Abstract

Every student has different abilities, this difference is due to the different stages of ability that students have. The purpose of this study was to describe students' thinking skills based on Van Hiele's learning theory. The subjects of this study were 15 students of class VIII SMPN 2 Makale. The instruments used were test descriptions and interviews. The results showed 93% who had the ability to think at the introductory stage (stage 0), 80% of students who had the ability to think at the stage of analysis (stage 1), 33% of students who had the ability to think at the sequencing stage (stage 2), and 20% of students. who has the ability to think at the deduction stage (stage 3). Thus, the thinking ability of iclass VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Makale based on Van Hiele's theory on cube and block material reaches stage 3 or the deduction stage.

Abstract

STEAM learning is one of the appropriate learning and support the demands of the 21st century. This learning is a contextual learning where children are invited to understand and observe the events that occur near them. Children need to be given the opportunity to relate to the surrounding environment which can be done through learning about the geographical environment. This study aims to determine the difference in the ability to understand the geographical environment between groups that use STEAM Learning with groups that do not use STEAM learning. The method used is quantitative with the type of research quasi experimental design that uses non-equivalent control group design. The samples used were 24 children with an age range of 5-6 years in kindergarten located in Kembangbahu District, Lamongan regency. This study used 2 kindergartens in Kembangbahu subdistrict, Lamongan regency consisting of an experimental group and a control group. The results showed that there is an influence of STEAM learning to understand the geographical environment of children aged 5-6 years as evidenced by the results of hypothesis testing post-test data obtained the value of asymmp. sig. (2-tailed) 0.004 is smaller than 0.05. In addition, there was an increase in the average value of understanding the geographical environment from pre-test to post-test after being given treatment in the form of STEAM learning in the experimental class.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : 1) Peran LKP Dina dalam menyiapkan calon wirausaha, 2) Dampak pelatihan LKP bagi peserta pelatihan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Sumber penelitian berupa pengelola LKP Dina, Instruktur dan Peserta Pelatihan LKP Dina. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi metode dan traingulasi teknik. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan Milles and Huberman yakni reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1) LKP berperan dalam mempersiapkan wirausaha melalui pemberian pelatihan dan pendampingan bagi peserta pelatihan dalam berwirausaha. 2) Dampak pelatihan LKP bagi peserta pelatihan yakni meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dalam berwirausaha bagi peserta pelatihan serta meningkatkan pendapatan peserta pelatihan.

Abstract

This article presents a study on the development of video animation assisted by Doratoon to enhance students' understanding of healthy food in fifth-grade elementary school. The research method used is research and development, and data collection is done through interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The findings show that students and teachers have a need for more varied and engaging learning media, and the development of video animation is seen as a solution to address this need. The article emphasizes the importance of using technology in education and the role of media in enhancing the learning experience. The study concludes that the video animation assisted by Doratoon on the theme of healthy food is of good quality and suitable for use. The evaluation results from individual and small group testing show that the video is practical and effective in improving students' understanding. The validation from media experts and thematic learning experts also confirms the validity of the video. Therefore, the video animation assisted by Doratoon can be used as an effective learning media to teach healthy food to students.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of ChatGPT, an AI-powered chatbot, as a learning aid in encouraging English language learning autonomy among Indonesian students enrolled in the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar (KMB) program. The study used a mixed-methods research approach that included questionnaires and semi-structured interviews to examine how English Language Learners utilize ChatGPT to regulate their learning processes, establish objectives, and make decisions about their English language acquisition. Additionally, the study explored how ChatGPT can be integrated into the KMB program to promote autonomy and personalized learning. Previous studies have shown that technology can promote autonomy in language learning. However, there is a need for more research on the specific role of ChatGPT in promoting autonomy in language learning. The study will contribute to language teaching and learning by providing insights into how ChatGPT can promote autonomy and personalized learning among ELLs in the KMB program. It also provides practical recommendations for language teachers and policymakers on integrating ChatGPT into language learning programs to promote autonomy and personalized learning.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan di SDN Jomblang Kecamatan Takeran, Kabupaten Magetan, Kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan berjalan kurang menarik untuk siswa, karena pembelajaran yang dilakukan disana kurang melibatkan siswa secara langsung didalam pembelajarannya, sehingga siswa merasa lebih mudah bosan dan terlihat pasif, ketika hanya mendengarkan penjelasan dari guru didalam kelas. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini berkolaborasi dan bekerjasama dengan guru pamong sekaligus guru kelas V di SDN Jomblang sebagai kolaborator dan juga berperan sebagai observer penelitian. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Jomblang, Kecamatan Takeran, Kabupaten Magetan. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi, dan soal posttest. Penelitian ini menggunakan model siklus dari Kurt Lewin yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dan masing-masing siklusnya terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dikatakan tuntas atau berhasil apabila rata-rata nilai peserta didik yang mencapai KKM 70 pada soal evaluasi atau posttest sebanyak 80%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengimplementasian pembelajaran diluar kelas dengan mata pelajaran IPA dalam materi siklus air tanah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa Kelas V di SDN Jomblang, Kecamatan Takeran, Kabupaten Magetan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa bahwasannya terjadi peningkatan keaktifan peserta didik ketika melakukan pembelajaran diluar kelas itu dapat dilihat dari hasil pembahasan dari prasiklus yang dilakukan peserta didik kurang akitf didalam pembelajaran, siklus 1 menunjukkan angka kenaikan menjadi cukup aktif dan yang terakhir pada siklus 2 peserta didik terlibat sangat aktif didalam pembelajaran yang dilakukan diluar kelas.

Abstract

Berdasarkan kegiatan observasi yang dilakukan dijumpai peserta didik yang pasif dan hanya menderngarkan penjelasan dari guru. Kurangnya antusias peserta didik dalam pembelajaran, hal lain terdapat dilihat dari soal yang diberikan kurangnya kemampuan pengembangan jawaban pada soal uraian, kurangnya analisa dalam pemahaman soal. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menerapkan analisis kualitatif dan kuantifatif. Penelitian ini juga berkolaborasi dengan guru kelas V berperan sebagai observer. Subjek pada penelitian ini kelas V SD Negeri 1 Bareng Kabupaten Ponorogo dengan jumlah 10 peserta didik terdiri dari 4 perempuan dan 6 laki-laki. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dengan dua siklus yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dikatakan berhasil apabila apabila rata-rata nilai peserta didik mencapai KKM 75 pada posttest sebanyak 80%. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Team Game Tournament (TGT) kelas V SD Negeri 1 Bareng Kabupaten Ponorogo dan diukur melalui masing-masing indikator berpikir kreatif (fluency, flexybility, originality dan elaboration. Nilai ketuntasan pra siklus 30%, pada siklus I 30% dan pada siklus II 80%. Ketercapaian indikator berpikir kreatif pada siklus I berpikir lancar 76% pada siklus II 90%. Berpikir luwes 70% dan siklus II memperoleh sebesar 90%. Berpikir orisinal siklus I 52% dan siklus II 78%. Berpikir elaborasi siklus I 54% dan siklus II 84%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze politeness in utterances of complaints in Japanese. Complaint utterances are essentially rude speech acts to convey negative feelings that tend to offend the other party's feelings, even so the speaker can consider politeness to maintain harmony in communication between humans. Complaint utterances are examined through sociopragmatics by using the strategy concept of Anna Torsbog's complaint strategy and Brown and Levinso's negative politeness. the first season of Naruto Shippuden anime which is analyzed through the stories told by the characters. The results of the study found that negative politeness pays respect, negative politeness questions, negative politeness is not optimistic.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of using contextual teaching and learning models on students' critical thinking skills. In this study, two classes of class X students at SMAN 1 Ciracap for the 2022/2023 academic year were selected as the experimental group that applied the CTL model, while the other classes became the control group that used the conventional model. Data was collected through pretest and posttest, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The results showed that students in the experimental group achieved higher scores compared to the control group, with an average N-Gain of 5.76 indicating a high increase in critical thinking skills. In addition, the significance value of the data is 0.000, which indicates a significant influence from the application of contextual teaching and learning models. In conclusion, it can be concluded that the model has a significant influence on students' critical thinking skills.
