Abstract

Early childhood education (ECE) is an important foundation for individual growth, ethics, and creative abilities. Schools and families must work together to support education at an early stage, especially the role of parents in creating an environment that supports children's exploration. This study was conducted using a qualitative methodology with a case study at Al Madani Kindergarten in Banjarejo, Pagelaran, Malang Regency. Data were collected through direct observation at the school and in-depth interviews with teachers and parents. The results showed that active parental involvement strengthened the home-school relationship and instilled cultural and spiritual values in children's lives. Children enjoyed their exploration in a pleasant home environment, which had a positive impact on their cognitive, emotional, and social development. These results show how important it is for schools, parents, and communities to work together to create a comprehensive educational ecosystem. This ecosystem is very important to support children's development from an early age and build a strong foundation for their future. Abstract

This study A sense of responsibility in early childhood does not develop automatically but rather through the imitation of behaviors and habits of people in their surroundings. This study aims to enhance children's sense of responsibility through storytelling and role-playing methods. The subjects of the study were 15 kindergarten B students at TK Muslimat NU 5 Sholeh Yusuf, located in Kidal Village, Tumpang District. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and Taggart model, conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings and involving four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed qualitatively. The observed indicators of responsibility included the ability to complete tasks, take care of personal and others' belongings, and tidy up tools after use. The results showed a significant improvement from 62.7% in the pre-cycle to 81.6% in the second meeting of the second cycle. Specifically, 80% of the children were able to complete tasks, 80% could take care of personal belongings, and 86.6% were able to tidy up tools after use. These findings indicate that the implemented methods had not only a statistically positive impact but also reflected real behavioral changes in the children's daily lives. Storytelling allowed children to internalize moral values in an imaginative way, while role-playing provided direct experiences in practicing responsibility. Both methods align with Vygotsky’s constructivist theory, which emphasizes the importance of social learning. Therefore, storytelling and role-playing are effective in developing a sense of responsibility in early childhood. Keywords:  Storytelling Method; Role Playing; Responsibility

Abstract

This study investigates the strategy for aqidah (Islamic creed) internalization through tauhid-based educational management at Cinta Medina School Surakarta, an Islamic preschool institution that embeds tauhid values into its curriculum, instructional activities, and institutional culture. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with the school’s foundation management, and document analysis. The findings indicate that aqidah internalization is systematically implemented through four core components: tauhid-focused instructional planning, integration of thematic and ritual activities such as dhuha and dzuhur prayer in congregation, collaborative engagement of teachers and parents, and reflective narrative-based spiritual assessment. A key innovation is the implementation of a dedicated subject called “First Tauhid,” delivered twice weekly using fun learning methods rooted in fitrah development. The study affirms the relevance of the Islamic Early Childhood Education framework and Al-Attas’ Theory of Fitrah, and contributes a replicable, holistic model of Islamic educational management for early childhood institutions. Abstract

The development of fine motor skills in early childhood tends to progress more slowly than gross motor skills, thus requiring continuous stimulation to reach optimal growth. Children with well-developed fine motor skills generally perform better in academic areas such as writing and arithmetic. This study aims to examine the implementation of a tempe-based cooking class activity in improving the fine motor skills of children aged 5–6 years at KB Agung Kencana Randuagung Singosari, involving 20 students as subjects. The research employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the spiral model by Kemmis and McTaggart, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages carried out over two cycles. The researcher acted as a facilitator and active observer, collaborating with the teacher. The observed indicators of fine motor skills included the children's ability to grate, squeeze, mix, and shape tempe dough. The results showed a significant improvement from an average of 54% in the pre-cycle stage to 91% by the end of the second cycle. This demonstrates that cooking classes using local ingredients such as tempe not only provide enjoyable learning experiences but are also effective in enhancing children’s manipulative skills. Future research is recommended to explore other local materials as learning media to support various aspects of early childhood development.
