Abstract

Science Integration (IPAS) under the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SD Negeri 13 Lolong, Padang City. The study was motivated by the empirical issue that students often experience difficulties in understanding IPAS concepts due to monotonous teaching methods and limited learning media. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with the data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the class teacher, the school principal, and 28 students. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model, including data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity ensured through source and theory triangulation. The results revealed that students’ main problems included the lack of varied learning media, low learning motivation, and limited active participation during lessons. These issues led to passive learning activities and reduced conceptual understanding. The findings indicate that effective IPAS learning requires teachers to apply interactive and contextual learning models, utilize simple digital media, and design project-based activities that relate to students’ daily experiences. The study also emphasizes the importance of school support in providing adequate learning facilities to optimize the Merdeka Curriculum implementation.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the difficulties experienced by students in understanding the concept of simple fractions, which are abstract in nature and often led to misconceptions. In addition, the learning module used by teachers was still limited to textbooks, making it less attractive to students. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a flipbook-based learning module on the topic of simple fractions for fourth grade elementary school students. The type of research used was Research and Development (R&D), and the development model applied was ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The product developed was a flipbook-based learning module. The results of the study showed that the module obtained an average score of 88.70% (very valid) from material, media, and language experts. The practicality test showed a score of 85.41% (very practical) based on teacher and student responses. The effectiveness test indicated an improvement in student learning outcomes with a mastery percentage above 80%. Thus, it was concluded that the flipbook-based learning module on the concept of simple fractions was feasible to be used in mathematics learning for fourth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Posters are one of the most effective instructional media for delivering information visually in an engaging and easily understandable manner for students. This study employed a descriptive literature review approach to analyze the implementation of poster media in the learning process by collecting and reviewing various relevant scholarly articles from educational journals. The findings indicate that poster media are effective in enhancing students’ understanding of learning materials, particularly due to their ability to simplify complex information into more accessible and communicative visual forms. Furthermore, the study reveals that poster media have significant potential to support successful learning outcomes when used appropriately. However, their effectiveness largely depends on the quality of poster design, teachers’ understanding in developing media aligned with learning objectives, and students’ visual characteristics. Therefore, this study contributes important insights that poster media are not only attractive learning aids but also an effective strategy for developing creative and contextual visual education in elementary school settings.

Abstract

The loss of a father during late adolescence often results in serious psychological trauma that disrupts emotional and social development. This study aimed to explore the traumatic experiences associated with father loss and the process of emotional recovery in late adolescents. Using a qualitative case study design, the population comprised late adolescents who experienced the sudden loss of a father, with a purposive sample of one participant who met the age and experiential criteria. The primary instrument was a semi-structured in-depth interview, which was analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach through thematic coding and interpretation of subjective meanings. The findings revealed trauma symptoms such as flashbacks, trigger-related anxiety, concentration difficulties, and avoidance behaviors. Emotional recovery was supported by social support from a romantic partner and spiritual practices, particularly prayer. The conclusion emphasizes that the combination of these factors facilitates self-acceptance and emotional resilience, and it recommends holistic interventions in adolescent counseling.

Abstract

This study analyzes Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System within the framework of Indonesian criminal law. The research aims to examine the substance of the law, identify weaknesses in the regulation of criminal sanctions for children, and propose recommendations for future legal reform. This study employs a normative juridical method with a descriptive-analytical approach by analyzing legal norms, statutory provisions, and scholarly doctrines relevant to juvenile criminal justice. The research utilizes secondary data, including primary legal materials such as the Criminal Code (KUHP), Law Number 35 of 2014 on Child Protection, and Law Number 11 of 2012 on the Juvenile Criminal Justice System, as well as supporting secondary and tertiary legal materials. The findings indicate that the law embodies the principles of restorative justice and ultimum remedium as the foundation of child protection in criminal proceedings. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, particularly the inconsistency between Law Number 11 of 2012 and Supreme Court Regulation Number 4 of 2014 regarding the application of diversion. In addition, the restriction that prevents imprisonment for children under 12 years old creates a legal gap in dealing with serious offenses committed by minors, leading to public concern over justice and deterrence. Therefore, legal reform is required to strengthen the consistency of restorative justice practices, enhance the competence of law enforcement officers, and ensure that juvenile criminal sanctions remain educational, rehabilitative, and aligned with the best interests of the child.

Abstract

Micro-retirement is a phenomenon currently prevalent in Indonesia. Micro-retirement, or early retirement, is a phenomenon where individual workers, both men and women, decide to take a break from work for a few months or even years. The purpose of this study was to examine whether male and female gender correlation workers' perceptions of micro-retirement decisions. The sample size for this study was 59 people who were still employed. The sample characteristics were employees who were still working, both men and women, working in Indonesia. Researchers distributed questionnaires to the sample to be completed online. This study used a quantitative method by conducting a chi-square correlation test. This method was used to examine whether gender had a significant influence on the perception of micro-retirement among Indonesian employees. If the sig. <0.05, then the null hypothesis is rejected and Hypothesis a is accepted. The result of the correlation test in this study was 0.862. Because the result was more than 0.05, the null hypothesis was accepted. This means there is no relationship between gender and the perception of micro-retirement. This research demonstrates that both men and women can have micro-retirement perceptions. However, gender is not the determining factor in employees' perceptions of early retirement. Several factors influence individuals' perceptions of micro-retirement, including health, work stress, and family.

Abstract

This study presents an in-depth review of the concept of Life-Long Education within the framework of the Hadith (sayings and actions) of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, emphasizing that this idea is not an imported concept but a theological obligation and a solid philosophical foundation within Islam. Although education is often misunderstood as a formal process that ceases upon graduation, the Hadith unequivocally establishes thalabul ‘ilmi (seeking knowledge) as fardhu 'ain (an individual obligation) whose execution transcends age limits, continuing persistently “from the cradle to the grave.” The research method used is a qualitative-descriptive literature review focusing on the thematic analysis of the Hadith, supported by relevant academic literature from the last ten years. The analysis is focused on the meaningful interpretation of key Ahadith (plural of Hadith) concerning thalabul ‘ilmi, tarbiyah (character development), and al-ilm an-nafi’ (beneficial knowledge). The findings of this study indicate that the Hadith provides a holistic framework that successfully integrates intellectual competence and moral integrity, where tarbiyah and the formation of insan kamil (the perfect human being) are the main objectives of the continuous education process.
