Abstract

To ensure that micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia implement the Digital Payment System Integrity (QRIS), effective monitoring efforts involving social responsibility are required. The purpose of this dedication to the community is to find out how UMKM perpetrators understand QRIS integration and the problems they face. The implementation methods used include direct support, surveys, transaction monitoring, practical training, and understanding of QRIS and digital payment systems. Therefore, Commitment to the Society provides guidelines for implementing commitment initiatives in the community that focus on QRIS integration for small and medium-sized enterprises. (UMKM). In addition, this PkM will help to expand financial inclusion and inclusive economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

This community service program aims to implement the digital da'wah revolution 4.0 at PCM Tanjung Karang by utilizing information technology to reach a broader and more effective audience. In the PCM Tanjung Karang area, religious activities conducted in mosques have not been well-documented, and the use of technology in da'wah remains limited. Consequently, there are constraints in disseminating information to the congregation. To address this issue, this program proposes the development and management of social media platforms and an official PCM Tanjung Karang website as tools for documenting, publishing, and accessing da'wah activities. Additionally, digital media management training for mosque administrators, as well as the preparation of activity calendars and reports in digital formats, are carried out to enhance the capacity of mosque administrators in managing technology-based da'wah. The results of this initiative indicate a significant improvement in the documentation and publication of da'wah activities, as well as easier access to information for the congregation. Although there are certain challenges in managing digital platforms, this program is expected to serve as an effective and sustainable model for digital da'wah implementation in other mosques within the region.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the main challenges in global health with a high incidence rate, including in Indonesia. In Yogyakarta, the diabetes prevalence rate reaches 3,6%, with a significant number of patients experiencing serious complications such as diabetic wounds that can lead to amputations. Purpose: This study aims to expand the public’s knowledge and awareness of clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS) as an effort to prevent wound complications in diabetes mellitus patients. The community service activity was conducted in Dusun Panggunan Trihanggo, Gamping, involving 25 elderly participants. Methods: The method applied includes outreach in the form of lectures and interactive discussions through question and answer sessions, supplemented by pre-test and post-test to assess the improvement in participants knowledge, with a p-value of 0,03 (p <0,05). The participants enthusiasm was reflected in the numerous questions asked during the Q&A sessions. Conclusion :  Education about PHBS has a significancy positive impact on the community of diabetes mellitus patients, enhancing their understanding of the importance of maintaining cleanliness to prevent wound complications. This activity demonstrates that health education is effective in raising awareness and knowledge among the community regarding the health issues they face.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out with the primary objective of enhancing the professional competence of mathematics teachers at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) level in Mataram City, particularly in the teaching of geometry. Recognizing the importance of mastering digital technology in modern mathematics learning, the program focused on the introduction and application of GeoGebra as an interactive medium for teaching geometry concepts. The activities were conducted at the Basic Computer Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Mataram, involving 18 MTs mathematics teachers. The program consisted of introducing fundamental concepts of geometry, hands-on training on the technical use of GeoGebra, and an evaluation of learning outcomes through pre-tests and post-tests. The evaluation results indicated an improvement in participants’ scores, demonstrating the effectiveness of the training. The teachers’ enthusiasm was evident from their active participation in discussions, asking questions, and exploring GeoGebra’s features during the training. The pre-test results showed that participants scored between 7 and 20, with an average of 13.56. Following the post-test, scores improved significantly, ranging from 20 to 28 with an average of 24.89. This confirms that all teachers, without exception, experienced an increase in scores. The positive impact of this program is expected to contribute to improving the quality of mathematics teaching at the MTs level.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menjawab permasalahan yang dihadapi guru MTs dalam mengajarkan materi geometri dan penerapan pendekatan pemecahan masalah (problem solving). Fokus kegiatan adalah pada pendalaman filosofi dan konsep dasar geometri, serta pelatihan penerapan problem solving dalam pembelajaran. Pada pelatihan penguatan konsep geometri, peserta mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai makna konseptual di balik sifat-sifat bangun datar dan ruang, relasi antar-teorema, serta relevansinya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan lebih dari 80% peserta mampu memahami filosofi konsep geometri dan mengaitkannya dengan strategi pembelajaran. Sementara itu, melalui pelatihan problem solving, guru dilatih untuk mengenali tahapan pemecahan masalah mulai dari memahami persoalan, merancang strategi, melaksanakan solusi, hingga merefleksi hasil. Sebanyak 70% peserta berhasil menyusun perangkat pembelajaran berbasis problem solving yang aplikatif di kelas. Efektivitas kegiatan ini juga ditunjukkan melalui hasil pre-test dan post-test, di mana seluruh peserta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman, dengan beberapa mencapai peningkatan skor hingga 75 poin. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan pengabdian ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual guru terhadap geometri, keterampilan pedagogik berbasis problem solving, serta kepercayaan diri dalam mengajar matematika secara lebih bermakna dan kontekstual.

Abstract

Coffee is one of Indonesia’s key commodities that plays a vital role in the national economy and serves as a livelihood for rural communities. Peron Village in Kendal Regency has strong potential in coffee production, yet its marketing remains limited to selling raw beans with low economic value. This study aims to enhance the competitiveness of coffee products through a workshop on packaging, marketing, and branding, focusing on Peronara Tea (cascara) and Kopieron product. The method applied a participatory approach involving the local community, especially the Sekar group, and invited speakers from the Kendal Office of Trade, Cooperatives, and MSMEs. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test instruments to measure participants’ understanding, and analyzed with the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores, confirming improved knowledge and skills in food-safe packaging techniques, digital-based marketing strategies, and brand identity development. Therefore, the workshop effectively strengthened the capacity of Peron villagers to manage value-added coffee products. Overall, the program not only fosters more competitive and sustainable coffee-based products but also reinforces local identity, positioning them as potential economic icons of the village.

Abstract

Teenagers are one of the assets owned by a nation and will become the nation's next generation. To optimize the demographic bonus, it is necessary to prepare as well as possible, one of which is by providing outreach regarding anemia. Anemia is known to be an aspect that affects development, especially in women. This outreach is aimed at increasing knowledge related to anemia. This activity is carried out by providing counseling or outreach through leaflets and material handbooks. The results of this activity can increase the participants' knowledge. This increase can be seen from the pretest and posttest scores.

Abstract

Karang Sidemen Village is an area with a majority population that relies on the agricultural and livestock sectors. However, livestock waste, especially cow urine, is often not utilized properly and has the potential to pollute the environment. This community service program aims to increase public knowledge and awareness in processing cow urine livestock waste into liquid organic fertilizer (POC) through a fermentation process, so that it can provide added economic value, reduce environmental pollution and support sustainable agriculture. This activity is carried out with a structured method in socialization activities starting from the participation of the Women Farmers Group (KWT) and the Ngiring Maju Farmers Group in Karang Sidemen Village. The processing process is carried out by collecting cow urine from the pen with an adequate drainage system, then fermented using EM4 as a starter. Fermentation is carried out for 14 days in an airtight container, followed by an aeration system to eliminate the smell of ammonia. The results of the activity show an increase in public understanding of livestock waste management and the ability to produce POC independently. The POC produced has a high nutrient content such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium which are useful for binding soil fertility and increasing plant productivity. This activity not only reduces waste that pollutes the environment but also provides an alternative to chemical fertilizers that are more economical and environmentally friendly. In addition, this program provides added economic value to the community by opening up new business opportunities through the production and marketing of liquid organic fertilizers. With this activity, the community not only gains new skills, but is also encouraged to be more independent and productive in utilizing abundant local resources, while supporting sustainable village development.

Abstract

Local culture is a collective identity that is an important foundation for development based on local wisdom. However, the flow of globalization and modernization has caused the erosion of cultural values, especially among the younger generation. This community service activity aims to increase awareness and active participation of the younger generation in preserving local culture in North Lombok Regency. The method used was holding a cultural discussion forum which was held on February 11, 2025 in the Hall of the North Lombok Regent's Office, involving 100 participants from youth elements, policy makers, cultural figures, and the arts community. The results of the activity showed high enthusiasm and active involvement of youth in the discussion, as well as the emergence of a number of strategic recommendations, such as the integration of cultural values ????in the education curriculum, strengthening the role of women and indigenous communities, and utilizing digital technology for cultural promotion. The conclusion of this activity shows that cross-sector and generation forums are able to encourage the formation of a sustainable cultural ecosystem, adaptive to developments in the times, but still based on local values ????that are the main strength of the North Lombok community.

Abstract

Geometry is one of the fundamental topics in mathematics, playing a crucial role in understanding shapes, sizes, positions, and spatial relationships between objects. Mastery of this concept is essential; however, in practice, many students still struggle to grasp geometry material. This issue is also evident at SMA Negeri 1 Pujut, where several students demonstrate a low level of understanding of geometric concepts. In response to this problem, the aim of the research is a community service activity was carried out in the form of tutoring sessions focused on improving students' understanding of geometry. This activity employed a visualization approach through function graph sketches to help students better comprehend the interconnections between concepts in a more concrete way. Based on the evaluation results, data showed that 86.67% of students exhibited improved learning outcomes after participating in the activity. This achievement indicates that the instructional method used by the facilitators was quite effective and well-received by the majority of participants.
