Abstract

Digital transformation in education requires teachers to effectively utilize technology as a medium for collaboration and professional development. This community service program aims to enhance the competencies of elementary school Physical Education (PE) teachers in implementing the Lesson Study and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approaches through the integration of Trello as a digital discussion forum. The program was conducted through several stages: socialization, training, mentoring, technology implementation, evaluation, and program sustainability, involving 36 participants from the Elementary School PE Teachers Working Group (KKG PJOK) in Banjarbaru. Trello was implemented to facilitate lesson planning, peer observation, reflection, and collaborative task management. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests, post-tests, and observations of collaborative learning activities. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of the Lesson Study stages and the implementation of PjBL, with more than 90% of participants able to identify the Lesson Study phases, relevant Trello features, and product-based PjBL assessments. These findings indicate that the use of Trello can enhance digital literacy, collaborative skills, and teachers’ readiness to apply innovative learning practices. The program is recommended to be continued and further developed as a sustainable professional development model for PE teachers in the digital era.

Abstract

The International Community Service Program (KKN Internasional) in Malaysia aims to improve basic farming skills among children aged 8 to 12 by teaching mustard seed sowing as a practical learning activity that involves direct hands-on experience. The program was implemented through interactive counseling, live demonstrations, and intensive guidance to ensure that participants fully understood the technical steps involved in seed sowing, transplanting seedlings, and plant care. The results of the program showed that rockwool media provided better plant growth compared to cotton and cocopeat, as indicated by superior plant height and leaf number at each observation stage. The children’s ability to perform the sowing process independently significantly increased, along with their interest in agricultural activities. This program also helped develop values of responsibility, independence, and environmental awareness from an early age. The outcomes indicate that simple agricultural education is highly effective as a learning medium for character building and food literacy within migrant communities. It is recommended that such activities be continuously implemented to strengthen household food security and support the development of non-formal education based on agricultural practices.

Abstract

Elderly is a condition where individuals have a high risk of developing degenerative diseases such as Coronary Heart Disease (CHD), hypertension, diabetes mellitus, rheumatism, and cancer. However, the most common disease in the elderly is hypertension. Hypertension can be caused by various risk factors that vary such as family history, increasing age in different genders. Men tend to have higher blood pressure at a young age than women. High blood pressure can be overcome with non-pharmacological management, one of which is with boiled bay leaves. Bay leaves contain flavonoid compounds, where flavonoids containing quarcertin have an effect as a vasodilator, antiplatelet, and antiproliferative and lower blood pressure, the result of oxidation and repair of body organs that have been damaged by hypertension. Objective: To provide knowledge and understanding to the community about hypertension therapy using boiled bay leaves. Method: Community service activities were carried out in Padelegan Village, Pademawu District, Pamekasan Regency on September 24, 2025. The number of participants was 20 elderly people. Blood pressure measurement using a tensiometer measuring instrument with grouping where normal conditions are if SBP≤120/80 mmHg, normal-high=130-139/85-89 mmHg, grade 1 hypertension=140-159/90-99 mmHg, grade 2 hypertension=160-179/100-109 mmHg and hypertension grade SBP≥180/110 mmHg. Therapeutic action by drinking boiled bay leaves water ±60 ml with a frequency of 2x a day before each meal for 1 week. Results: Obtaining data on blood pressure measurements of respondents before therapy with boiled bay leaves, most of them were in normal-high conditions, namely 13 (65.0%), while after therapy most were in normal conditions, namely 7 (35.0%). Conclusion: Bay leaf decoction therapy has an effect in lowering blood pressure in elderly with hypertension. Increasing knowledge of non-pharmacological therapy has an impact on the confidence of the elderly in controlling their blood pressure. Suggestion: The community can apply knowledge of bay leaf decoction therapy independently as a control for elderly people with hypertension and share knowledge with families, the environment and other areas where the incidence of hypertension is still high but have not yet received knowledge of bay leaf therapy.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PKM) in Adiluhur Tourism Village was implemented to address challenges faced by the SALUR Sustainable Food Garden (P2L), which previously lacked structured management, documentation, and integration with the village’s tourism sector. Initial observations revealed the absence of standard operating procedures, weak production records, and limited digital identity, resulting in minimal added value for both food security and tourism. This program aimed to strengthen P2L’s management capacity, integrate it into educational agro-tourism, and establish digital branding through official platforms. The implementation method was comprehensive, consisting of situational analysis, technology development, capacity-building training, intensive mentoring, and evaluation. Key innovations included the introduction of the Telang Dry infrared-based flower dryer, which improved product quality and efficiency, and the creation of an interactive marketplace website to support digital marketing and storytelling of local products. Training activities covered SOP-based management, production documentation, organizational structuring, digital marketing, and tourism integration, delivered through participatory workshops involving community members, youth, and local tourism actors. The program outcomes demonstrated significant improvements: P2L management is now documented with SOPs and organizational structures, agro-tourism packages have been developed, and digital branding has been established through an official website and active social media. These transformations distinguish the post-program condition from the previous state, contributing to enhanced food security, local economic growth, and the visibility of Adiluhur Tourism Village as a sustainable educational destination. The success of this initiative highlights the effectiveness of the training–mentoring–technology approach and its relevance to achieving SDGs and higher education performance indicators.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the digital and pedagogical competencies of teachers at SD Penggilingan 01 Jakarta through training and mentoring on the development of digital learning materials using the flipped book approach. The program was conducted over four months (October 2024–January 2025) and involved 20 teachers from various grade levels. The implementation process included four main stages: needs assessment, training and workshop, classroom mentoring, and evaluation.The pre–post test results indicated an average improvement of 47.6% in teachers’ competencies, covering the understanding of digital media design skills and multimedia integration. Ninety percent of the participants successfully created their own flipped books relevant to their teaching subjects. Teachers also demonstrated greater confidence and creativity in integrating digital tools into their lessons. The impact was evident on three levels: teachers became more innovative, students showed higher enthusiasm and learning independence, and the school gained a sustainable digital learning model. This program highlights that flipped book–based training is an effective pedagogical strategy to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and foster a more adaptive digital learning ecosystem in elementary education.

Abstract

Community service in bagan deli district is a district located in the city of medan which is a distance of 22.5 km for 32 minutes from Dharmawangsa University. Community service is a follow - up between the cooperation that has been done between the University of Dharmawangsa with KPPI in medan belawan district office. This activity was carried out by socializing the law with the theme “Prevention of teenage brawl violence in Bagan Deli Village”. This theme is a very important issue to be conveyed and known so that the public knows the legal consequences of violence among adolescents. The service team carried out this service as a form of concern for the people of bagan deli village by discussing the theme of Service and the service team did not provide restrictions to participants to provide questions with problems of preventing teenage brawls. This service was held on October 22, 2025 by meeting directly with the participants by conducting stages, namely preparation, implementation, and results. The results of the implementation of these activities were evaluated by the pengabdi team on community knowledge about brawl prevention after the pengabdi team socialized so that the information submitted to the community could be accepted as a whole.

Abstract

This Community Service is an activity of a lecturer from Institut Bisnis dan Informatika Kesatuan (IBIK) Bogor with a Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) actor, namely Sweet & Tasty. The aim of this activity is to encourage awareness and compliance in tax reporting. This activity is carried out as feedback from the needs analysis action (need survey) that has been carried out by the IBIK team with Sweet & Tasty. We applied two methods for our activity, first, we provided an explanation to improve their literacy about taxes, and second, in a sharing session, we emphasized the importance of tax reporting. The program's implementation method included a live lecture explaining tax concepts, the tax reporting process, and the benefits of tax compliance for business sustainability. Additionally, an interactive discussion session was included to provide participants with a consultation space regarding any tax issues they faced. The results of the program demonstrated an increase in participants' understanding of tax obligations and awareness of the importance of tax reporting as part of good business governance. This program is expected to encourage MSMEs to be more compliant with tax administration, thereby strengthening their business credibility and sustainability.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve disaster preparedness and environmental management skills among students and educators at Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) An-Nur Sidoarjo through the development of EDUBIMA learning media based on Augmented Reality (AR). The background for this activity is the high vulnerability of the Sidoarjo region to disasters and the low level of disaster knowledge and preparedness in the pesantren environment. The implementation methods include the development of AR learning media, interactive education, disaster response simulations, and evaluation using pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed a significant increase in disaster mitigation knowledge, from a low category of 56% to a high category of 70% after the intervention. This activity concludes that the use of AR-based EDUBIMA is effective in increasing disaster literacy and encouraging better environmental management behavior in the pesantren environment.

Abstract

Many people still do not understand what is meant by Pancasila from its origins, the meaning of Pancasila and the values in life in the nation, state and society. Initially, the TNI, which had the ambition to form a Pancasila village in Mojorejo Village, Jetis District, Ponorogo Regency, East Java, has been formed into a Pancasila village. The problem faced in Mojorejo village is that since the formation of the Pancasila village, there has been no socialization about the program activities in the Pancasila village. The goal is to provide the community of Mojorejo village, Jetis District so that the community understands the meaning of Pancasila values in community life. The method in this service begins with a survey in Mojorejo Village, conducting a comparison with the Pancasila village in Bekasi. Interviews with village officials (village secretary), Submitting a service permit letter, a reply letter permitting service in Mojorejo Village, implementation of service by providing counseling. Then make a report. The result is that the village officials and PKK mothers of Mojorejo village understand the practice of Pancasila values which are not focused on just one principle but the five principles can be implemented in family, community and village officials in carrying out village management activities in Pancasila villages both in deliberation, and policy making, as well as managing the village economy.

Abstract

This parenting-based educational mentoring program is being implemented as an effort to increase the knowledge, skills, and awareness of parents in Mataloko Village, Golewa District, Ngada Regency in implementing appropriate and effective parenting patterns for their children. The mentoring activities are carried out through the delivery of materials, discussions, and direct practice related to effective parenting patterns for the formation of children's character, emphasizing the importance of positive communication, consistent discipline, and providing role models in the character-building process. Through this program, parents are guided to understand their important role as the first and primary educators in the family, as well as how daily parenting patterns directly impact the development of children's character. The results of the activity indicate that parenting mentoring can improve parents' understanding of effective and appropriate parenting strategies for children. Parents become better able to manage emotions, build closeness with their children, and implement rules that support the formation of positive character traits such as responsibility, independence, and discipline. This program also provides a space for reflection for parents to re-evaluate their parenting practices. Therefore, the educational mentoring activities on effective parenting are expected to be a concrete step in strengthening the quality of parenting in Mataloko Village, Golewa District, Ngada Regency, so as to create a generation of children with good character and ready to face future challenges.
