Jurnal Pengabdian Agro and Marine Industry (JPAMI) merupakan jurnal pengabdian perdana lingkup Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Teuku Umar. Jurnal ini memuat hasil-hasil pengabdian masyarakat baik yang dilakukan oleh dosen, dan atau mahasiswa-dosen. Adapun bidang kajiannya meliputi output pengabdian masyarakat baik berupa produk, protype, model dan output lainnya, khususnya di bidang agro/pertanian, marine/perikanan dan industry/UMKM-Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah. Namun demikian tidak menutup kemungkinan dari rumpun ilmu lain pada umumnya dan diutamakan yang subjeknya masih terkait dengan pertanian, perikanan dan industry. Lebih jauh lagi objek pengabdian berada dalam lingkup desa/daerah sekitar kampus, Kawasan Baersela/Barat Selatan Provinsi Aceh, Provinsi Aceh sendiri, Indonesia bahkan luar negeri. Publikasi jurnal pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan para dosen dan mahasiswa dapat berkontribusi dalam masyarakat dan pada akhirnya masyarakat dapat menerapkan output hasil pengabdian tersebut untuk meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat menuju perekonomian yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The progress of a country is inseparable from the stability of its human resources. A greater effort is needed in various fields, especially in education. This service aims to provide an understanding of campus selection for further studies that align with Indonesia's potential as an agrarian and maritime country. The activity is conducted every March each year for high school students on the southwestern coast of Aceh province, and currently for the 9th-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Samatiga. The method used includes lectures, question and answer sessions, and watching videos divided into three stages: introduction, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. The results of the community service show that students have an interest in continuing to higher education but are hindered by costs. Therefore, Teuku Umar University can be a solution due to its relatively close distance and affordable fees, with the hope that they will succeed in the future

Abstract

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) face challenges that continue to change along with technological developments and market dynamics. The service activity underlying this paper focuses on strengthening the adaptive and  flexibility of human resources (HR) of women MSME practitioner in Banda Aceh. The main objective of this activity is to improve the ability of MSME  practitioner to manage their businesses strategically, utilize social media, and develop an adaptive mindset to change. Through material delivery methods and interactive discussions, participants were encouraged to determine business priorities, use digital platforms that match the character of the product, and build courage in facing new challenges. The results of the activity show that this approach is effective in encouraging the improvement of managerial skills and mental readiness of MSME  practitioner to develop more competitively. Therefore, HR coaching can be a strategic step in strengthening the competitiveness of MSMEs in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Artikel ini fokus pada pengolahan kerupuk beras yang gurih dan sehat untuk memberi manfaat bagi berbagai komunitas di Desa Kuala Tereubu, Indonesia. Beras merupakan makanan pokok bagi banyak orang Indonesia, tetapi ada kebutuhan untuk mengurangi pemborosan makanan dan menciptakan alternatif camilan yang lebih sehat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan rumah tangga setempat, khususnya para ibu, dengan memberikan pendidikan dan pelatihan dalam memproduksi kerupuk beras dari sisa nasi. Metodologi ini meliputi survei pasar, studi kelayakan, dan proses pembuatan kerupuk beras yang sebenarnya. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa inisiatif ini tidak hanya menyediakan pilihan makanan ringan bergizi tetapi juga menumbuhkan kewirausahaan lokal dan meningkatkan keterlibatan masyarakat. Para penulis menyimpulkan bahwa dengan inovasi dan dukungan yang berkelanjutan, kerupuk beras dapat menjadi produk berkelanjutan yang berkontribusi pada pertumbuhan ekonomi di desa sambil mempromosikan kebiasaan makan yang lebih sehat.

Abstract

This community service project aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of mothers in Gampong Peunaga Pasi regarding the importance of providing nutritious food for toddlers. The activities included socialization, education on the nutritional status of toddlers, and the measurement of toddlers' weight and height using Z-scores to assess nutritional status. The methods used involved lectures, discussions, followed by nutritional status assessments and knowledge evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed that of the 15 toddlers measured, 12 had a good nutritional status, while 3 had inadequate nutrition. This initiative successfully enhanced the mothers' understanding of how nutritional status impacts toddler health, with 80% of participants showing improved knowledge after the socialization. Additionally, 90% of mothers reported adopting healthier eating habits for their children. It is recommended that the program be continued, involving more stakeholders to ensure sustained behavioral changes and improve the nutritional health of toddlers in Gampong Peunaga Pasi.

Abstract

Berdasarkan laporan kesehatan Puskesmas Meutulang, Gampong Meutulang memiliki banyak masalah kesehatan, salah satunya di bidang kesehatan, yaitu kesehatan ibu dan anak serta kesehatan remaja perempuan. Masalah kurangnya perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat, kurangnya pengetahuan tentang pentingnya tablet zat besi untuk remaja perempuan. Kurangnya perhatian dan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya keluarga berencana, pemberian ASI eksklusif, imunisasi dan pemberian makanan tambahan untuk balita, kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat dan stigma masyarakat yang salah, sehingga sulit bagi perangkat desa untuk menangani masalah tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penulis dan rekan-rekan dari PBL II Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Teuku Umar melakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan terkait kesehatan ibu dan anak serta kesehatan remaja perempuan dengan melaksanakan program penyuluhan dan menghadirkan TOGA (Tokoh Agama) untuk mengubah stigma yang salah masyarakat terkait imunisasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di dua lokasi penyuluhan di SMP N1 Panton Reu dan Posyandu di Gampong Meutulang. Dengan menerapkan layanan ini, dapat meningkatkan kesadaran, pengetahuan, dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat.

Abstract

The mawah concept, a traditional form of profit-sharing cooperation, has long been rooted in the economic culture of Acehnese society. This system emphasizes mutual trust and equitable collaboration between livestock owners and caretakers, embodying values of solidarity and social justice. However, its practice is declining due to modern capitalist influences and a lack of institutional support. This community service project aimed to revitalize and strengthen the mawah system in the context of cattle farming within palm oil plantation areas in Teupin Panah Village, West Aceh. Utilizing methods such as field surveys, educational seminars, and interactive discussions, the project involved 35 local farmers and plantation workers. The program successfully introduced the mawah system as a fair and sharia-compliant model of economic cooperation, especially for community members with limited capital but agricultural expertise. Results indicated high participant engagement and a willingness to adopt the mawah system formally. The initiative highlights the potential of local wisdom to support sustainable community-based economic development through integrated livestock-plantation farming. Continued mentoring and institutional support are recommended to ensure long-term implementation and impact..

Abstract

The homemade snack food business is rapidly growing due to the high interest of the community in a variety of food options. Homemade food products are chosen because they are considered to have better quality and cleanliness. For example, sweet potatoes are processed into chips, and equipment such as sweet potato slicers and pots for frying sweet potatoes are crucial factors in determining the outcome of the chips. Initial observations with partners indicate difficulties in slicing and frying sweet potatoes due to limited equipment. Partners only have a double-edged knife for slicing sweet potatoes, resulting in unfulfilled customer orders. Emmi Snack Business faces challenges in meeting customer orders and requires innovation in attractive and secure packaging to ensure product quality.In this community service initiative, the main goal is to provide simple technological tools such as sweet potato slicers and fryers to increase production, as well as packaging equipment such as a vacuum sealer. This initiative also includes training on the use and maintenance of the equipment, as well as training on business management and simple bookkeeping. The results of this initiative will be published through scientific articles covering the service process and the achievements attained.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pelatihan pembuatan tempe terhadap guru-guru Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Negeri Meulaboh sebagai metode pengembangan pendapatan tambahan. Metode penelitian yang dipilih adalah studi eksperimental yang melibatkan sepuluh guru (usia dari berbagai kategori, yaitu dasar, menengah, dan atas) yang bekerja di SLBN Meulaboh. Durasi pelatihan adalah satu hari dan mencakup teori dan praktik. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimental pada 10 guru SLB dari berbagai kategori (Dasar, Menengah, Atas) di wilayah Meulaboh. Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama satu hari, mencakup teori dan praktik pembuatan tempe. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa para guru memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan baru dalam membuat tempe. pada akhir pelatihan, para peserta berhasil membuat tempe berkualitas sangat bagus. Hasil dari analisis kualitatif adalah bahwa 35 % guru merasa  percaya diri pada keterampilan pembuatan tempe dan mencoba untuk mengajarkannya pada anak-anak, dan 65 % dari rata-rata guru-guru tersebut berencana menjadikan pembuatan tempe kegiatan  sampingan yang mampu mereka terapkan. Tantangan utama yang diidentifikasi meliputi adaptasi proses untuk siswa dengan keterbatasan fisik tertentu dan membutuhkan peralatan khusus. Kesimpulan pelatihan secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan pembuatan tempe efektif meningkatkan kapasitas guru SLB dalam mengembangkan program keterampilan vokasional. Meskipun demikian, inisiatif semacam itu tidak mungkin tanpa bantuan dari pihak eksternal. Selain memberikan dampak ekonomi yang sangat penting, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting tentang potensi integrasi keterampilan pembuatan tempe sebagai bagian dari pendidikan vokasional inklusif di SLB Negeri Meulaboh.Kata Kunci: Pendapatan, Pembuatan tempe, Guru Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Negeri Meulaboh

Abstract

Agriculture and plantations in Indonesia are very worthy of competing to seize market opportunities in the era of free trade. in this Community Service (PKM) activity, holding and providing counseling to the Teupin Panah,Kecamatan Kaway XVI Aceh Barat. preparing facilities and locations to carry out activities. the goal is that the expected results are useful and beneficial and also right on target for the community and designing a schedule, the first stage was carried out in May 2023, and June 11, 2023. lecture and discussion methods. economic empowerment by forming cooperatives and savings and loans, added value for the community by processing oil palm fronds into fertilizer, and the leaves can be used to weave mats, and no less importantly, ribs can be used as handicrafts. By carrying out Community Service activities, it is beneficial for academics. especially the knowledge that is directly obtained and provides a real contribution to the community in increasing income.
