KPU, involving lecturers and students of open universities and the University of West Sulawesi, with stages 1) Preparation; 2) Coordination with strategic partners; 3) Implementation of Focus Group Discusion 4) Carrying out socialization to strengthen political awareness among the younger generation in facing the 2024 regional elections in Majene district. The results obtained in this activity are expected to increase political awareness in the younger generation in facing the 2024 regional elections.

Abstract

This community service research aims to introduce and train teachers in utilizing artificial intelligence to create automated PowerPoint presentations using the SlideAI.io platform. The activity method involves introducing the platform to teachers, training them in its use, and evaluating the presentations created. The activity was conducted in schools in the city of Pontianak. The results showed a significant increase in the efficiency of presentation creation, enhanced appeal and effectiveness of presentations, and the potential for improving student interest and understanding of the learning material. This research contributes to the development of educational technology skills among educators, strengthens innovative teaching methods, and enhances the quality of education at the school level.

Abstract

Pengelolaan destinasi desa wisata sangatlah penting untuk dilakukan, terutama bagi desa yang sudah memiliki potensi wisata seperti di di Desa Ngadipuro, Kecamatan wonotirto, Kabupaten Blitar. Destinasi wisata yang ada di desa ini salah satunya adalah pantai pudak. Melalui program pengabdian masyarakat oleh mahasiswa ( PMM )ini melibatkan Universitas Islam Balitar (UNISBA) Blitar dan Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur (UPNVJT) dalam melaksanakan ceramah, observasi, wawancara, dan evaluasi terhadap pelatihan yang diberikan. Tujuannya adalah menambah pengetahuan para pengelola desa wisata dalam hal ini adalah pokdarwis melalui pelatihan manajemen pengelolaan desa wisata dan manajemen keselamatan wisatawan. Metode yang diterapakan melalui observasi, pelatihan pendampingan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa, kegiatan pelatihan ini berhasil memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman terkait manajemen pengelolaan desa wisata dan manajemen keselamatan wisatawan. Dengan adanya peningkatan kualitas SDM ini diharapkan pengelolaan destinasi wisata menjadi lebih baik, terarah dan terstruktur, sehingga dapat menarik wisatawan yang lebih banyak dan adapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat sekitar

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the production capacity, marketing, and business management of the "Mandiri" Fisherwomen Group (KWN) in Sungai Undang Village through the application of digital marketing and the standardization of shrimp paste products. The activities included training on packaging design, online marketing, financial bookkeeping using Android-based applications, and assistance in obtaining business permits such as NIB, PIRT, and Halal certification. As a result, KWN "Mandiri" members demonstrated significant improvements in their business management skills, with higher quality shrimp paste products and broader market reach. The acquired legal permits have opened up access to wider markets, while the entrepreneurial motivation instilled has strengthened the members' drive to develop their business. This program successfully empowered KWN "Mandiri" to compete in more competitive markets, enhancing their welfare and making a positive contribution to the local economy.

Abstract

Adolescent girls are more prone to anemia than boys. This happens because adolescent girls require more iron (Fe) as they lose iron during menstruation. Fatigue, weakness, dizziness, pallor, shortness of breath, impaired concentration, and decreased physical performance are common symptoms of anemia in adolescents. As future mothers of the nation, it is important to pay attention to the health of adolescent girls, including iron deficiency anemia. Prevention of anemia at a young age is beneficial for adolescent health and their cognitive abilities, as well as for the next generation, one of which is the prevention of stunting. The purpose of this service is to conduct health education about anemia, empowerment and simulation of making red spinach juice and dates in an effort to prevent and overcome anemia in adolescent girls at SMK NU 4 MAARIF PAKIS. The method in this service activity is to provide health education about anemia and simulation of making red spinach juice and dates. The result of this service is an increase in knowledge about anemia obtained from the pre-test results of 6.58 and post-test results of 9.34. Based on the above results, it can be concluded that the aim of increasing knowledge about anemia with health education is achieved and empowerment for anemia prevention by making red spinach juice and dates is achieved.

Abstract

The village of Regei Lestari, located in Teluk Sampit Subdistrict, faces significant economic and environmental challenges due to poorly managed coconut waste. This community service program aims to empower the wives of farmers, particularly members of KUB Harapan Jaya, through the implementation of the zero waste concept, transforming coconut waste into value-added products such as composters, nata de coco, and kokedama crafts. The program's implementation methods include socialization, training, and mentoring focused on enhancing management knowledge and skills as well as waste processing techniques. The results of the program show a significant increase in participants' knowledge and skills, which has the potential to improve family economic conditions and reduce negative environmental impacts. This program is essential because it not only enhances the economic welfare of the community but also promotes environmental sustainability through better waste management. In conclusion, the program successfully achieved its objectives in empowering the community and providing long-term benefits to Regei Lestari Village.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat menuntut sumber daya manusia yang unggul, terbuka terhadap teknologi, dan adaptif. Angka pengangguran terbuka Indonesia masih tinggi (4,82%) karena kebutuhan akan keterampilan dan kompetensi yang lebih banyak. Perguruan tinggi memiliki peran penting dalam menghasilkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Mahasiswa perlu dibekali dengan keterampilan yang relevan agar siap bersaing di dunia kerja, seperti kemampuan membuat konten dan desain grafis yang semakin dibutuhkan di era digital. Politeknik STIA LAN Bandung melalui inkubator bisnisnya menyelenggarakan Bicube Training Series (BTS) untuk meningkatkan kompetensi tersebut. Pada tahun 2023, kegiatan ini meliputi dua workshop yang berfokus pada digital branding dan menjadi content creator. Pelatihan ini menghasilkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap aspek-aspek penting seperti membuat desain konten yang menarik, penggunaan media sosial yang efektif, dan analisis data untuk mengukur strategi branding.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the welfare of corn farmers and poultry farmers in Tempursari Village by providing appropriate technology in the form of a corn grinding machine. The main problem faced is the high price of animal feed, especially corn grits. Through observations and interviews, it was found that farmers and ranchers did not have the knowledge and access to corn milling technology. The service activities include training on the use of the grinding machine, demonstrations, and the handover of the machine to farmer groups. Evaluation results show that this machine can increase the efficiency of feed production, reduce production costs, and increase the added value of corn. The active participation of the community in the training shows their high enthusiasm for this new technology. In conclusion, this service program has successfully provided an effective solution to the problems faced by the people of Tempursari Village. The presence of the corn grinding machine is expected to increase the income of farmers and ranchers and contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in the area
