Abstract

A prosperous family is a family that is formed based on a valid marriage, and that meets the spiritual and material needs of a decent life, has harmonious and harmonious, balanced relationships between family members and society and the environment. To improve family quality, there are 5 pillars in indicators of family resilience and welfare that must be met, namely indicators of legality, integrity and gender equality, physical resilience, economic resilience, psychological resilience, and socio-cultural resilience. Through the Unimas Village T/A 2023/2024 Thematic Science KKN program, group 3 seeks to provide education and optimize programs carried out by the government as an effort to increase family resilience. The programs that we are optimizing include the introduction of recycling used materials to create a clean and productive environment, besides that it can improve the family economy. Socialization regarding the impact of early marriage and reducing stunting rates. Socialization raises awareness of the law of criminal acts in the household and deviant behavior. Through these socialization activities, the aim is to foster understanding, awareness and discipline in following and implementing existing government programs. It is hoped that with understanding, discipline and community participation in government programs, stable and prosperous family resilience will be created.

Abstract

This community service project refers to the UMKM program which includes providing outreach to residents on how to use coconuts and Moringa leaves as a food security innovation. Moringa leaves have the property of lowering blood sugar levels and also have quite high levels of vitamins A and C. And coconuts have the property of reducing inflammation and contain MCT compounds. For this reason, Moringa leaves are processed into Moringa sticks and coconut fruit into chips that are suitable for snacking. Using a hands-on practical approach, this community service project was completed with PKK women in Kedungsari Village. If this business is successful, it will provide benefits to the people of Kedungsari Village at a time when new snack foods are becoming popular and popular in the area because the way they are made is very rare. carried out in society. With its advantages and potential, the people of Kedungsari Village in Mojokerto Regency can gain economic benefits from increasing the use of coconut fruit and Moringa leaves in snacks. This article attempts to develop the original and creative thinking capacity of KKN students while also answering problems related to increasing local economic development through exercises and applications in making goods for the home industry. Abstract

This activity aims to empower the Kembangan hamlet community to increase family income and food security through utilizing the potential of tea in the area. Activities were carried out involving lecturers and students from local educational institutions, with the active participation of 8 hamlet residents. The method used involves the process of collecting field data, analyzing the potential of tea in the local area, as well as providing training in tea processing techniques. Lecturers as facilitators provide knowledge and skills to students and residents in managing tea plants efficiently and using appropriate processing techniques. The results of this activity include improving the quality of tea, diversifying tea processed products, and implementing sustainable agricultural practices. Apart from that, residents are also guided in marketing local tea products, both conventionally and via digital platforms, in order to increase market access and income.

Abstract

Organic fertiliser is fertiliser derived from dead plants, animal manure or animal parts and organic waste that has gone through an engineering process, in the form of solid or liquid, rich in mineral and microbial materials, useful for increasing soil nutrient content and improving physical, chemical and biological properties of soil. Increase soil nutrient content and improve soil physical, chemical, biological properties. Organic fertilisers undergo a phase of decomposition by soil microorganisms so that the nutrients are absorbed by plants and the rest becomes humus. Its use provides long-term benefits, including forming ions and nutrients that are easily absorbed by plant roots, releasing soil nutrients slowly and sustainably so as to help prevent nutrient supply explosions that cause plant poisoning, helping to maintain soil moisture, reducing soil structure pressure on plant roots, increasing the stability of soil particle composition so as to facilitate the movement of water and air particles in the soil, facilitating the activity of good microorganisms, and increasing root and seed growth. This community service programme in Pandankrajan Village has demonstrated strategies to increase the selling value of agricultural production, which will benefit farmers by increasing their income.

Abstract

Weed control in oil palm plants is very necessary because it can cause losses both directly and indirectly. Kampar Polytechnic's partner in this PKM activity is the Pancuran Gading Village Office which is the Village Government that leads the implementation of Village development, development of Village community, and empowerment of Village communities, the majority of whom are oil palm farmers. So far, oil palm farmers prefer to use herbicides to control weeds. The impact of using herbicides is that it is not environmentally friendly and tends to increase maintenance costs because the price of herbicides is increasing every year. One solution that can be used is the use of the legume cover crop (LCC) Mucuna bracteata. Apart from functioning to suppress weed growth, LCC also plays a role in increasing soil fertility. With this community service activity, it is hoped that oil palm farmers will be able to cultivate Mucuna bracteata well in order to control weeds on oil palm plantations. In this way, dependence on herbicides can be reduced and oil palm maintenance costs can become more economical.

Abstract

Sawah Village is one of the villages in North Kampar District, Kampar Regency, Riau. Most of the village community's occupations are farmers and housewives. Based on the results of interviews, there is household waste that is wasted and there is a lack of knowledge about the use of household waste. Therefore, there is a need for information through guidance in training for the community regarding the use of waste in their environment. This service activity aims to guide and train the community in utilizing household waste, especially egg shells and shallot skins. This activity hopes that the community will be able to make organic fertilizer independently by utilizing household waste in the form of egg shells and onion skins and can be applied to plants cultivated at home. Apart from that, organic fertilizer increases innovation, creativity and economic value for the community, especially representatives of PKK women from Sawah Village, Air Tiris, Kampar.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, learning English is increasingly important in education and careers. However, many teachers still experience difficulties in using flipcharts effectively in English classes. This research aims to find out whether the use of flipcharts can improve English learning outcomes and how to use flipcharts effectively in teaching English. This research was conducted at SMA NU Palangka Raya, where a training program was implemented to improve the quality of English learning using innovative media, including flipcharts. This program consists of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The research results show that the use of flipcharts significantly increases students' understanding and participation in learning English. This research concludes that flipcharts are an effective tool for teaching English and recommends integrating flipcharts into the curriculum to increase student participation and motivation. Further evaluation is recommended to evaluate the long-term impact of innovative media on English language learning.

Abstract

Physics learning at high school level during the COVID-19 pandemic was carried out in a hybrid manner, namely a combination of face-to-face and online, resulting in teaching staff experiencing changes in teaching methods. Change from completely online to partly online (live streaming) and face to face in class. This hybrid learning needs to be done with the OBS Studio application for live streaming. Classroom learning uses OBS Studio and record the screen so it can be read well on live streaming.

Abstract

Since it turns out the textbook's value as the primary focus of the curriculum, particularly in EFL environments cannot be understated. According to recent studies, even the most-latest textbooks provide insufficient amounts of pragmatic material to help learners enhance their pragmatic competence. Much more research regarding the extent and level of speaking acts must be conducted before future textbooks, specifically for EFL purposes. They are must able to deliver reliable and suitable examples of pragmatic information. Train for Thoughts and Life Today EFL Textbook are not yet comparable. To establish which of the two has more varieties of speech act categories, as well as the percentage and content of each. The study analyzes dialogue speech acts in two Indonesian EFL textbooks created by Kemendikbud and based on the Merdeka Curriculum. In this study, the descriptive qualitative method is applied. To examine each chapter of the dialogue section, the researcher implemented a table of checklists from Searle's (1979) Speech-Act Classification. Then, multiply the total number of speech acts categorised in each chapter by the percentage of the EFL Textbook. The two results were then compared.

Abstract

This initiative takes place in RT II RW V of Ridan Permai Village. Typically, homemakers with idle hours between caring for their families have inspired us to create a program focused on Training in Crafting Wedding Gifts and Dowries. This initiative serves as a potential side hustle for these housewifes, allowing them to use their newfound skills to generate additional income. The primary goal is to empower housewifes to explore independent service ventures, equip them with skills, and boost their individual and collective earnings. The implementation methods include lectures/discussions, skills training/workshops, and mentoring.
