Abstract

The Teaching Campus Program is an important initiative to improve the literacy and numeracy skills of elementary school students in Indonesia. The aim of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of these programs in achieving their goals using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Of the seven articles analyzed starting from campus programs teaching classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, it was found that these programs succeeded in increasing students' interest in learning, reading, writing and numeracy skills, as well as strengthening their personality and social skills. A holistic approach that includes the use of technology and community involvement has proven effective in creating a supportive learning environment. However, challenges such as program consistency and resource support must be addressed to ensure long-term sustainability. Therefore, these programs have great potential to improve the quality of basic education in Indonesia, but further efforts are needed to maximize their impact.

Abstract

Background: Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that attacks lymphocytes, leading to a gradual decline in the body's immune system and increasing susceptibility to various diseases, including Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). Men who have sex with men (MSM) are at a higher risk of contracting HIV/AIDS due to unsafe sexual behavior. Objective: This scoping review aims to explore the factors associated with safe sexual behavior in MSM Living with HIV. Method: The scoping review is based on the framework by Arksey and O'Malley. A literature search involved various databases, such as EBSCO, PubMed, Science Direct, and CINAHL I, with the keywords: "Factors Associated" AND "Safe Sex Behavior" AND "Men Who Have Sex With Men OR MSM OR LSL". The selection process for research articles involved the use of inclusion criteria. The results were analyzed by extracting data into a data mapping table (PRISMA Flow Diagram). Results: 20 articles discussed factors related to safe sexual behavior among men with HIV/AIDS. These factors include individual perception, knowledge, and values. Discussion: It can be concluded that individual perception strongly influences safe sexual behavior among men, as individual perceptions can guide and motivate behavior.

Abstract

In March 2020, Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) was officially declared a pandemic. As a result, the economic and financial sectors, especially business activities that involve interactions between people severe due to the physical distancing policy. Several studies have analyzed the impact of the pandemic on the economic and financial sectors, but none have specifically discussed the impact on the service sector, especially in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on abnormal returns and abnormal volume of stocks in the service industry in Indonesia. Using the event study method, three business sectors most affected by COVID-19 in the service industry are investigated. Impact of the company's internal factors on the cumulative abnormal return is also examined using the robust least square regression method. This study finds a negative stock market reaction to the pandemic and social distancing announcement, and positive reaction for announcement of national economic recovery program and reopening economic activity with health protocol. All events had a negative impact on the abnormal volume of the stocks. Finally, either size or liquidity is found to be a significant driver of abnormal returns.

Abstract

Leprosy infection can cause anemia due to chronic disease (ACD). Multidrug therapy (MDT) for leprosy patients can overcome the infection. This study aims to determine the comparison in the incidence of ACD before and three months after MDT to leprosy patients at Prof. Dr. I G.N.G. Ngoerah Central General Hospital. A cross-sectional analytical observational study was conducted using secondary data from medical records of leprosy patients. A total of 142 samples were taken through total sampling. Data taken included gender, domicile, type of leprosy suffered, incidence of ACD, hemoglobin levels, and erythrocyte index before and three months after completing MDT leprosy therapy. Data analysis was carried out with SPSS version 21 using chi-square and paired t tests (dependent t-test), p value <0.05 means significant. The incidence of ACD was significantly higher before leprosy MDT therapy compared to 3 months after completing leprosy MDT therapy (49.3% vs. 16.2%; p value <0.001) with a prevalence ratio of 3.043 (2.021-4.584) CI95%. The mean hemoglobin levels, MCV, MCH, and MCHC levels 3 months after MDT leprosy therapy were significantly higher than before receiving MDT therapy (13.73 ± 1.47 vs. 12.40 ± 2.06 g/dL; p value <0.001), (88.18±7.22 vs. 84.07±9.55 fl; p value<0.001), (28.32±2.76 vs. 26.72±3.17 pg/cell; p value <0.001), (32.03±1.30 vs. 31.69±1.47%; p value<0.001). The incidence of ACD was significantly higher before MDT compared to 3 months after MDT. Mean hemoglobin, MCV, MCH, and MCHC levels were found to be significantly higher 3 months after MDT compared to before receiving MDT.
