Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' cognitive processes when solving mathematics problems regarding squares and rectangles, based on Bloom's Taxonomy, in the seventh-grade class at Weemaringi Christian Junior High School. A descriptive method was employed, involving the entire seventh-grade cohort of nine students. Data were collected through tests, interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the students' cognitive processes remain dominated by low- to mid-level thinking skills. Test results show that six students (67%) fell into the medium category and three students (33%) into the low category, with no students reaching the high category. At the C1 cognitive level, students were able to recall previously learned concepts, formulas, and information. However, at levels C2, C3, and C4, some students still struggled to understand concepts, apply formulas, and analyze problems. At levels C5 and C6, students were not yet able to evaluate solution steps or independently create problems and their solutions. The study concludes that the students' cognitive processes have not yet optimally achieved high-level thinking skills. Teachers are advised to provide practice problems that focus on the skills of analyzing, evaluating, and creating

Abstract

Psychological readiness is a factor that can influence an athlete's ability to execute technical skills during matches. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between self-confidence and match performance among female volleyball athletes participating in the extracurricular program at SMA Negeri 1 Ciniru. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional correlational design was employed. The study population consisted of 30 active members, from which 15 female athletes aged 15–17 with match experience were selected via purposive sampling. Self-confidence was measured using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire covering self-concept, self-esteem, perception of physical condition, and match experience. Match performance was assessed using a rubric evaluating serving, passing, smashing, and blocking skills. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression at a 5% significance level. The results revealed a very strong positive relationship between self-confidence and match performance (r = 0.879; p < 0.001). Regression analysis also indicated a positive coefficient (B = 0.782; p < 0.001). These findings highlight the importance of considering self-confidence in the development of school volleyball athletes.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the difficulties faced by two 7th-grade students with hearing impairments A and K at SLB Negeri Pembina Palembang in crafting songket fabric scrap necklaces, as well as the limited use of instructional media for vocational skills. The study aimed to improve vocational skills in making these souvenirs through the use of video tutorials. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) method was employed, conducted over two cycles each comprising four meetings following the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of the two students with hearing impairments and one classroom teacher. Data were collected through skills tests, observation, documentation, and reflection, and subsequently analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The results indicated that the students' initial skills fell into the low category, with a mastery level of 0%. Following the intervention using video tutorials in Cycle I, achievement rose to 89% for Student A and 90% for Student K; performance improved further in Cycle II after adjustments were made based on reflections from Cycle I. Thus, video tutorials can enhance the vocational skills of students with hearing impairments in crafting necklaces from songket fabric scraps.

Abstract

Village digitalization depends not only on infrastructure but also on officials’ capacity to learn and use digital systems. This study analyzes the digital competence of officials in Besu Village and develops an organizational learning framework for strengthening the use of the Village Information System (SID). A qualitative case-study design combined in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving the Village Secretary, Head of General and Administrative Affairs, and SID Operator. Thematic analysis revealed four patterns: digital knowledge and operational skills were concentrated in the operator; routine rather than advanced features dominated system use; fear of error and low confidence inhibited independent practice; and one-off training did not generate sustained knowledge transfer. The study proposes the BELAJAR-SID framework, integrating baseline assessment, tiered education, task-based practice, workplace mentoring, communities of practice, and competence review. The findings demonstrate that workplace learning arrangements are essential for converting individual technical expertise into distributed organizational capability and for reducing service dependence on a single operator.

Abstract

This study examines how workforce planning, recruitment and placement, competency development, performance appraisal, and compensation operate as an interconnected learning infrastructure at Morosi Community Health Centre, Indonesia. The study employed a qualitative case study design, with data collected through in-depth interviews with the head of the community health center, the head of administration, and senior nurses, as well as through observation and document analysis. Thematic analysis identified five interrelated gaps: workforce planning was constrained by top-down staffing decisions; placement did not consistently match competence; professional development was uneven and weakly followed up; appraisal emphasized administrative compliance rather than developmental feedback; and compensation was perceived as insufficiently transparent and responsive to workload. Leadership commitment and policy support enabled partial adaptation, but limited staffing, budget, facilities, and bureaucratic flexibility restricted organizational learning. The study proposes the LEARN-PHC framework, integrating needs-based workforce planning, competency-aligned placement, workplace learning, developmental appraisal, and fair learning-linked rewards. The findings position HRM as an educational architecture for developing an adaptive primary-care workforce in rapidly changing industrial settings.

Abstract

Patient-centered obstetric care requires healthcare personnel to understand the patient experience and utilize feedback to improve communication, privacy, coordination, and trust. This study aimed to analyze the experiences of returning patients regarding service quality and loyalty in community-based obstetric practices in Kendari, while also identifying professional learning needs. A qualitative case study design was employed, utilizing semi-structured interviews, non-participatory observation, and document review. Data were analyzed thematically using the SERVQUAL model as a sensitizing framework. Loyalty was understood through patient narratives regarding decisions to return, recommend services, and maintain relationships with providers, rather than through quantitative scores. The findings indicate that five dimensions of service quality shape the patient experience. Empathy and assurance emerged as the strongest aspects in fostering trust, repeat visits, recommendations, and patient retention. Patients valued the staff's ability to listen, explain information clearly, respect privacy, demonstrate professional confidence, and respond to needs in a coordinated manner. The study proposes the CARE-LEARN framework, which links patient experiences with team reflection, simulation, microlearning, and continuous service improvement

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and test ethnopedagogy-based Social Studies (IPS) learning media to enhance local wisdom literacy among fourth-grade students at SDN 03 Bilah Barat. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach, adapting the Borg and Gall model into five simplified stages: needs analysis, product design, validation and revision, limited field testing, and effectiveness testing. Effectiveness was assessed using a quasi-experimental Non-equivalent Control Group Design involving 52 students, divided into an experimental group (26 students) and a control group (26 students). Data were collected via expert validation sheets and local wisdom literacy tests (pre-test and post-test). Expert validation results indicated a validity score of 89.00%, deeming the media highly suitable for use. An Independent Samples t-Test revealed a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups (p < 0.05). The mean post-test score for the experimental group was 85.38, higher than the control group's 69.62. A Cohen's d value of 2.33 indicated a very large effect size. The findings demonstrate that ethnopedagogy-based Social Studies learning media can serve as an alternative instructional tool to support local wisdom literacy among fourth-grade elementary school students.
