Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this descriptive qualitative research was to describe content type and application of language in textbook used in elementary school at Kabupaten Garut. The research sample were 4 books of Indonesian language textbooks for elementary schools which is determined by questionnaire. Research found: (1) on the basis of purpose, language skills portion, representativeness of syllabus content, and teaching orientation it can be seen as a communicative book type (2) on the basis of students management it can seen as a traditional book type (3) on the basis of language use it can be seen as a good category.Abstrak: Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk melihat tipe isi dan penggunaan bahasa dalam buku ajar yang dipergunakan di sekolah-sekolah dasar yang ada di Kabupaten Garut. Sampel penelitian diambil empat buku ajar bahasa Indonesia SD yang dipergunakan di Kabupaten Garut yang ditentukan berdasarkan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) berdasarkan tujuan, porsi keterampilan berbahasa, keterwakilan isi silabus, dan orientasi pembelajaran termasuk tipe buku komunikatif; (2) dari segi pengorganisasian siswa termasuk tipe buku tradisional; (3) dari segi penggunaan bahasa termasuk kategori cukup baik.

Abstract

The essence of learning literature in schools is as a vehicle for inculcating values ​​and refining the attitudes and minds of students as members of society. The formation of individual character and attitudes can be instilled in the community through the teaching of literature in the education sector. Thus the teaching of literature in schools must be delivered with contextual content and fun methods. This service is carried out with the aim of providing an understanding for SMP and MTS teachers in order to understand contextual and fun literary lessons so that they can be used to overcome problems that occur in the community. The problem that is currently being faced by the world community is preventing the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak. This service is expected to help the government in instilling healthy living behaviors for the community through literature learning in schools. The results of this dedication show that teachers can easily develop literary teaching materials in the form of poetry texts, anecdotal texts and short stories, which are charged with inculcating healthy living behaviors for students. The benefit of this research is the composition of teaching materials that are contextual and in accordance with the demands of the curriculum and are useful for social life in society.

Abstract

Social media is a very important part of the life of modern society. Even though it is not a basic need, in this era, activities in social media have become an almost routine part of people from various backgrounds. The younger generation as part of society that is most responsive to technological advances has a high intensity in using social media. However, the level of thinking maturity of the younger generation who is still in the process of development often makes them less wise in using social media. Therefore, this community service activity aims to provide counseling to the younger generation to be wiser in responding to various issues that develop on social media, and can respond to them with smart steps. This community service activity is expected to provide benefits in the form of reducing social cases caused by the behavior of using social media that is not wise.

Abstract

Abstract The problem of media utilization is experienced by teachers in Pasirkiamis Kec. Pasirwangi Samarang Village, Garut Regency. The village is projected to be a training village because of the potential of human resources it has. These efforts are realized through the implementation of Community Service activities in related villages. The form of activity offered to the community is Training to Utilize Playstore Application for Improving Reading Teaching Skills. In general, this training aims to develop teacher media literacy competencies for the purposes of BDR activities by utilizing the Playstore application on their respective devices, building the independence of the target audience in utilizing media. Pasirwangi Samarang Garut Regency was able to utilize the Playstore application on their respective devices, building the independence of the target audience in utilizing the media, not only the Playstore application but also Google Classroom and Augmented Reality in PJJ or BDR activities during the pandemic, as well as the public perception of media literacy of teachers in Pasirkiamis Village, Pasirwangi Samarang District, Garut Regency by using a Media Literacy questionnaire based on individual competence framework is very high. Abstrak Permasalahan pemanfaatan media dialami oleh para guru di Desa Pasirkiamis Kec. Pasirwangi Samarang Kabupaten Garut. Desa tersebut diproyeksikan untuk dijadikan desa pelatihan karena potensi sumber daya manusia yang dimilikinya. Upaya tersebut direalisasikan melalui pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat di desa terkait. Bentuk kegiatan yang ditawarkan kepada masyarakat ialah Pelatihan Memanfaatkan Aplikasi Playstore untuk Peningkatan Kemampuan Mengajar Membaca. Hasil evaluasi mengarah pada beberapa simpulan di antaranya para guru di Desa Pasirkiamis Kec. Pasirwangi Samarang Kabupaten Garut mampu memanfaatkan aplikasi Playstore di gawainya masing-masing, membangun kemandirian khalayak sasaran dalam memanfaatkan media, tidak hanya aplikasi Playstore tetapi juga Google Classroom serta Augmented Reality dalam kegiatan PJJ atau BDR selama masa pandemi, serta persepsi khalayak mengenai literasi media para guru di Desa Pasirkiamis Kecamatan Pasirwangi Samarang Kabupaten Garut dengan menggunakan angket Literasi Media berbasis Individual Competence Framework sangat tinggi.

Abstract

Pengkajian dan penelitian terhadap puisi nadoman dilatarbelakangi karena terdapat makna yang mendalam dari setiap baitnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui struktur dan nilai-nilai puisi nadoman. Objek penelitian yaitu puisi nadoman “Maot teh Ngadodoho dan Siksa Kubur”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis struktur puisi nadoman “Maot teh Ngadodoho” dan “Siksa Kubur”, rima yang terdiri dari asonansi dan aliterasi didominasi oleh pengulangan bunyi vokal /a/. Irama ketika dilantunkan oleh penutur, irama yang terdengar memang terdengar sama pada pelafalan setiap barisnya, namun ada perbedaan jumlah ketukan yang terdapat setiap kata pada setiap barisnya. Gaya bahasa yang terdapat meliputi: majas personifikasi, sinekdok pars prototo, metafora, hiperbola, antripomorfisme, disfemisme, inversi, repetisi, dan pararelisme. Puisi nadoman “Maot teh Ngadodoho” bertema kematian. Puisi nadoman “Siksa Kubur” bertema Siksa Kubur. Nilai-nilai yang ditemukan meliputi nilai pendidikan aqidah, ibadah dan akhlak.Kata kunci  : Struktur, Nilai, Puisi Nadoman

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a process to shape human thinking styles in order to design machines to be able to behave like humans or also called Cognitive Tasks, namely from programmed information data that makes machines able to do work like humans are doing automatically. The purpose of the study is to see how influential Artificial Intelligence is in improving student achievement, especially in high school. This problem utilizes a quantitative approach with a survey model and in-depth interviews. The research survey used by researchers is online-based using the Google Form Platform. The results of this study explain that Artificial Intelligence can assist teachers in creating students who excel in learning, especially at the high school level. The conclusion of the research on the Effect of Artificial Intelligence at the Senior High School level in Improving Student Learning Achievement is that with the help of this Artificial Intelligence Technology, it helps teachers in achieving student competence in the teaching and learning process and students can also improve achievement in the learning process. The limitation of this study is that researchers only conducted research on the influence of Artificial Intelligence in improving student achievement at the senior high school level, researchers hope that future researchers can conduct the same research but at a higher level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Pemberitaan Media Online Kumparan.com Tetang Pelaku Asusila Seorang Ustad Berdasarkan Teori Sarra Mills. Berdasarkan judul tersebut, penulis mengungkap masalah representasi ustad dalam teks-teks berita yang dimuat dalam media online kumparan.com periode Desember 2021 dan Januari 2022. Teks berita tersebut dikupas berdasarkan pandangan pembaca setelah membaca pemberitaan tersebut. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan teori Sara Mills berkenaan dengan analisis wacana kritis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Dengan demikian penulis akan menjelaskan berita tentang perilaku asusila seorang ustadz dengan menggunakan kata-kata dari data yang telah dikumpulkan. Penelitian ini, mengingat lamanya waktu, penulis membatasi pada pemberitaan tentang perilaku asusila seorang ustadz di Bandung pada media online kumparan.com edisi Desember 2021 sampai Januari 2022. Teknik pengumpulan datanya berupa wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil wawancara dan dokumentasi dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian terhadap pemberitaan perilaku asusila seorang ustadz di Bandung menunjukkan bahwa ada kecenderungan memarjinalkan terhadap profesi ustadz dan lembaga pondok pesantren. Hasil lainya adalah bahwa pembaca dalam setiap penceritaan selalu diposisikan menjadi bagian dalam teks yang integral.

Abstract

Perkembangan pesat kecerdasan buatan (AI) telah memberikan dampak signifikan pada pengajaran penulisan, memicu antusiasme sekaligus kekhawatiran di kalangan pendidik. Merespons kondisi ini, sebuah program pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk membekali calon guru bahasa Inggris dan Bahasa Indonesia dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk mengintegrasikan perangkat AI secara tepat dalam instruksi penulisan. Program ini melibatkan 30 partisipan dan mengadopsi pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain partisipatif, yang mencakup pra-tes, pasca-tes, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipan mengalami peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan mengenai fungsi dan aplikasi pedagogis perangkat berbasis AI dalam pengajaran penulisan. Selain itu, mereka mengembangkan kesadaran kritis dalam memilih tingkat integrasi AI yang sesuai, mulai dari tidak ada penggunaan hingga aplikasi spesifik seperti penyusunan draf, parafrasa, dan revisi, disesuaikan dengan tujuan instruksional. Secara keseluruhan, program ini berkontribusi pada persiapan profesional calon pendidik dengan mempromosikan penggunaan AI yang etis dan strategis. Hal ini secara langsung mendukung upaya untuk mengurangi plagiarisme dan menjunjung tinggi integritas akademik dalam praktik penulisan siswa di masa depan.

Abstract

This teacher mentoring program significantly enhanced the understanding and capabilities of teachers in Garut Regency in integrating Project-Based Learning (PBL) and digital technology to develop students' presentation skills. Key indicators of success included high teacher enthusiasm and a shift in their mindset regarding the importance of oral communication in the digital era. Active collaboration among lecturers, students, and partner teachers not only fostered innovative project designs but also ignited a new spirit in creating learning environments that empower students to speak more confidently. Thus, the program has directly contributed to improving the quality of education in Garut, equipping students with essential 21st-century communication competencies. For sustainability, strengthening long-term collaboration, providing continuous digital learning resources, and conducting further impact studies to directly measure the program's effects on students are recommended.

Abstract

This study investigates Indonesian university students' responses to the pragmatic meaning conveyed by ChatGPT in the context of argumentative writing. Employing a qualitative approach, the research explores students' perceptions of the ease of understanding and utilizing the pragmatic cues embedded in AI-generated text, their attitudes toward using the tool, and their behavioral intention for continued use. Findings reveal that while students appreciate ChatGPT's usefulness and ease of use for generating argumentative content, their engagement with its pragmatic meaning is more nuanced. Students often modify AI-generated language to align with their own writing styles and perceived academic appropriateness, indicating a level of critical awareness. A writer's stance and attitude towards the argument are often conveyed through pragmatic choices. Students' modifications could reflect an effort to inject their own voice and perspective, which might be absent or inadequately represented in the AI-generated text.
