Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berfokus pada pelatihan guru Bahasa Indonesia di Kabupaten Garut untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar digital interaktif berbasis isu lokal. Inisiatif ini bertujuan meningkatkan minat literasi dan apresiasi sastra siswa di jenjang SMA. Dilaksanakan dalam tiga sesi intensif di SMA 18 Garut, melibatkan MGMP Bahasa Indonesia Kab. Garut, program ini berhasil meningkatkan literasi digital guru dan kemampuan mereka mengintegrasikan kekayaan budaya lokal ke dalam konten pembelajaran yang menarik. Peserta menghasilkan beragam prototipe digital interaktif, mulai dari e-book cerita rakyat hingga analisis puisi kaya visual. Pendekatan praktis ini mendorong pergeseran paradigma pengajaran, menjadikan sastra lebih relevan dan mudah diakses. Program ini juga memperkuat komunitas belajar profesional guru, menjamin inovasi berkelanjutan dalam pendidikan sastra.

Abstract

In the current digital era, the use of social media has become an integral part of people's lives. However, this technological advancement also brings challenges and impacts that need to be addressed, particularly at the local level, such as in Desa Jati, Tarogong District, Garut Regency. The purpose of this research is to understand the ethics of using information and communication technology (ICT) in online product marketing and to promote wise use of social media at the village level. This research will employ a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data will be collected through interviews with various relevant stakeholders in Desa Jati, Tarogong District, including the village head, Village Consultative Body (BPD) members such as small and medium enterprises (SMEs), villagers, youth groups, community leaders, and local government officials. Additionally, content analysis of social media will be conducted to observe usage patterns and their impact on the village community. The results of this study are expected to provide a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in building a wise digital society at the village level, as well as the ethics involved. Furthermore, strategies, education, and concrete steps will be proposed to ensure ethical practices in online promotion for the village, as it faces social changes resulting from digital technology advancements.

Abstract

The Garut sheep farming sector plays a crucial role in Indonesia's economy, especially in Garut Regency. However, farmers face challenges in ensuring a consistent and efficient grass supply for their livestock. The GrassApp, a technology-based grass supply search system, was developed to address these issues. This study aimed to evaluate the acceptance of GrassApp among Garut sheep farmers through a series of workshops and training sessions. The app, which uses GPS to locate grass supplies, is expected to improve feeding efficiency and productivity. Results indicate positive reception, with farmers acknowledging the app's benefits in saving time and resources. This study highlights the potential of technological innovations in enhancing agricultural practices, ultimately contributing to the sustainability of Garut sheep farming.

Abstract

The purpose of this pkm is to build and develop a digital library school at SMK AS-SALAM which may offer more effectivity and efficiency of managing the school’s library. The method used on this research is waterfall method, one of methodologies which refers to waterfall, in this case each phase goes downward systematically, they are requirements, design, implementation, verification and maintenance. Information system digital library school provides librarian to manage certain processes such as user management, book management, book reserve, book history, stock book report, book reserve report and book fines report. The system works well for administrator and members which are students and teachers. Every member would get the system access if administrator inputs members data. Therefore, librarian would be able to maximize their jobs in library with short amount of time than use traditional way such as write report or create library members card.

Abstract

The limited access to technology-based entrepreneurship training and the lack of practical mentoring present real obstacles for communities competing amidst the digital transformation. The primary problem lies in the inadequate understanding and skills needed to optimally utilize digital technology for business activities. The training method used included an opening session, a question-and-answer session, the implementation of the activity, and a closing session. The results of this community service activity identified that providing independent entrepreneurship training in the digital era provides a relevant contribution in encouraging the community to develop a deeper understanding of the integration of independent entrepreneurship into the context of everyday life. This training provides the community in Yogyakarta with a deeper understanding of independent entrepreneurship as a means of improving their entrepreneurial skills.

Abstract

The fact that digitalization still exists in the field can help MSMEs improve the efficiency of their financial management. Strengthening understanding of digitalization issues plays a crucial role in helping MSMEs improve their financial management efficiency. This community service activity involved lectures, collaboration, and mentoring to directly implement a simple financial management system for MSMEs in Garut. The results of this activity interpreted the simple yet effective digital-based financial management system. The training materials were designed based on the needs of MSMEs who desire a system that is easy, cost-effective, and can be directly applied to daily operations. Abstract

The problem is that students' understanding of the importance of entrepreneurial competencies in today's workplace is unequal. Many students still view entrepreneurship as a last resort, rather than a primary career path. The method employed emphasizes the integration of theory-based entrepreneurship training with hands-on practice through the utilization of the Campus Business Incubator. The results of this training activity indicate that, through the active use of the Campus Business Incubator, students gain not only knowledge but also real-world experience and mentoring relevant to current market needs. The success of this activity provides an important foundation for the Faculty of Entrepreneurship at Garut University to continue and develop similar programs on an ongoing basis. Incubation-based entrepreneurship training is highly effective in preparing students to become innovative and independent young entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Micro entrepreneurs lack the skills to utilize digital technology, particularly in managing online stores. Most still rely on conventional marketing methods that have limited reach and are inefficient. This community service activity is implemented through a participatory and collaborative approach, prioritizing the active involvement of micro-entrepreneurs as training participants. This method is designed to build an understanding that is applicable and relevant to the real needs of entrepreneurs. The results of this training indicate a significant impact on strengthening the capacity of micro-entrepreneurs to navigate the era of economic digitalization. The results achieved not only provide short-term benefits in the form of improved technical skills but also instill sustainable values, which are essential foundations for inclusive and resilient economic development. This training also encourages participants to begin considering sustainable economic principles in running their businesses. Therefore, this training not only equips participants with digital skills but also fosters the development of an adaptive, collaborative, and responsible entrepreneurial mindset, which is highly relevant to the goal of inclusive and sustainable local economic development.

Abstract

A lack of understanding and skills in proper financial record-keeping makes it difficult for business owners to manage cash flow, determine the cost of goods manufactured, measure business profitability, and access capital from financial institutions. This training method utilizes accounting management training in an entrepreneurial context, which can be delivered through a multifaceted approach, combining formal learning and hands-on practice in the field. This training utilizes a participatory approach, technical guidance, and the use of digital tools. The results of this community service activity identified that a comprehensive and practical accounting management training program is a strategic step to improve the ability of MSMEs to adapt and compete in an increasingly complex market. Accounting management training aims not only to provide technical knowledge but also to strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs as part of the broader economic system.

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease often referred to as a "silent killer" because it may develop without noticeable symptoms and can lead to serious complications if left untreated. Elderly individuals are among the high-risk groups who require special attention in efforts to prevent and control hypertension. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge of elderly residents regarding hypertension through health education as a preventive measure against further complications. The program was conducted in Parakan Village, Garut Regency, involving 30 elderly participants. The method used was health education combined with pre-test and post-test assessments to evaluate knowledge improvement. The results showed a significant increase in understanding after the session, particularly regarding the symptoms and prevention of hypertension. Another notable finding was that most participants had only elementary-level education, which influenced their receptiveness to health information. In conclusion, health education proved effective in enhancing the elderly's knowledge of hypertension and its potential complications. Periodic follow-up education and collaboration with local health services are recommended to sustain the impact.
