Religious tolerance supports the conduciveness of society. This has far more impact on a religious country like Indonesia than it does on a secular one. In a religious country, religion has two sides, namely functional and dysfunctional. The functional side of religion can create peace. Conversely, the dysfunctional side of religion can lead to conflict in society. This study aims to analyze the model of religious tolerance that has developed in Jepara society. This research is a field research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out using semi-structured interviews with purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's data analysis framework. The results of this study show that the Jepara people have a strong tolerance value. The religious tolerance of the Jepara people turns out to have three main principles, namely the principle of religious freedom, the principle of acceptance, and the principle of positive thinking and trustworthiness. These principles then become a separate model in the implementation of religious tolerance in Jepara society. This model of tolerance is able to support religious conduciveness which then has an impact on the conduciveness of various aspects, such as social aspects.

The transformation of women's role in terrorism networks from victims to supporters, perpetrators and even recruiters as well as ideologues is now a social phenomenon in Indonesia. Civil society organizations (CSOs) responded to this phenomenon by forming the Working Group on Women and Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (WGWC). There are several reasons behind this movement, such as; the strong patriarchal culture and regime in society and policy makers, the lack of women's involvement in efforts to eradicate violent extremism and terrorism, and the sporadic work of CSOs. This research uses a qualitative methodology with a case study approach. Data and information were obtained from interviews and documentation. The research found several points. First, WGWC be a forum for activists, academics, and civil society organizations in Indonesia on gender mainstreaming and countering violent extremism in Indonesia issues. WGWC applies a collegial collective system by sharing the framework of civil society partners. WGWC works voluntarily, independently and autonomously. Second, WGWC acts as a critical and strategic partner of the government in gender mainstreaming by intervening in policies and programs of the National Action Plan for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism that Leads to Violence (RAN PE) and Regional Action Plans (RAD PE).

The deadlocks cutting ritual, known as ‘ruwatan rambut gimbal’ is one of the events in the Dieng Culture Festival which requires the presence of uborampe in its implementation. This study aims to reveal the symbolic significance of the uborampe which share a conceptual similarity with totems. This study uses a qualitative research with a semiotics analysis of Charles Sanders Peirce. The findings of this research indicate that: first, the uborempe presented in the ritual can be called a totem because it comes from animals and plants and symbolizes other sacred things. Second, the people of Dieng Banjarnegara are adherents of limited totemism or quasi totemism, because the totem in the dreadlock cutting ritual is not worshiped but contains an element of expected prayer. Third, forms of syncretism between Hindu, Javanese, and Islam appear in the use of prayer in Javanese and their meaning and offering of uborampe ritual. Fourth, the meaning of the totem in the treatment of the dreadlock cutting ritual in the perspective of Charles Sanders Peirce's Semiotics is categorised in three forms: symbols, icons, and cum icon symbols. The symbolic significance of one uborempe can be manifested in various meanings adjusted to the community that carries out the interpretation.

This article seeks to elaborate the ma’had al-jami’ah-based religious moderation policy at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. This issue is interesting because religious moderation is a government policy that must be implemented by government institutions, including Islamic religious universities. The problem is that there are no nationally formal technical-operational guidelines for implementation so each tertiary institution has an interpretation for making policies to strengthen religious moderation by their respective contexts and considerations. The current study used in this article is qualitative with data mining techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldańa model which divides the stages of data analysis into data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion. This article argues that UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah made interesting policies for religious moderation in the form of madrasah diniyah and ma’had al-jami’ah learning policies. Madrasah diniyah and ma’had al-jami’ah are designed not only as an activity to provide religious knowledge to students but also as a strategy for internalizing religious moderation and prevention of radicalism ideology.

This research seeks to examine the strengthening of Islamic and Hindu ethics in Java, playing a pivotal role in shaping the character of Javanese society and extending influence to the broader Indonesian community. Given the dominance of Javanese traditions, particularly in societal behavior, the empowerment process unfolds through interconnection and transformation within religious activities. This process brings forth the inherent genius of the local Javanese populace, fostering a religious dimension. This empowerment occurs by emphasizing the concentration of feelings (rasa) as the basis for behavior and the objectification of Javanese people's religious beliefs. The analysis methodology adopts content analysis with a comparative approach and an anthropolinguistic perspective. The goal of this methodological approach is to unveil the mechanism for cultivating profound self-awareness in relation to others, translating acquired knowledge (kaweruh) into tangible actions as a religious model. The resulting model of religious objectification represents the local genius and behavioral characteristics of Javanese Muslims. The study reveals that the features of religious objectification, expressing the truths inherited from ancestors, transform into local wisdom with an Islamic or Hindu religious essence. This transformation is indicated by three key Javanese cultural values: harmony, functional structure, and transcendental aspects. The applicability of these three values, especially for the Surakarta and Yogyakarta areas, also serves as an identity for the ethos of religious harmony and a factor in forming the behavioral character of Javanese Muslims and may extend to influence the Indonesian people in general.

This study aimed to explore the role of young Muslim consumer satisfaction as well as its antecedents and consequences. The sample study was 100 Muslim respondents who visited fast food restaurants at least twice last month and were 18-25 years old. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire survey around the city of Manado. The analysis technique used is the Structural Equation Model with Partial Least Square. The results showed that halal labelling, perceived price, product quality, and satisfaction directly affected loyalty. The indirect effect shows that perceived price does not significantly influence loyalty through satisfaction. The results of this study prove that the relationship between young Muslim consumers' satisfaction with the halal label and product quality can strengthen their commitment

This study aims to analyze the prevention of religious radicalism behavior in children through a psychological perspective. The research results show that the educational process at Green School Early Childhood Education plays a role in preventing children's radical behavior. However, individual identity, the influence of the social environment, and family dynamics also play a key role in forming radical attitudes and behavior. The prevention of religious radicalism behavior at Green School Early Childhood Education is carried out by promoting religious pluralism education, which is tolerance, by involving various parties. The theoretical implication of this research is the importance of a psychology-based approach in designing effective prevention programs. Education that emphasizes empathetic understanding, openness and critical understanding of religion can reduce the risk of radicalization. This study also reveals that recognizing the signs and seeds of potential radicalism in children as well as suitable, fast, and appropriate intervention is an important part of the strategy to prevent radicalism in children. The contribution of this study encourages the understanding that psychological approaches can be used as an urgent tool to prevent religious radicalism in children, in order to create a more inclusive, tolerant, and peaceful society

This is an ethnographic study with the location of this study being in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and Solo. Documentation and observation are the instruments which are used for this study. The result found that Kejawen is an example of this fusion, with many Islamic elements. In Kejawen, God is known as Sang Hyang Taya, which is connected to the Islamic idea of Allah. Muslims believe that Allah is the one God and that no other gods exist. From an Islamic theological stance, Kejawen emphasizes the importance of inner spirituality, human experience, and the interconnection of all things in the cosmos. There are many connections between it and Islamic ideas, including as the concept of God and the power of prayer.
