Abstract

The independent curriculum is a new policy first launched by the Minister of Education, Nadiem, which aims to hone children's interests and talents from an early age, by focusing on essential material, character development and student competencies. There are changes to the subject structure and the way the learning process is carried out in the Independent Curriculum. With these changes, the teaching staff at Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation schools still need guidance regarding the implementation of learning outcomes (CP) in the independent curriculum. To optimize curriculum implementation, the FT UNM Agricultural Technology Education PKM team carries out outreach and assistance to teaching staff. This activity aims to provide knowledge to teaching staff regarding the urgency and implications of the independent curriculum as well as the implementation of learning outcomes in the independent curriculum. Implementation of socialization is carried out using discussion and question and answer methods, where the socialization process carried out by teaching staff shows high interest and enthusiasm so that it has an impact on improving knowledge. This, supported by the questionnaire data that has been analyzed, shows that the category is very good (satisfactory) compared to the unsatisfactory category before the socialization was carried out.

Abstract

The purpose of implementing Peer Counseling Training for students is to provide knowledge and skills on how to conduct peer counseling and to instill an understanding that peer counseling is a form of social support for fellow students. The training method employs structured learning with the stages of preparation, assessment, implementation, and evaluation (3PE). The training activities were attended by 26 student representatives who would subsequently provide support to new students. The outcomes of the training indicate that students are capable of understanding the benefits and stages of implementing peer counseling through the conducted simulations. Evaluation results demonstrate that students comprehend that the execution of peer counseling serves as a form of social support for their fellow students.

Abstract

The application of the independent curriculum in learning activities is mandatory at every independent level, which requires teachers to be able to develop their instruments and innovate learning strategies or syntax so that the learning atmosphere becomes more enjoyable, both indoors and while working on projects outdoors. The aim of this service is to provide understanding and skills to teachers in compiling the syntax of learning activities, starting with introductory activities, core activities, and closing activities. In this service activity, there are 3 stages carried out, namely: (1) preparation stage; (2) implementation stage; and (3) evaluation stage. After the training activities, it was seen that the teachers were very enthusiastic and understood the flow in creating learning syntax on the independent synchronization instrument. This made it easier for each teacher to design their learning activities to be more fun and measurable

Abstract

In this digital era, artificial intelligence (AI) technology plays a crucial role in driving innovation in the education sector. This article discusses efforts to address challenges in understanding and practical skills among educators regarding the implementation of AI in learning. The focus is on training conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Kahu, which faces challenges in using AI to enhance the quality of learning media. The training begins with a basic understanding of AI, involving definitions, fundamental concepts, recent developments, and ethical aspects of AI usage. The final session of the training emphasizes the utilization of AI in developing interactive and adaptive learning media, particularly using Chat GPT. Participants engage in practical demonstrations and collaborative discussions to design the integration of this technology into the learning process. Post-training evaluations indicate an improvement in participants' understanding, although challenges in technology access need to be addressed. This training is expected to stimulate innovation, create an adaptive educational ecosystem, and provide a relevant and adaptive learning experience for students in the digital era.

Abstract

Teachers at SD Inpres Bonto-Bontoa currently employ conventional teaching models, while students are more inclined towards technology-based instruction. Therefore, efforts are needed to bridge this gap through the implementation of training sessions. The objective of this community service is to provide training to elementary school teachers on the application of teaching methods using the Canva for Education application, aiming to make the teaching methods applied by teachers more engaging. The community service was carried out directly in the IT Room of SD Inpres Bonto-Bontoa, involving 20 teachers and attended by school supervisors, the principal, several professors, and assisted by students. The implementation of community service at SD Inpres Bonto-Bontoa, facilitated in the form of Canva For Education training, has had a positive impact on enhancing teachers' skills in developing teaching materials, serving as a crucial step in technology adaptation within the education environment.

Abstract

Layonga Galung is one of the hamlets in Batulaya Village, Tinambung District, one of the sub-districts in Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi. The first stage of this service activity is conducting observations. Through observations, the people in Layonga Galung Hamlet know to work as livestock breeders and farmers. The public hopes information about animal feed can increase the productivity of livestock, cattle and goats. The solution to the problem offered in this activity is making fermented animal feed. Activities are carried out through counseling methods and providing materials, demonstrations, mentoring, and evaluation. The main ingredients used are leaves and plants, it has been used as animal feed in this village. Diluted brown sugar is used as a carbon source for Probio-7 microbes. The fermentation process was microaerophilically using a tarpaulin or bucket as a fermentation container, fermentation is carried out for two weeks. Based on the evaluation, the community in Layonga Galong Hamlet has been able to make fermented animal feed independently.

Abstract

This training activity is motivated by the challenges faced by our partners, namely that most educators primarily use traditional teaching methods, relying on chalkboards and occasionally incorporating PowerPoint slides. A significant number of educators employ lecture-style teaching during the learning process, resulting in a classroom environment that becomes monotonous and causes students to lose focus. Consequently, learners are unable to concentrate on the lessons being delivered in the classroom. Therefore, there is a pressing need for engaging learning media that meet the needs of students and enhance their learning determination. This training program is specifically designed for educators at SMAS Islam Ibadurrahman, as many educators there encounter difficulties in applying various media or applications in teaching, especially in the field of mathematics. The objective of this training is to enhance the educators' ability to utilize existing technology, particularly the Kahoot platform, as a means of teaching. The aim is to make educators more creative and capable of increasing students' interest in learning. The training activities was focus on the used and creation of Kahoot-based learning media. The outcome of this initiative was expected to increased the knowledge and skills of educators at SMAS Islam Ibadurrahman regarding the use of Kahoot as a teaching tool in the classroom.

Abstract

The demand for education in the 4.0 era requires that the learning process be able to implement a digital-based learning. System. Strategies in teaching are needed to improve student learning outcomes, one strategy that can be used is the mind mapping method. Through the mind mapping method, students will quickly understand the learning material so that the learning process can be carried out effectively and meet the learning objectives. The aim of this service activity is to improve the ability of Bhayangkari Makassar Middle School teachers in increasing understanding and application of mind mapping learning media. With this training, it is hoped that Kemala Bhayangkari Middle School teachers will be able to apply mind mapping in the learning process. This activity is carried out based on three stages, namely: (1) preparation, (2) activity stage and (3) evaluation stage. The results obtained by the PKM team of the PTP Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, were that the Kemala Bhayangkara Middle School teachers were able to apply the Mind Mapping learning method. This can be seen from the participants' enthusiasm in understanding and applying mind mapping. This training will also provide benefits especially for students in terms of learning methods. Improving the quality of learning will be better and not always conventional.

Abstract

The main problem in implementing this Community Service activity is how to improve the quality of human resources for members of PKBM Want to Advance Bantaeng Regency in maintaining and repairing household electrical equipment. The aim and benefit of carrying out the activity is to provide basic knowledge for PKBM Want to Advance members on how to maintain and repair household electrical equipment quickly and precisely. The rationale behind this training activity is how to ensure that PKBM Want to Progress Bantaeng Regency members no longer have difficulties in maintaining and repairing household electrical equipment, both PKBM members themselves and in the community. This training is also carried out using lecture, discussion, question and answer and simulation (practice) methods. From these results it can be concluded that the skills of the Bantaeng Regency Want to Advance PKBM members in maintaining and repairing household electrical equipment have increased significantly.

Abstract

Learning media are facilities or tools used in the learning process to assist teachers in conveying information and learning materials to students. Learning media can be electronic media, such as video, audio and presentations, as well as non-electronic media, such as books, pictures and real objects. The use of learning media in the classroom can help students understand and remember learning information more easily and effectively, as well as increase student interaction and learning motivation. Apart from that, the use of learning media can also increase the efficiency of the learning process in the classroom and help teachers manage learning time more effectively. Based on the results of initial observations carried out in Takalar Regency, the research team found that the available learning tools did not fully support the achievement of learning objectives. There are still shortcomings in developing and using concepts and implementing innovative and interactive media. In fact, the use of learning media in class can help students understand and remember learning information more easily and effectively, as well as increase student interaction and learning motivation. It is considered important to develop teacher competency in Takalar district so that training is held which is expected to improve teachers' abilities in developing more innovative and effective teaching techniques so that they can improve the quality of learning in the classroom and achieve the desired learning goals.
