Abstract

Operational cost efficiency is a key pillar in maintaining a company's competitiveness amid fluctuations in production factor prices. This study aims to analyze the application of the least cost combination concept in determining the optimal proportion of production inputs (labor and capital) to achieve a specific output target. The analysis method used is based on the Cobb-Douglas production function approach and the use of isocost and isoquant to find the point of tangency that minimizes total costs. The results show that companies often face inefficiencies due to the imbalance of resource allocation in relation to the marginal productivity of each input. By directing the marginal productivity ratio per unit of currency to be equivalent between inputs, companies can reduce budget waste without compromising output quality or quantity. From a managerial perspective, this finding emphasizes the importance of periodically evaluating input prices in the market so that substitutions between production factors can be made accurately to maintain healthy profit margins.

Abstract

This study examines the performance comparison between the Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) and the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) in supporting UAV real-time video streaming within constrained network environments. The research aims to identify which protocol provides better transmission quality when network limitations such as restricted bandwidth, high latency, and fluctuating connectivity occur. The methodology involves capturing and analyzing Quality of Service (QoS) parameters including latency, jitter, throughput, and packet loss under simulated limited-network conditions. Wireshark and controlled bandwidth-limiting scenarios were used to measure protocol behavior during video transmission. The results indicate that UDP achieves lower latency and higher throughput due to its lightweight and connectionless nature, making it more efficient for real-time applications but more susceptible to packet loss in unstable network conditions. In contrast, RTSP, operating over TCP, provides more reliable data delivery with significantly lower packet loss but introduces higher latency and jitter, which may affect real-time responsiveness. These findings offer guidance for selecting an appropriate protocol based on UAV mission requirements and network availability, ensuring more adaptive and efficient video streaming performance in constrained environments.

Abstract

Coal-fired power plants are the dominant source of electricity in Indonesia but also a major contributor to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, posing challenges to the country’s net-zero emission commitment by 2060. This study aims to quantify the impact of biomass co-firing on emission reduction and carbon credit potential in Pangkalan Susu, Kabupaten Langkat, North Sumatra Power Plant using the 2006 IPCC Guidelines (Tier 2). Operational data from 2022 (100% coal) and 2024 (coal–biomass mix) were analyzed through a mass and energy balance approach. Results indicate that integrating 41,324 tons of solid biomass and 3,798 kiloliters of liquid biomass in 2024 reduced coal consumption by 24,379 tons and cut CO₂ emissions by 38,419 tons compared to the 2022 baseline. Although the substitution rate was only 1.72% of the fuel mix, the reduction was measurable and economically significant, providing potential carbon credit value. These findings highlight biomass co-firing as a viable strategy to reduce GHG emissions and support Indonesia’s energy transition, while emphasizing the need for advanced methodologies (Tier 3, LCA) and sustainable biomass supply chains to ensure long-term implementation.

Abstract

This study examines the role of innovation strategy in improving firm performance within Jakarta’s manufacturing ecosystem, encompassing large, medium-sized enterprises, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Using a quantitative explanatory approach, this research analyzes the causal relationships among leadership orientation, innovation strategy, investment level, and firm performance. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to owners and managers of manufacturing firms operating in DKI Jakarta. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), preceded by Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) to ensure measurement validity and reliability. The results indicate that leadership orientation has a significant positive effect on innovation strategy and investment level. Innovation strategy also significantly strengthens investment level, which in turn exerts a strong positive influence on firm performance. In addition, leadership orientation directly contributes to firm performance. These findings suggest that innovation-driven strategies, supported by effective leadership and sustained investment, are essential for enhancing productivity and competitiveness in Jakarta’s manufacturing sector. This study contributes empirical insights to strategic management literature and offers practical implications for managers and policymakers.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, increasing firm value is crucial for attracting investors and maintaining competitiveness. However, prior research regarding the determinants of firm value remains inconsistent. This study aims to analyze the influence of sustainability report disclosure and capital structure on firm value, while examining the moderating role of operational activity. The research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2022–2023 period. Samples were selected using purposive sampling, and data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results indicate that sustainability report disclosure has a significant positive effect on firm value, reflecting that transparency enhances investor confidence. Conversely, capital structure has a significant negative effect, suggesting that high debt levels may increase financial risk and lower firm value. Furthermore, operational activity proves to be a significant moderating variable. Specifically, high operational activity weakens the influence of both sustainability reporting and capital structure on firm value. This implies that when companies demonstrate high operational efficiency and asset utilization, investors tend to prioritize actual operational performance over sustainability disclosures or funding decisions when assessing firm value. These findings contribute to the literature by highlighting how internal operational efficiency shifts investor focus and alters the impact of financial and non-financial disclosures.

Abstract

The preparation of the Regional Government Implementation Report (LPPD) is a constitutional obligation of regional heads as a form of accountability for government administration to the central government and society. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of LPPD preparation through coordination among regional apparatus in Tangerang Regency in 2023, identify inhibiting factors, and describe efforts made to improve preparation effectiveness. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Research informants consist of the Regional Secretary, Head of Government Administration Section, representatives from the Inspectorate, Regional Planning and Development Agency, Population and Civil Registration Office, and staff of the Government Administration Section selected using purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. Data analysis was conducted using Duncan's effectiveness theory which includes three dimensions: goal attainment, integration, and adaptation. The research results show that the implementation of LPPD preparation in Tangerang Regency in 2023 has generally not been effective. In the goal attainment dimension, delays in data submission from most regional apparatus were found, with only four apparatus completing data on the first request letter. In the integration dimension, coordination and communication among regional apparatus are still weak, evident from slow responses to data requests and ineffective communication through WhatsApp groups. In the adaptation dimension, there are still obstacles in using the SiLPPD application and limited human resources who understand technical guidelines. Inhibiting factors include delays in data submission, weak coordination and communication, absence of reward and punishment systems, limited human resources, and technical obstacles in using the SiLPPD application. Efforts to improve effectiveness are carried out through strengthening coordination among regional apparatus, increasing supervision and evaluation, implementing coaching clinics, and applying parallel validation by the Inspectorate. This research concludes that although there have been improvement efforts, the effectiveness of LPPD preparation still requires strengthening through the formation of a permanent LPPD Coordination Team, comprehensive SOP development, establishment of clear reward and punishment systems, and continuous human resource capacity building.

Abstract

This study examines Robert P. Weller’s theoretical contributions to understanding the relationship between religious transformation and the capitalist economic system in Asia. Weller challenges the Weberian secularization paradigm by proposing a dialectical model of secularization–religionization and a typology of three religious responses to capitalism: embracing amorality, prosperity theology, and philanthropic amelioration. Through empirical studies in Taiwan, he demonstrates that religion is not a victim of modernity but a moral actor negotiating global economic values. This review evaluates Weller’s theoretical framework, methodological approach, empirical contributions, as well as its limitations and directions for future research.

Abstract

This study analyzes the contribution of Seasoning LLR, a local small and medium enterprise (SME), in Putat Village, Tanggulangin District, Sidoarjo Regency, to employment and poverty reduction. Using a mixed-methods approach, quantitative data were obtained from a structured questionnaire distributed to 35 respondents, while qualitative data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations. The study findings indicate that Seasoning LLR plays a significant role in providing employment, particularly for women and individuals with low educational backgrounds. Approximately 46% of respondents work in Seasoning LLR, making it a key driver of local economic activity. This enterprise not only contributes to increased income but also empowers women by integrating them into productive economic activities. However, the study also identified challenges, including limited capital, inadequate marketing strategies, and low human resource capacity. Although employment absorption is evident, its impact on income growth remains relatively small, with only 38% of workers experiencing an increase in income. Therefore, innovation in product development, digital marketing expansion, and skills training are important strategies to increase the contribution of this business. Overall, Seasoning LLR demonstrates potential as a community-based model for sustainable poverty alleviation and rural economic empowerment.
