Abstract

Reliance on traditional practices and a lack of access to entrepreneurship training further exacerbate these conditions. The lack of financial literacy among tobacco entrepreneurs makes it difficult for them to maintain financial records, manage capital, plan long-term finances, and make strategic business decisions. This dependence on traditional practices and a lack of access to entrepreneurship training further exacerbate these conditions. The activity was implemented through a participatory and applied approach, with the aim of increasing the capacity of tobacco entrepreneurs in financial management and entrepreneurship literacy. The implementation method was divided into three main stages: preparation, training, and evaluation and follow-up mentoring. The results of this community service activity can improve the managerial capacity of tobacco entrepreneurs in Garut Regency, support their business growth, and contribute positively to the local economy. Through this activity, it is hoped that entrepreneurs will not only understand financial literacy but also be able to make strategic business decisions for future business sustainability. Therefore, training on the elements of financial literacy will help participants understand the importance of financial planning, cash management, and financial reporting.

Abstract

This community service program, titled "Strengthening Citizenship Education through Multidisciplinary Collaboration (PKn-Sociology): Examining the Impact of Globalization on National Identity Among Adolescents," was successfully implemented at SMAN 2 Garut. The program involved 131 adolescents aged 15-18 and aimed to enhance their understanding of globalization's influence on national identity. Employing a participatory and collaborative approach across preparatory, implementation, and evaluation phases, the initiative developed an interactive PKn-Sociology module. Quantitative results from pre-test and post-test scores revealed a significant 21% increase in participants' understanding of globalization, national identity, and digital literacy. Qualitatively, focused group discussions indicated heightened critical thinking in filtering digital information and a stronger appreciation for local cultural values. The program also fostered the creation of tangible outputs like digital posters and short educational videos, showcasing adolescents' transition into proactive agents of positive change. These findings affirm the effectiveness of multidisciplinary collaboration in equipping adolescents with robust national identity in the digital age.

Abstract

Mathematics education in Indonesia faces challenges in statistics and probability, often taught procedurally, leading to low student motivation and limited critical thinking. Teachers also struggle with scarce resources and outdated methods. Research-Based Learning (RBL) is proposed as an urgent solution, aligning with the Merdeka Curriculum, encouraging students to engage in the scientific process for deeper understanding. This community engagement initiative implemented RBL in statistics and probability for mathematics teachers in Garut Regency through a participatory teacher professional development approach. The workshop, based on the PPDAC framework, involved 30 teachers, training them to design contextual inquiry projects and analyze data using spreadsheets. A pre-assessment identified a competency gap, but post-assessment showed a 21% increase in teachers' understanding of RBL and statistics, along with improved confidence in project design. The program successfully enhanced teachers' technical competencies in teaching statistics innovatively, directly impacting the quality of learning in schools.

Pancasila, as the foundation of the state, plays a crucial role in building the character and morality of the younger generation. Instilling Pancasila values through a culture of literacy can strengthen their identity, given the challenges of globalization. The training was conducted through interactive activities involving discussions, educational games, and reading literature related to Pancasila and local culture. A participatory approach was chosen to encourage children's involvement and interest. The activity began with an introduction to the basic concepts of Pancasila and continued with games that encouraged teamwork. The training results showed a significant increase in children's interest in reading and their understanding of Pancasila values. Observations during the training revealed that children were more active in discussions and participating in games that taught values such as tolerance and cooperation. For example, in games that emphasized teamwork, children demonstrated improved abilities in working together and communicating with one another. This program is expected to produce a young generation that is not only academically intelligent but also has character and integrity.

Abstract

Integrating local issues into the Civics curriculum allows students to better connect with the realities around them. Issues such as environmental management, cultural diversity, and local social problems provide concrete examples that can be discussed in class. The mentoring training for Civics teachers was conducted through a collaborative approach that included the following steps: gathering information through surveys and discussions with Civics teachers to understand the challenges faced in implementing a curriculum that integrates local issues. The training results showed that the use of NLP tools, such as ChatGPT and other applications, helped students identify and correct errors in their writing. The success of the Civics teacher mentoring training in integrating local issues can serve as a model for other educational programs. The emphasis on collaboration between schools, communities, and local governments not only enriches students' learning experiences but can also lead to concrete solutions to existing social issues.

Abstract

The use of AI-based tools in learning has been demonstrated by numerous studies, demonstrating that this technology can improve students' writing skills. This training is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the technical and theoretical aspects of using NLP technology in the context of language education. The application of NLP tools helps students identify and correct common language errors in academic writing, such as grammatical and spelling errors. Participants conducted text analysis of academic texts they had written before and after the training. Using NLP tools, they were able to identify errors and areas for improvement. The analysis results showed a significant reduction in error frequency after applying the techniques taught during the workshop. This training has positively contributed to students' academic writing skills, providing them with new skills and increasing their motivation to learn.
